Why Do We Have VBS

Look at the life of Samuel, and you will understand why salvation at an early age matters. We finished up our VBS last evening, we had some saved, and others
that still need to be dealt with, it has given us a good foot to the bus ministry, and
followup visits.
"And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of
his words fall to the ground". 1 Samuel 3:19

Samuel began his ministry at such a young age and was so
important in bridging the generations between the period of the
Judges and the period of the Kings. During that whole time, God was
with him and empowered his ministry, making his words true and
effective. Let's pray that God does the same with his spokespeople
today. May God use his servants effectively all their lives and not
let any of their words fall to the ground.

We start our 1 Samual Bible Study over 9 weeks on Wednesday. We have some good discussions and have a great group of about 20 women.

Please lift my Second Daughter in prayer. She is going through tests and will be in a neurosurgeon's office our first day of VBS on August 8 -- after checking in and setting up attendance records, of course! First Daughter and I have already had spinal fusions on our C3-C4 to remove ruptured disks and removed arthritic spurs. Now it's her turn. She has her priorities straight -- go to VBS, then to the doctor! Thanks for the prayers.
