Wednesday Words To Live By

In my devotions this morning I was reading here in Psalm 102 the more I read the more I seemed to be wrapped up in the arms of God, it is a prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed, and pouring out his heart to the lord.

It really touched my heart also, to know he hears my prayer, and he is just waiting for me to come to him.
It seems it is when we are all alone he comes to us, and we can pour out our troubles and cleave unto him, there is nothing too large or too small for us to take unto the lord, he is our help in time of need, and I do pray I always run to him first, insead of last like in times past.
Look at these verses now, and see how the lord will speak to you and what he will console you with and about. Be blessed for he will bless them that love him.

1 Hear my prayer, O LORD, and let my cry come unto thee.
2 Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily.
3 For my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned as an hearth.
4 My heart is smitten, and withered like grass; so that I forget to eat my bread.
5 By reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my skin.
6 I am like a pelican of the wilderness: I am like an owl of the desert.
7 I watch, and am as a sparrow alone upon the house top.
8 Mine enemies reproach me all the day; and they that are mad against me are sworn against me.
9 For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping,
10 Because of thine indignation and thy wrath: for thou hast lifted me up, and cast me down.
11 My days are like a shadow that declineth; and I am withered like grass.

I am ending with these verses, if you care to continue reading there is many more verses to bless your soul.

Thanks for sharing those words of life this morning. I read in Proverbs this morning and also 1 Peter 1:4- about our inheritance in heaven!

Barbara, this a beautiful Psalm. I also wrote something similar in finding our comfort in our Lord and handling our problems to him in faith.

God bless :)

Thank you Barb for sharing your devotions...

I am soo thankful for God hearing us...how often are we surprised that it is answered so speedily as well.

Humbles me often to know that amongst all the people and voices in the world calling out to Him...he hears them ALL!

THANK YOU LORD for looking upon us with such loving kindness.

God bless you Barb,

The Psalms are so full of wonderful encouragement for the weary heart, don't you think Barbara?? I *love* the Psalms and often turn there when I am discouraged or worried, etc...God is so Good to us, isn't HE? What a blessing it is to belong to HIM.

Blessings to you!
Camille
