Another Friday that we can be faithful

Well on this cool Friday morning I have a nice warm fire for you, warm my bones and sit a while I found this verse to think about, while we are sitting enjoying the fire. It goes really well with it. ☺

1 Cor 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.

14 If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Sometimes I think we are all guilty of serving the lord in our own strength, instead of in his spirit. That would be called Wood, Hay, and Stubble. This will all be burned, only the things we do for Christ out of a loving and dedicated spirit will be saved.
May we all be very careful how we work for the lord, is it for us, or is it for him, just think on these things, God will reveal what he wants from you and show you all truth.
May HE give us daily the ability to serve HIM with all of our hearts and love HIM above all else.
Have a blessed weekend, stay warm, and keep your eyes on Jesus.

Lots of love and Prayer

so lovely is the fire. I am a tad envious since we don't have a fireplace OR a fire. I love to sit and watch flames. hubby says i am a firebug and I think I am. i came straight to your fire photo and LOVE it.

My daughter lost a home to fire. Through that we've come to understand that fire can take material things and the true gratitude is that the family was safe. It's the same with our Christian foundation and what we build on it -- important things will remain. It is up to us to determine what is important to God and build with that. Perfect scripture for the thoughts of fire. May yours provide you warmth, comfort and lovely flickers to enjoy.

Amen ladies, thanks for the comments, yes I have lost everything material and a Persian Cat to the fire of 1990, devastating, but it sure showed us how fast things of this world can be distroyed, and where our treasures ought to be, in heaven. Amen..

Nice fire! We had to take our gas insert out when the carbon monoxide detector started going off. Bad venting I guess. Loved reading the scripture and words of wisdom. Thanks for sharing.

my daughter just suggested to pray b/c I told her everything's going wrong. It's so much smoother when He's on abroad.

Wow really good words to live by. I try to keep God's spirit up front in all I do but sometimes we as humans fail miserably. Thanks for the gentle reminder.
God Bless,
