♥ THANKFUL THURSDAY ♥

Well I know many many things I am thankful for, I could write for hours just on how God has blessed my life, and what I am so thankful for, I want to take a quiet minute, and thank him for loving me, the unlovable sinner that I am, yet he loved me so very much he laid down his life that I may be passed from death unto life, my flesh dies daily, but my Spirit lives on, and will live on in heaven on day with my precious Saviour.  I have a song on my heart too, so while we are in a attitude of thanksgiving, and perhaps prayer, lets sing this song.

Thank You Lord

Some thank the Lord for friends and home

For mercies sure and sweet
But I would praise Him for his grace
In prayer I would repeat

Chorus:
Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul
Thank you, Lord, for making me whole
Thank you, Lord, for giving to me
Thy great salvation so rich and free

Some thank Him for the flow’rs that grow
Some for the stars that shine
My heart is filled with joy and praise
Because I know He’s mine

Chorus:

Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul
Thank you, Lord, for making me whole
Thank you, Lord, for giving to me
Thy great salvation so rich and free

I trust in Him from day to day
I prove His saving grace
I’ll sing this song of praise to Him
Until I see His face

Chorus:

Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul
Thank you, Lord, for making me whole
Thank you, Lord, for giving to me
Thy great salvation so rich and free

When I first was saved I taught kindergarten children, I used to call for a quiet time, and we would bow our heads and sing this chorus thanking the lord, their little hands would be folded, and heads bowed, it was so very precious, then I would give an invitation for them to ask Jesus to come into their heart, it reminded me of picking flowers in the Spring, tender new buds on them, just asking to be picked. It is a wonderful thing to be saved when you are a child, it kept so many from getting out into the worldly things, I was 30 when I got saved, and been into the world, I so wish I had been younger, it would of saved me from so much heart break, so if you have little ones, their hearts are so tender toward Christ and the things of the bible, talk to them, make sure they understand that Jesus died for them, and wants them to be saved, and live eternally in heaven with him, we are to teach our young, and raise them in the admonition of the lord, leading them to a saving knowledge of Jesus is the perfect way, it will save you and them from much heartbreak down the road. God bless each of you today, and I have prayed for you, and all that may stop by for a visit, that if you do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour, today would be the day, you let him touch your life, and ask him into your heart.. Praise God he is just a prayer away..

That is truly something to be thankful for! 48 years ago at the age of 9 Jesus came into my heart. Later at the age of 26 I rededicated my life to him. What a wonderful blessing to know each day and each step he is here with me all the way.

In this post and, I believe, the previous post you have written the words to hymns that I have always loved.

Thanks for sharing such a grateful heart. I was saved at age 23, but not before the world had gotten a hold of me. Thanks be to God who called me out of the darkness into His marvelous light.

What a joy to sing along with you today, Barbara! I pray that those the Lord are leading to pray to ask Him into their hearts will not waiver.

I love this idea Barbara of "Thankful Thursday." I may have to borrow it and do a Thursday article. I teach a class in Ukraine "365 Days of Gratefulness" where ladies scrapbook their gratitude for a year.
