☺ SUPER SATURDAY ☺

You say why is it super, well it is super because we are able to walk, talk, pray, love, smell the wonderful fall air, see the pretty flowers growing, you get the picture here. It is a wonderful day, it is bright and sunny here in Georgia a typical day in September for here. My family is coming today for a cookout, and I am thrilled about that, I pray that we have a wonderful time, and they come back more often, us ole folks get lonely way up here away from friends and family. I thank God for my church but as you know it is a ways away too, a half hour drive for us. And yep it is in Florida too, lol but we are beginning to feel this is right where God would have us for some unknown reason, the thought "You got what you wanted, but lost what you had keeps going through my mind," not sure what God is telling us, but we are stopping to listen closer and try to figure it out. There is no urgent need to move, our home is paid for, and it is a great place to live, quiet, just beautiful, "but" so far from all we love. It has been years since we had any family around, but now in our twilight years it seems more important to us, not sure why, so we will sit, and pray, an think of what God is really gonna do with us. Hope you have a super Saturday in what ever you may find to do. Remember... The Will of God never takes you to where the Grace of God will not protect you. Amen and Amen
PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES
INGREDIENTS
3/4 Cup peanut butter 1/2 Cup shortening (chilled) 1 1/4 Cups firmly packed brown sugar 1 Egg 3 Tbsp. milk 1 Tbsp. vanilla 1 3/4 Cups white all purpose flour 3/4 Tsp. baking soda 3/4 Tsp. salt
DIRECTIONS Preheat Oven to 375 F. Cream peanut butter, shortening, brown sugar, egg, milk and vanilla in a large bowl at medium speed until smooth and creamy. Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture above slowly and beat at low speed until mixed thoroughly. Drop from a spoon onto non greased baking sheets. I pushed down with a fork to ensure the crispy texture. Bake at 375 F for 8 minutes until set and lightly brown. These are very similar to the chewy chocolate chip cookies for me as I take them out when they just start to brown as I don’t want them to dry out and become crumby. Cool slightly and set on cooling rack. ENJOY!

Hi Barbara! Love that quote about God's will! So very true!! 30 minutes is a bit of a drive, but definitely do-able!! We visit the Pine Mountain area and the southern coast of Georgia often, and just love it. I am a very happy sunshine gal, though, and wouldn't leave unless God directed us to!!

Sounds like you're going to have fun! We have had some already, and look forward to relaxing and hanging out for the remainder of the weekend!!

HUGS, gal!
Becky
