CAN WE HAVE A DRUM ROLL PLEASE

VERY FIRST EGG, I AM SO HAPPY
Those who have been following my  blog know we got chicken about a month ago, we bought ones that were almost old enough to lay, well today was the day, so I can imagine every day now there will be at least one egg in our nest. I love my chickens and the it was a tough beginning, but they are thriving and doing well. Hopefully I will not have to buy eggs ever again.

Being it is so late, I will post my Sunday post too, I am just so thankful I have a wonderful church to go and worship the lord tomorrow. So many have fallen by the way side, or have replaced the KJV with other perversions. OOPS should say versions, to be politically correct, yeah right, it is what it is, a really bad imitation of God's Holy word.  I feel bad for these ones that are rewriting the word God give with such replacements.  Because In Revelations God told what would happen if any one changed his word.
Revelation 22:18 "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:"
Revelation 22:19 "And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."
Lord help us to be true to you, to look to you for all our answers, and to be obedient to you and your holy word. Lord I ask that you bless each one who reads this blog, and give them a peace of understanding and obeying you. Happiness is definitely knowing the Savior, and being his obedient child.
Now have a wonderful Lord's day, and let us say I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the house of the lord.
In His Loving Care, Barbara

It's so exciting about the first egg!! I want to have chickens of our own someday too!

..I hope this doesn't come across wrong, especially since I am new here at your blog, but I disagree about the KJV only for the bible. I respect that you're able to choose that for yourself, but the KJV is an english translation and is not the original language of God's word. The KJV is a translation just like the other english translations. These different translations are not meant to add to or take from God's word, but to present it in an understandable way to different languages and people groups. (I'm not talking about paraphrases, those are a different story.) When the KJV was made it was written in a relevant and understandable english form for readers to understand. The newer translations are simply updated to reflect modern changes in language, so that people like me can understand them. I don't at all mean to be argumentative, but to just point out that the KJV is also a translation of the original. I hope I'm still welcome here and I really appreciate you stopping by my blog too! :)

That is exciting about your first egg, and may there be many more.

I would like to quietly say that I see the KJV as being a translation into the English also. I prefer he New Geneva NKJV Study Bible, and also check the NIV and Holman Christian Standard when I am doing my study homework. Most of the churches in this area use the NIV. My opinion is that it is preferable to be reading the Bible, particularly the one used by the person's congregation, than not reading the Bible at all.

Have a very pleasant week, and look forward to exchanging comments as we post. God Bless.

Glad you got your 1st egg. i gave not gotten my chicken pen, yet! guess I will have to hop over and grab some of yours. Have a good Sabbath Day. Oh yes, the good old 1611 KJV is all I have ever used. Would use no other.

Well, Dear Sister, I see the chickens heard and understood what you said the other days, when you said if you didn't get eggs soon, you would make soup. Happy for both you and the chickens.

And what a grand egg it is! :) Did you bake with it? Scramble it? Boil it? poach it? Fry it? make an omelete...gosh...there is so much you can do with an egg I will spare listing more. This was an egg-cellent post. (sorry-to much coffee for me today) I am looking forward to hearing more about your dear chickens.
