Is It Spring Yet?

These are my Lily of the Valley's, they are coming up now, so guess Spring is close here, it has been a long hard winter for Southern Georgia, and still very cool for this time of year, I have not spent much time out side, just not wanting to get sick again.
I love Spring, and there are so many verses that talk about spring in the bible, not always the season, but springing up etc. I think that is why I do love Spring, everything is new, all the trees will start budding new, and the grass and leaves will turn green, just a new beginning for a new year, God is remarkable he made things, we see trees with no leaves, and way well that tree is dead, no it is dormant, waiting for the lords time to spring back up into something beautiful. Just like us as Christians, we were dead and lost in sin, then Christ came in and made new creatures of us. Here is a scripture I want to share about this with you, God bless you and do have a wonderful weekend.
De 8:7  "For the LORD thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills;"
Nu 21:17  "Then Israel sang this song, Spring up, O well; sing ye unto it:"

Thankful Thursday

Well I am so thankful I am finally feeling better, my strength is returning, and my coughing has almost stopped; praise the name of the Lord, my throat is no longer sore either, so I do believe I am getting well, after a long battle with this, 3 weeks and so many tough days, today I am so thankful that I am able to do the things I need to get done here, doing laundry, and picking up around here.

I felt good enough yesterday to make this scrumptous pie
Coconut cream, and I got the recipe from Sandra at Keeping it Simple, it is great girl, and my dh loved it too, this is my favorite, and although it takes quite a bit of work it is well worth it. here is a photo I took before we cut it, then today after some has been eaten, also I made Tommy dodds out of the extra dough I had left over.

you roll out the extra dough, butter it well, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar, bake, they are really tasty, and you never waste your dough. Well have a very thankful Thursday, and I know you have lots to be thankful for, just as I do, and lets all give God the honor and all the glory.

Psalm 44:1  "We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old".

I am joining in with Katie doing here Scripture and Snapshot for Monday. I have many old photos, but we took this one more recently on our backwoods trip, and it is all that remains from an old homestead of old. I do love these old homesteads, we always talk about taking my husbands metal detector and see if we can find some old stashes of gold, LOL but we never have yet.

I love taking snapshots and think this will be a fun thing to do, I love finding scripture to go with them, perhaps you would like to do this too, just go to her link and pick up her code, add it to your page, and join in the fun weekly, on Monday, most of us do not have much going on for Monday any how, so this will be a high light of our day, giggles, hope your Monday is a blessed one, and that you will receive all kind of blessings from on high, praise God for he is worthy. I am a thing of old, and for all purposes an antique, but I am a treasure in the eyes of my lord, he is still polishing the rough edges off me, and one day I will be a gem shining in heaven with Jesus, oh what a wonderful day that would be. You have a blessed day now ya hear...
