What a Hot Summer

Our day trip was up to Uvaldala, Georgia, such a fun time; We picked peaches right from the trees, awesome, sweet, juicy peaches, and got this whole bucket full for only 5 dollars. I paid 15 dollars two years ago for 1/4 bucket. Yeah good price, and I am smiling.

It was really funny, we stopped by the state park there, and showing some signs we see, this is our Georgia beach... I love Florida beaches and they still have my vote. The Georgia beaches have much to be desired, the FL beaches are white sand and oh so inviting. But we live in GA and need to support the area where you live, I come from FL and still has my heart.

Any how we ended up in coffee County at a state park there, we did a round about way in SE part of Georgia. It was a great day, and fun time being with my honey.

Our dear Lord has been so good to us, and give us the opportunity to travel many places in our 54 years together, without him I probably would of never left our little home town, so many I know never have been more than 50 miles from home, but we have been in all but 6 states, and in 5 different Countries, awesome God we serve.

Psalm 46:10 "Be still and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth."
I will certainly exalt my God every where we go, we give out tracts, and tell others of what Jesus has did for us, and that only by his love and grace we continue on. Thank you lord for all the blessings on me and my family.
Now you all have a very blessed week, and stay cool, it is only 96 here today instead of 98, so guess we have a cool down, NOT...

Good morning! I was just telling my hubby on Sun that I was hungry for a good peach! What wonderful prices! Now I am even hungrier for one! haha. Maybe even a peach cobbler? Glad you had a good time. I haven't been quilting long and have taught myself using tutorials. I ALWAYS have wanted to make one and have finally ventured forth. It is VERY fun! You should jump on board. Thank you for your kind words! Enjoy your day!

Hello Mrs. Barbara,

It is so good to read about you and your husband's wonderful trip. When we lived in Texas we planted two peach trees in our yard. Mmmmm! ... ripe, sun warmed peaches with the juice dripping down your arm and off your elbow is MY definition of summer. Oh! how I miss my peach trees.
Although it is too cold to grow peaches on the Montana prairie, we've found several other fruits that will grow such as, apples, cherries, apricots, kefir pears, blueberries and raspberries ... all of which we planted this spring. We also grow melons and strawberries in our garden each summer.
Anyhow, so glad to hear you are having such a fun summer.
