Fabulous Faithful Friday

Well another week has come and is almost gone, this week has been a really great one for us, the Revival has stirred my soul and enlightened me to many faults I have, praise God I am never too old to learn, or to change and try to better myself for God's Glory, it has been good, and I kinda hate to see it end. But what we have in our heart will never end. I just love the book of Romans,  we call Romans 8 the Roses of Romans, and oh such wonderful sweet fragrance comes from these verses too. It is one of the most helpful chapters in the word of God. This verse has helped me so very much in my every day life.

Romans 8:13 "For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live."

If I were too look at my life from a human standpoint, it would be very discouraging, but the grace of God is most definitely sufficient, I have proven him over and over again, I am not able to do all the things I once did, and I am so slow a snail could beat me in a race. But I honestly try to live in the faith and not under the circumstances, look at so many, they let pain get them down to where the cannot even look up, go into deep depression, that is very easy to do too by the way, but if we look to Christ he will keep us in perfect peace, as we go through our daily living, we need to keep our eyes on Jesus, keep our faith in him, keep our trust in him, he will keep us, he has promised us this in his word.

The scripture says that “Without weakening in his faith, he (Abraham) faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.” I am here to tell you God always does what he promises, you can find these little promises all through the bible, seek them out, claim them, and usually there is a condition for these promises, but it is nothing we are not capable of doing, lets all surrender our will to his will, and what a witness we can be to our Lord and Saviour as we give praise and glory to God, even through our pain, even through our own weaknesses, then he can make us strong, in our physical bodies, and in our minds and in our spiritual faith.

God bless you, and look to Jesus, he is the great Physician, he is the saver of the soul, he is my all and all.

I do love this song: Makes my heart soar.

LIVING BY FAITH
I care not today what the morrow may bring,

If shadow or sunshine or rain,
The Lord I know ruleth o’er everything,
And all of my worries are vain.

Refrain:
Living by faith in Jesus above,
Trusting, confiding in His great love;
From all harm safe in His sheltering arm,
I’m living by faith and feel no alarm.

Though tempests may blow and the storm clouds arise,
Obscuring the brightness of life,
I’m never alarmed at the overcast skies—
The Master looks on at the strife.

I know that He safely will carry me through,
No matter what evils betide;
Why should I then care though the tempest may blow,
If Jesus walks close to my side.

Our Lord will return for His loved ones some day,
Our troubles will then all be o’er;
The Master so gently will lead us away,
Beyond that blest heavenly shore.

God's promises are always 'yes and amen'!
Aren't ya glad that He is ever faithful even when we aren't. I truly enjoyed your 'transparent' post today Barbara. It really spoke to my heart.

Isn't it good that we can always be in a spirit of revival- holding fast to that first love!
I love Romans 8, too.

I, too, love Romans 8, and I love the Lord's faithfulness and His grace, loving me with an everlasting love. The older I get, I so desire more of Him and less of me, andI know and trust I can always stand on His promises.

Thank you for your inspiring words.
Blessings,
Laurie

Barbara,
The Lord knew I NEEDED to read your blog today :o) I forget that God's is promises and love are eternal and my life here on earth is but a minut moment, it is easy to get caught up in the minut moments and let Him, slide from our top priorities. In reading about your Revival meetings, the Lord convicted me of not keeping Him first and foremost in my life. Praising God for directing me to your blog!
Blessings,
Kelle

Hello Barbara~thank you for visiting! Your have a lovely blog here~I have been reading most of your posts. Paul's letter to the Romans is so powerful. Even Paul knew the only perfect one was God~we need God's grace and mercy so much in our lives. I wonder sometimes how God feel when He hears all the confessions of people in this world committing such horrific atrocities to one another. I would have a headache and get so angry but He gives all of us His grace~undeserved favor through His Son Jesus. I was so blessed by your post~Have a wonderful weekend! Rose

I have not heard this song in years. I remember how the chorus moved along and had the parts in it.
Now it is running through my head.
