Thankful Thursday

Wow today is June 2nd already, Thursday again, it seems it was just Thursday yesterday, time is flying, I remember as a kid in a Nursery Rhyme book it showed time flying, (Clocks flying in the air) it seems that way at times too.

It has been a very busy week for us, marvellous Monday I relaxed and made potato salad for dinner, we ate early and then went to a great Revival in Blackshear, GA, it was good, we went out for coffee after and did not get home until almost midnight that night, I am glad I had rested for the better part of the day. Then terrific Tuesday we went out on visitation for the church, left about 2 and returned at 5:30 just in time to get refreshed and head to Folkston, GA for another Revival, it was good, 2 saved and some lives changed, it is geared more for the youth though, and it lasted until after 10 pm that night, sooooooo another late night getting home. Oh but it was all well worth it, my cup is full and running over, so I am drinking from my saucer, ever heard that song? I love it, I used to sing it, I am not sure if I still have the tape or not, been a long time sing I did sing it.

Then yesterday wonderful Wednesday I made up some prayer requests, fixed our meal and headed to church for our prayer meeting, it was a good time spent with loving home folks, my dear husband and I sang, "If that isn't Love" we love that song too, it means so much to us, we could hardly hear the music so may of gotten out of sync at times but sang to God for his glory. We came home last night and finished off the brownie with ice cream on top, and went to bed before 11 first time all week. I am tired.

Today, thankful Thursday, well one thing I am thankful for is the energy and strength to do all we have did this week, that is a fact. God has given us the will and renewed our strength as we "Mount up with wings as Eagles, walk and not be weary, to run and not faint. Amen his ways are not our ways, but his ways are proven and best. He saved me in 1974 for anyone who never heard my testimony, and called my husband into the ministry in 1980. Our first ministry was in Miami, FL yep...Husband was called to be the Bus Director at a church there, it was interesting to say the lest, we did learn some Spanish and could communicate some, lol we had a wonderful bus ministry there, seen lots of souls saved. We have been in about all the ministries you can think of, and then God called us to Woodbine, GA to a little Country church there, wow, we had never even heard of this town, but we answered the call and drove back and forth from Jacksonville, FL to Woodbine, GA for over a year, then God burdened our heart to sell our home in FL and move to GA, Whewwwwwwww. That was a real leap of faith too, we sold our home in 3 weeks, and were headed to Woodbine in 4 weeks, no place to go, so we stayed in some rooms at the church, and shsssss don't let this get around, but used the Baptism for our personal shower, giggles, now that was a first, and hope last too. Well to cut this story short, we lived there for a couple of months, until we developed the land we bought, and ordered a home to put on the land, lol then come moving day, it rained all day, and my mattress got wet, so it sat in the kitchen of my new home for 3 days drying, oh what a mess, but God brought us through, and that is another reason to be thankful, in the messes of our life, God brings us through. I am going to stop here, but I could tell story after story of days like that, and how God came on the scene and made all things  right. I have lots to be thankful for, and I know you do too, hope you enjoyed my little jottings today, hope you continue to read and comment on my blog, I have grown to love each of you.
Be blessed and be a blessing, Barbara ♥

Going through trials of faith right now and just waiting to see God's wonderful grace that he has shown us all these years.
