Pray for our Country United States of America. Breaking news from the Supreme Court in favor of same sex marriages. The Word of God is being ignored by our government. The time is near when the Lord Jesus will return, Christians brought by the Blood of Christ, Born Again, look up redemption is nigh.
And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. (Luke 21:28 KJV).
Those whom continually reject the truth of the Word of God, will one day confess that Jesus is the Christ. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. (Romans 14:11 KJV
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:11 KJV)

This was a very sad day for America. Our nation keeps turning further and further away from God, that's heartbreaking for me. Satan is on rampage because he knows his time is just about up. God will have the final victory!

I've returned to blogging after a 3 month break and it appears that you are now on a break. I pray you return refreshed and full of His Word.
I know you are a praying person therefore, I ask you to pray for my friend's Dad. For the sake of his privacy across the Internet, I'll refer to him as Pastor D. For the past 30+ years Pastor D has been a CONSERVATIVE Lutheran pastor. As we fellow Christians are aware, the mainstream Lutheran church, and others, have chosen to become more "progressive" during recent years. Through out his pastoral leadership Pastor D has consistently maintained resistance to the "progression" of the mainstream Lutheran church. Our Lord has graciously protected him and his current congregation of 10+ years from being forced to "progress" or forced out of the Lutheran domination ... until last week.
After publishing in his monthly newsletter that he would not perform or recognize same sex marriage, he has been hit with severe backlash from 30-40 congregation members AND the Lutheran council. It looks as if he may finally be pushed out of the Lutheran denomination. Of course it is distressing to any pastor who finds himself on the verge of being fired from his congregation BUT what he finds most distressing is that his congregants and a host of others will be fed outright lies concerning God's Word. He often felt as if he were a lone soldier standing for TRUTH in his denomination and now so many will no longer be taught TRUTH.
Please keep Pastor D, and all church leaders, in prayer. This SCOTUS ruling will eventually affect ALL Christian denominations - if not by refusing to "progress" as the Lutherans and others, then by the Federal Government itself. We have witnessed the opening of the door that will usher in TRUE persecution of the Christian church in America. We all need to be humbled before the Lord in prayer and pleading for His protection.
