Giving Honor To my Daddy

Ex 20:12 "Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee".

We see God repeats this in the new testament too. He makes mention in Matthew and Mark and this one here.

Eph 6:2 Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)

We see it is important for us to honor our fathers, I loved my daddy dearly, and I still miss him, he went to be with Jesus in 1987 and it seems like such a short time ago. If you still have your dad love him, let him know you love him, and add to this post something nice about him. I was adopted so my dad chose me, and always made me feel very special. God truly blessed me with wonderful loving parents, I can never thank them enough for the care, and love and guidance they give to me. I am sharing this collage I made up of him with you for this Father's Day. Daddy I love you, and miss you ♥

Have a very blessed Day, and Happy Father's Day to any Dads that may be reading this too, God bless you and know what an honor it is to be a father. God bless you.

i miss my daddy so as well my friend. it's been almost 17 years and it still chokes me up.

My daddy was so special to me. I was a true daddy's girl. He was the sweetest, kindest and gentlest man and I miss him so very much.

What a beautiful post!
I love my Daddy and know that he would do anything for me. Being the youngest of three girls I am a daddy's girl :) I loved dancing with him to that song at my wedding and I have some precious pictures of it.
I am so glad that my Heavenly Father loves me even more than I could ever imagine.

Oh such sweet words about your daddys love, I was an only child, and a daddys girl too.

That is a very nice tribute to your dad. My dad was not the most loving dad in the world...but he did the best he could. I miss him too.

I grew up most of my life without my father. He was not a real caring type of person. He passed away several years ago, but I had not seen him since I was 15.
I do want to honor the fathers out there as my sons have grown up to be great fathers to their children, praise the Lord.
Hugs

What a loving tibute to your father. My dad is a great dad and I love him. He is loving to his family and would give us anything we need. My husband's dad went to be with the Lord last August. Joey tells me often to spend time with my dad and let him know how much I love him. I am thankful I have a loving dad.

I am so sorry ladies who did not have a loving dad, my husband had a very mean and careless attitude toward his children too, I feel sorry for those who were not loved and appreciated as children, children are a heritage of the lord. God bless you all and have a great week.
