So much to be thankful for, look at this photo, it is the sun, taken Monday afternoon in Folkston, GA amazing, how bright and red it is, the smoke is affecting the sky and how it appears, this sun, reminds me of that scripture about the moon turning to blood, even though it is not the moon it is just what I picture.
We have had an amazing week, thank you for the prayers for Sunday, my dh preached a powerful sermon, and one boy was saved, it truly blessed our heart to be with our friends from the past, if you missed the other post, we were at the church my husband resigned a few years ago, and it was a real blessings.
Then he was able to preach last night at the church we are attending, it was a blessing too, he had an incredible message from God, and it touched so many hearts. Including mine, made me really take notice, and examine my own heart.
We have had a great week, and looking forward to more days of blessings ahead, I love the lord and how he always blesses our faithfulness, yet it is he in me that makes me do all I want to for him, he sure is awesome, and I sure am thankful for the blessing of salvation, and his hand upon my life all these years, my dh will be 70 in August, and he is still going strong for our Saviour, that is a true blessing to me, knowing him before salvation, and then after, I see the complete change Christ did in his heart and in our life.
Thank you lord, I am happy to be called a Christian, and may I always glorify your name and you in all I do.

I fixed this the other day, it is so delicious, here is my recipe.

Georgia Peach Pound Cake

1 cup plus 2 Tbsp. Butter
2 ¼ cups of sugar, divided
4 eggs

1 tsp baking powder

Cream remaining butter; gradually add remaining sugar. Beating well
After each addition. Add vanilla to creamed mixture, beating well, Dredge peaches with remaining ¼ cup flour. Fold peaches into batter, pour batter into pan. Bake at 325 degree for 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Have a blessed week, and be a blessing to some one today, Hugs Barbara

I'm so sorry you're having "fire skies". We've had our share of them, which has been a blessing for people who make extra money fighting fires.
This year has been uncommonly wet for us and we're thankful for no flooding in our area!
Have a blessed weekend......Denise

Glad you had a good week end last week. We are ending up our camp meeting tonight. It has truly been a blessing. Had over 45 different pastors there. Plus missionary natives. the biggest crowd we have ever had. We are going to start a new church building so next year we should have plenty more room. Look on my blog for the web site for you to watch the services live. We tried something new this year. Check it out tonight if you have time at 7:pm Love you, Sis

Thanks for another great recipe! I saved it on my computer so I can try it soon.
I feel the same as you...so glad to be a Christian- seeking to give Him glory in all I do!

We've seen those 'fire skies' before, and breathed through them. I dread the coming summer as the drought worsens, yet feel so sorry for those being flooded. This is an uncommon year, and we've just begun hurricane season.

I like what you said about DH's sermon touching your heart. Too often we forget that the message is for everyone, including the preacher and his family. We are all brothers and sisters in Christ and we need to pray earnestly for our pastors.

Yes amen Grammy, my husband always says God preaches to him first then he can preach to the people.

Oh, that photo of the sun is amazing. I thought it as a moon shot at first. Sorry about all the smoke in the air though.

The peach pound cake looks very good. My husband loves pound cake and peach season is almost here...
