Simple Joys Saturday

Just living the Simple Life, in the Country and deep woods of Georgia, I am following after Jan at
A Tapestry of Life, I love her blog, and you will too, always such interesting photos of life, the simple life she displays. So on this Simple Joys Saturday I am going to share with you some of my photos, of the simple life.
I find the simple things in life are best, I get more enjoyment from watching the sun set, than if I were at a fancy expensive museum. I love to watch the tide roll in, and see the big ships way out far. To me having a laid back simple life glorifies our lord, I do not think he intended us to be so hyper and uptight. I feel it causes many of our health problems. If we just trust in him, and just take one day at a time, we can see such glory in his creations. So like the old Clique "Stop and Smell the roses".

I truly have learned to do this, after many hurried moments, frustrations, falls and accidents, I have learned to slow down, to look around me, and to enjoy the simple things in life. To take one day at a time, and really enjoy it as I live it. Here some of my photos of living the simple and good life.

Here are the Sea Gulls off St Simon Island, just laid back sunning themself, we could learn much from the wild life around us. Oh yes this is my way of living simply and loving every minute of it. Be blessed and live simply, looking to God for your needs, and thanking him when he meets them.

Lots of Hugs and Blessings, Barbara

Barbara, I agree that the simple life is the best way to live. Living in Southern California is anything but simple! Things are pretty fast paced and hectic around here most of the time. You are truly blessed.

I want thank you for your recent comment on my blog. Your comments are always welcome. I added myself to follow you. If you are not already following my blog, the next time you visit you are more than welcome to become a follower if you want to.

Thanks again and God bless you

Ron

Agreed. We were in town one night last week. The big town -- Fort Worth. Last night we were in a much smaller town -- Springtown. In one the eight-lane Interstate whipped us through to the graduation, tightly packed with other people we could not see. Last night, though the traffic was lighter, still the eye contact wasn't there. On our country lanes, six miles from any thing but farms and acreages, eye contact with one's neighbors is a given. It is good! Aren't we blessed to enjoy it?

I love Simple Life. We complicate things in our daily lives so much.
Like having to have a spotless house
and the day is gone before you know it. I guess when you get older you see the need of more time just like you say, to stop and smell the roses.
Loved this post.

Thank you all for the wonderful comments you made, I love talking to you all, some new some not so new, but all friends that gather and talk about things we all can relate to. yes CA is a very fast paced place, I would go stir crazy for sure there. We are truly blessed and the older I get the more and more I see this. I know what you are talking about in the big cities, we are from a very little country town, we go to Jacksonville, FL quite a bit, and wow we cannot wait til we hit that Ga border, and it seems all things change then, and as we get off on the lesser highway, everyone makes eye contact, looking to see if it is some one we know, and my dh always waves, no matter who it is, yes in the bigger cities you do miss this.
Have a great day all and love each of your blogs too, spend way too much time reading them too, but hey, I am a retired woman, and pretty well has a lot of time on my hands, so I do what I love to, I just finished watering outside, and now going to really relax, lots of hugs, and oh yeah the two little boys on the Fire Truck are my Great Gran Sons they live in St Marys, GA

Your pictures sum it up: the sea and sky, the children in our lives and freshly baked bread! What more could we want?

Yes, Barbara, the Simple Life is such a blessing, we just have to open our eyes and heart, and I agree that life in the country gives us so many more opportunities to appreciate God's beauty in nature.
Great pics.
Sorry I didn't see your post earlier, it has slipped in with last week's Simple Joys...I kept looking to see the posts this week, and didn't see yours until I checked my Dashboard.
Thanks so much, I am grateful for your support of this new meme.

I love the simple life too! We are amazed at that rattlesnake in your last posts. That just scares me to death. I was trying to see what part of Ga. you are in to see if you are close to us.

It is all too easy to get caught up i n the business of life. We need reminders to slow down and enjoy the simple things around us. Thank you. :)

I also love living a simplistic life. Having people wave as you drive by and knowing your name at the store's and bank. It means a lot and I have more time to think upon the lord.

Barbara, you are so right about stopping and smelling the roses... going to God with your needs..as you know I have some stress induced health issues, I haven't let myself smell the roses enough lately, and I keep too much problems to myself instead of giving them to God. Thanks for sharing, and lovely pictures!!! Love from Susi
