Wednesday Wonderful Words

I love Wednesdays, it is the middle of the week, and the day we go to church to get our heart lift for the rest of the week, we gather and pray for all our needs, it is a good time of fellowship and just a good day, even the name sounds happy, puts a song in my heart, and pep in my step, how about you?  Do you feel happy today?
Is it the bright spot in your week. I think of the Prophet Jeremiah what he said in Chapter 3 and verse 2 and 3;

"2. Thus saith the LORD the maker thereof, the LORD that formed it, to establish it; the LORD is his name;

3. Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."

Wow, all we have to do is call upon the lord and he will show us all kinds of things that we cannot even imagine, have you prayed for something that only you and God knew about? Then he answered your prayer and magnified what you ask for. Amen, yep that is my God, he gives and gives and never stops giving, from the time of creation throughout eternity he gives, God is such an awesome God, the only one, it sure blesses my heart to be able to call him Father.
In such a vast universe of billions of stars, think of the power of God who made them and knows each of their names. Think of all he knows that we don't. Think of all he has seen that we have not seen, think of all that he has written and is not in our history books. Think of all he has done and can do. Add to this that he asks us to talk to him about the things of our heart and our needs, then you understand the great space of his grace and our very limited knowledge of our minds.
He created us for fellowship with him, we are not forced to love him, we are not forced to talk to him, it is our honor to come before a holy God and tell him the things that are on our heart, whew, Well glory getting me lifted high in the Spirit already this morning. Yes just like Jeremiah penned through the power of the Holy Spirit, he will answer thee, and shew they great and mighty things which thou knowest not.

I leave you today with these thoughts, found in Matthew, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:"

This song keeps going through my head too, when I seen that photo of the morning sun peeping through the clouds.

(I come to the Garden Alone)

I come to the garden alone

While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses.

Refrain

And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.

He speaks, and the sound of His voice,
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing,
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing.

Refrain

I’d stay in the garden with Him
Though the night around me be falling,
But He bids me go; through the voice of woe
His voice to me is calling.

Refrain

Have a wonderfully blessed Wednesday.

That was my uncle's favorite song; it was played at his funeral when I was only three, but that is a vivid memory I have that always makes me happy when that song is led!

Happy Wednesday!

"In the Garden" was my mother's favorite hymn... I love it too...

Wednesdays is a busy day for us --since it is our 'shopping' day... We get a Sr. Discount at Kroger's on Wed. --so we always take advantage of that...

Other than being busy, Wednesdays are usually a very good day!!!!

Hugs,
Betsy
P.S. Thanks for the tip on the pizza place in Young Harris!!!

Blessings to you today. What a wonderful post-yes, that's our God-ready and waiting for us to join Him. How blessed you are to have church in the middle of the week; our church is too small so they meet on Friday nights occasionally.
Have a splendid time with our Savior tonight.
Hugs, Noreen

What a lovely post.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Oh, my, you're having triple digit temps. plus humidity too, I'm sure. I'll take my 60 degrees, although it's in the 70s now. August is an interesting month in Northern Montana. We can have some heat, but we can have some cool days that whisper to us that fall is coming.
I had better follow your blog. My daughter is the head cook at a Bible college. It's always fun to find new recipes for her. They will get their new students at the end of the month and she and two assistants will be cooking for about 80, counting staff members.
Blessings from.........Denise
