Psalm 100:1    Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
2  Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
3  Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4  Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
5  For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

We just can never get enough of the beauty God has created for us. This sun coming up over Lake Seminole was breath taking, I just stand in awesome wonder of how majestic the things God created are. Yes indeed the Lord is good, and his mercy is everlasting...
We spent a few day at this lake fishing, and just relaxing, so much has happened in our lives in a short time, we needed to be away from the hustle and bustle of this life and relax and spend time with God away from all else, such a great place we had to do that too.
We both are doing well today...No problems but body parts not working well, but with age this comes, but also with age comes wisdom, from God, to see him as he is, and to make sure we worship in Spirit and truth. I do not blog much these days, but every now and then have the urge, that is why I have not deleted my blog, and the other blog when I find a good recipe I like to share with you other blogger's. So keep me in prayer, and know I am well and happy, and loving the lord.

Thankful Thursday

Well another Thursday, and are we still praising the lord!!! Amen I am, an I always will, it is my life, and Jesus is the love of my life. Remember when you were young and had a boy you liked, he was all you talked about, right?. Well Jesus should be the love of your life and he should be all we talk about. I praise his where ever I go and I love him deeply with each year of knowing him.
Jesus and I been one almost 40 years now and he is sweeter today than he was yesterday.

I am thankful for him loving me, saving me, and making me what I am today, I still am not what he wants me to be, but sure closer than I was 40 years ago.

Pray for my dh as he is preaching in Blackshear, GA Sunday, morning and evening services, they have a parson's chambers there so will spend the day, and return the next morning. It will be a long and exhausting day for him, pray God will keep him strong, and that he will preach what the lord gives him clearly, and with much holy ghost power. Thank you ahead of time.

So on this wonderful Fall Thursday may you all be blessed by the hand of God, and live for him, and love him, because he first loved you, and HE is worthy.

God Blessing in spite of the storms...

Where to start, been a week since I updated, and so much has happened since then, I am still praising the lord, and thanking him for keeping his hand upon us. We had water come all the way up to the carport, but none in the house, thank you lord, some did get in my dh little blue car, and started coming in his shed, but no real damage, with water you never know, it has an unstoppable power that rages through where ever it may, some may loose faith, but I know God allows things to happen to us also, just like the lost world, it rains on the just and the unjust, one of my verses I remember now, and took it very serious this past week.  Mt 5:45  That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
Some times we just need to be reminded of this statement, even when we are in the will of God, doing his work we still may go through some things that are not very good, though very profitable to our spiritual being, this has been one of these times. Take a minute and pray for all those who have been so devastated with the flooding, the fires, and the earthquakes, to name a few, seem God is pouring his wrath out on America, how many of us are looking up and listening and then heeding his ways? I for one am, and know many who read this blog do too, we much not take a day for granted, but live like it is our last, doing all we can to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We had a wonderful week so far, the church we been attending had services Tuesday evening, we went and were blessed by the wonderful and special singing, and preaching. Now yesterday being a holiday, I fixed a macaroni salad, hot dogs, and fresh tomatoes from our garden, although the water destroyed much of our garden we did have a few tomatoes left. Then last night went to a local church having services, and was blessed yet again, God word is true and does what it says, fills us with complete joy, and gladness, such simple verses can really touch your heart, and bring in joy ever lasting.

Today, staying inside, too hot to do much outside, still in the high 90's here, and the humidity is way high too, best place for old folks like us is inside. We may venture out later to pick up a few things needed, but not for long, I hope your Thursday is a good as mine, and you can say along with me, Praise God for his goodness and mercy upon me. Have a blessed day, and know Jesus loves you.

I am so very thankful for my salvation, and for the wonderful book our lord gives to help us everyday, in all ways, for any trouble that
may come into our life. I hear folks talking about how bad America is, and it is, but we as Christians have let our Country go to the dogs, we say one woman got prayer taken out of school, no all the Christians stood by and did nothing and they took prayer out of school, then out of government, wonder when they will come for our bibles, and try and brainwash us to get rid of his word, but his word is forever, it will stand and has stood against the Devil and his group for thousands of years. Want change in  your County, God tells us how, plain and simple, If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14

We have the tools, are we willing to use them, now what are you thankful for.

Thankful Thursday

Well praise God only 3 treatments left that is surely something to be thankful for today, and plus all that God has done through this 33 treatments. He has been with us hand and hand all the way, kept a good hand on Chuck and kept him from getting way sick, he has had many problems throughout it all but, it is in the past, and in 5 days it will be a thing of our past, and I so pray it stays that way, that they did get it all, and he no longer has to suffer with this. I sure appreciate all your prayers too.
Have a great day, what are you thankful for today?

