Wonderful Wednesday

It is another beautiful day in my neighborhood, sun shining breezy and warm, going to a high of 91 today.

Tonight is church and spending time with my dear brothers and sisters in christ. It is the high light of my week.

We had many good visits yesterday, none ask Christ to save them, some said they would come to church and some said they were not interested, you know most are pretty receptive in the area we are going into now, and that helps, but I cannot help but wonder are they serious or just plain liars, that is strong but true, they tell us face to face they will come visit the church, then never come, something amiss there.

Any how today is today, yesterday is gone, and tomorrow is not promised, but we have today, let us do all we can for today, and lift the name of Jesus high and shine his light bright. Hope you have a great day, and good service this evening.

Hebrews 10:25 "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."

1John 3:14 "We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death."

Y'all have a very blessed day, and give some one a smile, they may not have one of their own. Lots of hugs too...

It is always disappointing when someone says they'll come to church and then doesn't keep their word. However, I've always found that God blesses our faithfulness and will often have visitors come whom we didn't invite or call on.

Blessings to you! (o:

You just never know what God might do with a seed you have planted. I gave my heart to Christ when I was six years old because a woman came to our house asking if she could speak to my mother about the Lord. My mother was (and still is) antagonistic toward Christianity but I was listening to their conversation while hiding under the stairs. When my mother sent the woman away I slipped out the side door and ran around to the front of our driveway to meet the woman as she walked away. I told her I very much wanted to hear what she had to say about God. I don't remember what she said to me, but I remember her kneeling down to speak with me and giving me some literature to read. I hid it under my pillow until everyone in my house was asleep. I gave my heart to God that night. After that I started going to church with my neighbors and their children (to my parents' credit, they didn't forbid my doing so despite their personal objections to the faith).

You truly never know what will happen when you cast your net upon the waters, dear Barbara.

Beautiful here today too:) I always wonder if people are just being polite when they say they will come and then don't?

So true we only have today! If we could only always keep that at the forefront of our minds and use our time wisley!

Thank you, Barbara, for visiting my blog. I hope you come again. It is a rich blessing to have "heaven" on earth in knowing God and most importantly, in God knowing His own. May He bless you with His truth always.
