Wednesday Amazing Story

A Fishy Story

This was such an amazing story I wanted to share it with my blogging friends.

A guy who lives at Lake Conroe (50 miles north of Houston) saw a ball bouncing around
kind of strange in the lake and went to investigate.
It turned out to be a flathead catfish that had apparently tried to
swallow a basketball which became stuck in its mouth!!

The fish was totally exhausted from trying to dive, but unable to,
because the ball would always bring him back up to the surface.
The guy tried numerous times to get the ball out, but was unsuccessful.
He finally had his wife cut the ball in order to deflate it and release the hungry catfish.
You probably wouldn't have believed this, if you hadn't seen the following pictures:

My busy productive week, after putting up the corn, I did all these tomatoes, and I still have
a 5 gallon bucket to put up and freeze, these are such wonderful tomatoes we had tomato sandwiches for lunch, then I made Tomatoes and rice for supper, yumyum oh so good.

This Gorgeorus flower in bloom, it is a rare one, any one know what it is called,
my friend give it to me about 20 years ago, and it blooms every year around this time.
Have a very blessed Wednesday and wonderful evening too, Lots of hugs ♥

You have really been busy, haven't you? Our tomatoes are just coming in. Your plant looks like an amaryllis. At least the leaves. Does it make little plants to
re-pot? Would be interesting to know. I had a pink one and a peppermint one. Still do.

I love Mater sandwhiches or most people call tomatoe sandwhiches. I just love rice and tomatoes too. We are true southern kindred spirits

I had a look to see if anyone else identified the flower. It is known as a Clivea in Australia.
Amazing story about the fish, and incredible all the veges you have processed.

Poor fish! Your tomatoes look great. I'm just getting little blossoms on my plants so it's going to be a while before I get any.

Oh how funny. I wonder how many times God views us as if we're swimming around with something harmful or negative 'stuck in our mouths'? hee hee
That's a lot of tomatoes! Our plants are just beginning to bloom here. We're looking forward to a good crop this year.
Blessings my friend!

I looked up the Clivia and mine are the apricot color, I am so happy I finally know what they are, my friend give them to me, told me the name 20 years ago, and she has since died, I knew they were an expensive plant, and that was about it, so thank you Jan for giving me that clue to what they are, thank you all my dear friends for all your sweet comments, love you lots, and hugs to all, Barbara

Beautiful tomatoes, Barbara. We haven't found any good summer tomatoes around here yet. Can't wait 'til we can get some!

Funny 'fish' story.... I've heard of fish stories --but none quite like this one... ha
