Happy Thanks Giving

Some had services last evening, we will have services tonight, any one else having services tonight? How important is thanksgiving to God? I see so many verses that he states about thanksgiving, so I say it is very important to him, how can we not care about the things God put in his word?

Well I am so thankful for his word, and to grow in his grace and in his wisdom, what an honor to see God himself state so many times about thanksgiving. Here are the verses he has in the holy bible, it is quite a lot.  I pray your have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends.

Le 7:15 And the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving shall be eaten the same day that it is offered; he shall not leave any of it until the morning.

Le 22:29 And when ye will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving unto the LORD, offer it at your own will.

Ne 11:17 And Mattaniah the son of Micha, the son of Zabdi, the son of Asaph, was the principal to begin the thanksgiving in prayer: and Bakbukiah the second among his brethren, and Abda the son of Shammua, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun.

Ne 12:8 Moreover the Levites: Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, and Mattaniah, which was over the thanksgiving, he and his brethren.

Ne 12:46 For in the days of David and Asaph of old there were chief of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving unto God.

Ps 26:7 That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.

Ps 50:14 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:

Ps 69:30 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.

Ps 95:2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.

Ps 100:4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

Ps 107:22 And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.

Ps 116:17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.

Ps 147:7 Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:

Isa 51:3 For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.

Jer 30:19 And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.

Amos 4:5 And offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving with leaven, and proclaim and publish the free offerings: for this liketh you, O ye children of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.

Jonah 2:9 But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD.

2Co 4:15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.

2Co 9:11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.

Php 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Col 2:7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

Col 4:2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;

1Ti 4:4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

Re 7:12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

We had our Thankgiving service on Sunday. We had a unified service w/ potluck following, a group from West Coast Baptist College was with us blessing us w/great music while Bro. Weaver (the men's dean of the college) preached a great message on "Getting out of the boat," referring to Peter when he got out of the boat and walked on water. It was a blessed day. We had our mid-week on Tue.
Praying you have a Great Thanksgiving!!!

We had our Thanksgiving on Tuesday evening. We met in our fellowship hall, after dad (my pastor) brought a devotional about Thanksgiving, he and my mom served pie and coffee. After all were served, we took turns sharing testimonies of praise while we ate. It was a sweet, intimate time with our *other* family.
