Thankful Thursday is here again, and it is your time to share with with, all the things God has did in your life, and what you are thankful for.

I am thankful God save me over 36 years ago, I will forever be thankful for that, it is always first on my list. I am so thankful for a husband that loves me, and take care of me so well, he wears so many hats, what a talented and wonderful man God choose for me.

"Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God." (2 Corinthians 9:11)

The themes of praise and thanksgiving are very prominent throughout Scripture. The word "praise" and its derivatives occur over 330 times, and "thanks," with its derivatives, over 150 times. When applied to our relation to God, "thanks" are given to Him for what He has done for us, and "praise" for who He is and what He has done for the whole creation. If frequency of occurrence were an indicator, we might conclude that thanksgiving is important and praise-giving is twice as important!

Now it is your turn, what are thankful for?
Abiding in His great love, Barbara

I'm thankful for a wise and loving Father, Who opens doors and answers prayers in ways we could never have imagined!

I love your thankful list, Barb. As you know, I posted mine on my blog but to add to the list I'm so thankful for the warm, sunny weather we are having today. I'm also thankful that the Lord loved me enough to send His son to die for my sins.

You made me laugh Barbara! When I said warm, sunny weather, I meant it was sunny and almost 40 degrees. Obviously, we live in different areas of the country! :-) It was 20 degrees last night...brrrrrr!

I'm a day late but filled with "Thanks!!" Salvation, first and foremost, His love that provided that salvation, His church where we met the friends we spend Thursday evenings with in fun, food and fellowship. What began as a small ministry for a widower continues to bless. A great reason to give "Thanks!!"
