Wonderful Words 4 Wednesday

Top of the day to you, and it is a Wonderful Wednesday indeed, the sun is shining and it will reach 92° here in Sunny Georgia today, our tomato plants are growing wild, and the squash too, wow we will be getting some fresh off the vine soon. Will be going to Waycross to pick some tomatoes in about another week, going to get them and blanche and freeze enough so I have them all year, I can make diced tomatoes and then make home made spaghetti sauce too, oh I love the thought.
It is so good, and we do eat quite a bit of things with tomatoes in them. At least once a week, so I figured two cans of diced tomatoes are about 1.50 for them, multiply that by 52 weeks, and that is 78 dollars I will be saving, Upick tomatoes are 6 dollars a 5 gallon bucket, oh yeah...

So that is the plan.

Well tonight we will go to our own church, and honestly I will miss the excitement of the other Revival, but right is right, and we do belong in our place of worship.

But tomorrow night we will be back at that Revival and getting our long over due cup and saucer filled and running over, oh gives me glory bumps thinking of it. The mesages are really needed, and ones I have not heard in so long. So have a great time in your place of Worship, and lets all thank God that we still can go with out any hassel, and worship the lord freely and openly, Praise God, I do not know how long that will be possible, but for now we can, God bless you all real good, and get your cup filled tonight.

Jeremiah 22:1-3 "Thus saith the LORD; Go down to the house of the king of Judah, and speak there this word, And say, Hear the word of the LORD, O king of Judah, that sittest upon the throne of David, thou, and thy servants, and thy people that enter in by these gates: Thus saith the LORD; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place."

These verses about Jeremiah got me thinking about a couple of things. The first was that in the time that Jeremiah was confined in the courtyard, God had things for him to do – He hadn’t forgotten about Jeremiah, or didn’t see him as unable to do anything worthwhile. God reminded Jeremiah again that He was the God who formed the world and that He was there with Him. It was part of God’s plan for Jeremiah that he be there, confined in the courtyard, so he would be there when God needed him.
The second thing that occurred to me, was that God says to Jeremiah that He is there and will answer when Jeremiah calls to Him – but not only that, God will teach him things that he does not know. It sounds like things that Jeremiah could not necessarily find out on his own, unless they were revealed to him by God.
God still has uses for us, ways that we can make a difference in the life of someone else. Let us use our God given talents for him, for his glory and for his honor, he saved us to tell others, to help others, and to be a witness for him all over the world.
Speak up and be heard, he will give you the words to say. I’m encouraged that if I look to God, He will continue to teach me and help me learn from it.

Good morning Barbara!.......I love reading your blog - it blesses me and takes me back to my Georgia roots, my new friend!

I haven't read that scripture in Jeremiah in awhile, but love meditating upon Jeremiah's court yard season.....I'll be "chewing" on this scripture today - I sense the Lord impressing it upon my heart!

Blessings and thank you for sharing this!!

Sweet Blessings!
Jackie

I look forward to your posts.... it is a long time since I have heard of a revival meeting around here, though our church, and no doubt the others in our town, earnestly pray for our community.
Wonderful to hear how your garden is coming on.
Hugs and Blessings - Jan

I loved reading about your garden, as ours is late getting planted here due to cool weather and rain. I also enjoyed your comments with the Jeremiah verses. I have not pondred on these for some time and I love it when God gives me His word through another when I am not searching there...He has something for me. I am in a season where I cannot participate regularly in a ministry in our church body, but He has given me the ministry of caring for and being with our grandchildren, and I love sharing with them about Jesus.

I pray for a time of blessing and renewal with you at the Revival! what a wonderful gift He has given you!
Blessings!
Laurie

Barbara:
Thanks for visiting the blog today. I'm always glad to meet new sisters and brothers in Christ.

Yes, God does have a lot for us to do, regardless of our station in life. Whether on the stage or behind the scenes, kingdom work is at hand. How I pray to always be found willing and obedient to go where God leads.
