CHERISH THOSE MEMORIES

This is so easy to do, such a good craft project for you and your friends.
Type up this poem that is on the photo above, cut the whole in the bottom to show your photo of your child, then give them some finger paints, and let them put their hand prints on each side of the photo, as seen in the picture above, this is my grandson, and I have one of my granddaughter in pink. It is a picture worth a thousand words for sure, and it hangs proudly on my study wall.
Buy a cheap frame, and paint it in the pink or blue, give your parents this as a gift or just to have for your self when your child grows up. it is fun, it is inexpensive, and it a precious gift.

The Poem that is written, in case you cannot read it well enough in the photo;

You always clean the finger prints;
I leave upon the wall.
I seem to make a mess of things;
because I am so small.
The years will pass so quickly
I'll soon be grown like you;
and all my little fingerprints,
will surely fade from view.
So heres a special handprint
and picture of me too;
So you'll recall the very day,
I made it just for you.

My Take On the 23rd Psalm

The Lord is my Shepherd
THAT'S RELATIONSHIP!
I shall not want
THAT'S SUPPLY!
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures
THAT'S REST!
He leadeth me beside still waters
THAT'S REFRESHMENT!
He restoreth my soul
THAT'S HEALING!
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness
THAT'S GUIDANCE!
For His name sake
THAT'S PURPOSE!
Yea, though I walk through
the valley of the shadow of death
THAT'S TESTING!
I will fear no evil
THAT'S PROTECTION!
For thou art with me
THAT'S FAITHFULNESS!
Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me
THAT'S DISCIPLINE!
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies
THAT'S HOPE!
Thou anointest my head with oil
THAT'S CONSECRATION!
My cup runneth over
THAT'S ABUNDANCE!
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life
THAT'S BLESSING!
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
THAT'S SECURITY!
Forever
THAT'S ETERNITY!

Getting A Little Crafty

You know some times you just cannot find what you are looking for at any of the stores, it was that way for me, I was looking for some little lamp shades with roosters on them, I looked from Michigan to New York, to Tennessee, and found not one. So I decided to make my own decorations on plain ones. Now that was a challenge too, I could not find any little Roosters small enough to put on the mini shades, Finally after months of searching, I found these, and added a little ribbon aound them, to match, and got the effect I was looking for. My Country Cozy Kitchen. Really easy and simple to dress up any lamp shade you may want in your decor. Here the photos of them. My kitchen is done in Roosters and Hens, and I added a little strip on the end of one of my cupboards to match. Photobucket Photobucket

This all reminds me of how God does with us, he takes nothing and makes something he can be proud of, I seem to find everything I do or say has God in it some way, hope you enjoyed my crafts for today.

Hope the Problem Will get Fixed

I have been trying to post, with no avail, I am not sure what is going on, I thought this stuff only went on in the regular sites, I am mistaken, I have a craft project I wanted to share but have not been able too, hope things get back to normal soon..

(Encouragement for Tuesday)
“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” John 13: 34, 35 We are seeing more daily love dissipating, and the neighboring kindness that was around in my young days is almost non existent. Why is that? When our Lord Jesus Christ told us to love one another, and that by this the world will know we belong to Christ. So if we are not loving those we can reach, we are being disobedient to our Father, and we wonder why it is so hard to get others to come to church. Let it begin with me, lets examine our self and see what God shows us about how we love those around us. Oh lord let us be the loving vessels to reach this lost world, and let us be obedient to your will in our life. Jesus wrote these things for a reason, he knew what it would take for the world to see him, Let the world see the joy Christ gives us, let us be a light in a dark world to someone who needs a kind word, or maybe just a smile. Remember Jesus said, if you love me Keep my Commandments...

ONLY FLAG THAT DOESN'T FLY
Between the fields where the flag is planted, there are 9+ miles of flower fields that go all the way to the ocean.
The flowers are grown by seed companies.
It's a beautiful place, close to Vandenberg AFB.
Check out the dimensions of the flag.
The Floral Flag is 740 feet long and 390 feet wide and maintains the proper Flag dimensions,
as described in Executive Order #10834.
This Flag is 6.65 acres and is the first Floral Flag to be planted with 5 pointed Stars,
comprised of White Larkspur. Each Star is 24 feet in diameter; each Stripe is 30 feet wide.
This Flag is estimated to contain more than 400,000 Larkspur plants, with 4-5 flower stems each, for a total of more than 2 million flowers.

A Wonderful Old Hymn, With a great meaning, that scripture backs up, some songs today are so unscriptural, but most the old time gospel hymns are very scriptural.
Hiding in Thee O safe to the Rock that is higher than I, My soul in its conflicts and sorrows would fly; So sinful, so weary, Thine, Thine, would I be; Thou blest “Rock of Ages,” I’m hiding in Thee.
Hiding in Thee, hiding in Thee, Thou blest “Rock of Ages,” I’m hiding in Thee.
In the calm of the noontide, in sorrow’s lone hour, In times when temptation casts o’er me its power; In the tempests of life, on its wide, heaving sea, Thou blest “Rock of Ages,” I’m hiding in Thee.
Hiding in Thee, hiding in Thee,
Thou blest “Rock of Ages,”
I’m hiding in Thee.
How oft in the conflict, when pressed by the foe, I have fled to my refuge and breathed out my woe; How often, when trials like sea billows roll, Have I hidden in Thee, O Thou Rock of my soul.
Hiding in Thee, hiding in Thee, Thou blest “Rock of Ages,” I’m hiding in Thee.
BIBLE REFERENCE:
The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.
Psalms 9:9
In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge. . Proverbs 14:26
Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.
Psalms 32:7

Keeping Cool In The Summer

Goldie is our Golden Retriever, and this is how she keeps cool all summer, you will see her out back, and then all of a sudden she runs and jumps in the pond, she love the refreshing cool water.
We may eat watermelon, or swim in the pool, but Goldie loves her pond, we call it Goldies Pond, it is up a little hill from us, and this is the high light of her day, then she comes back almost looks like she is smiling, and lays down by where ever we are lol . The simple pleasures of life, it is lazy days in the South, time for laid back fun, and you see this girl has the right idea for summer.