I also want to say I am sorry for not posting more here, but lord willing it will get back to normal after Monday. Thank you for being so kind and so patient with me, I love blogging and all your bloggers who have been a constant encouragement to me.

My husband has had 3 treatments and today makes 4 only 30 more to go, he is doing well so far, his throat is sore this morning though. I mixed up 1/2 cup water, 1/4 tsp of baking soda, and 1/8 tsp of salt he gargled and said it did feel better. We go at noon daily, maybe next week will be later. I like it later in the afternoons. Continue to pray for us as we take this new journey, it has become a wonderful Ministry too. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving, my family came and we were so thankful for that, God sure has blessed us. I am sorry I am not posting as much as before, but my life is just too busy with other things, I am not on the computer as much. I still think of you often, and pray for you.

Amen, yes let us shine, shine, shine, I just pray that we will be a blessing to all those around us, God certainly blessed us so far, we prayed with several yesterday, and some just broke down and cried, it is wonderful to be a comfort in times like this. I think it is so needed for us to be useful and be a blessings, it takes our minds off our own problems, which besides some are so very minute. Thank you sweet ladies for all your prayers, and I know you continue, I love each of you dearly. Have a wonderfully blessed day.
The days are passing by, too fast too, all is well here in White Oak, God is so good, and he has poured his blessings out upon us indeed. We look around us and see so much suffering, and pain and it is so great to be able to pray with those less blessed than we are, to encourage them, and some just need to talk about their illness, I sure pray that God will continue to bless those we talk to, and some may accept him as their own personal Saviour. Have a great day, and be a blessing to those around you.Photobucket

Thankful Thursday

To look outside you would never think it was the 17th of November,
it is another no sweater day, very warm, sun shining, just a glorious
day to be a Thankful Thursday, and I sure am thankful for the sun
and the warmth. My winter garden is just fantastic, we had rain in
the night, and everything is growing so good, and so quickly too, it
is green greens, and my strawberry plants are doing wonderful, I love having a garden, do you? It blesses my soul to see how our lord makes things grow, and provides the needs of his people. Yes on this day I certainly am thankful for all the lord does.

Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in everything by
prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests
be made known unto God.
This is one of my favorite  verses, and I claim it often too. I
have been feeling puny for a couple of days now, I got the flu
shot Monday, and then started feeling sick to my stomach. I am
feeling a little better today, although still kinda queezy feeling.

Well all is going well, and we are looking forward to having our children here for Thanksgiving, it is a very special day and we
love it being a day our family can gather around and share what
we are thankful for. I have bought the Turkey and fixings, and
ready for our day to begin. I pray that you all have a very blessed
Thanksgiving, and give God the glory for all we have. Thank you
for all the great comments and prayers you are praying for my dh and I, it is so appreciated. God bless each of you, and be blessed,
you are indeed a blessing to me.

Thankful Thursday

It has been a great day, my dh took the final test and passed
now he has the hands on test and will have his passengers
license, he can drive any vehicle that hold passengers now,
mostly will be for driving the Church Bus. SO Praise God,
we all are so very blessed, read these few things and see
if you agree, you are truly blessed of God. Amen...

If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the million who won't survive the week.

If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation, you are ahead of 20 million people around the world.

If you attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death, you are more blessed than almost three billion people in the world.

If you have food in your refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.
If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful, you are blessed because the majority can, but most do not.

If you can read this message, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read anything at all.

You are so blessed in ways you may never even know.

If we tried to count the blessings our loving Heavenly Father bestows upon us daily we would find it an impossible task our blessings are to numerous to count.

How dare we ever complain that we are poor, persecuted, hard done by, or anything else, we have a roof over our heads, a few dollars in the bank, a little money in our purse, hot water for a shower, food in the refrigerator, etc etc. We are the richest 8% in the world, even the poorest of us. We can go to church and worship our awesome God in complete freedom. We have never experienced true persecution in any shape or form. Let us never forget or take it for granted, our Father has blessed us so greatly, we should be forever grateful for all the wonderful blessings that Father pours upon us daily, and we should be constantly thanking Him who has given us so very much.

Now Have a wonderfully blessed evening, and KNOW you are blessed of the blessed.

Just one of HIS flock, Barbara

Thankful Thursday
We had a good crowd nightly, last night the most

The two boys looking here got saved

Children in Chapel

Older kids gathering for preaching service

This has been such an exciting week, now today it is
beginning to wind down, we have had 3 saved, and perhaps
even more, only heaven will reveal all the seeds that were
planted this week.
Keep us all in your prayers as we feed, teach and love these
dear children, I think we brought in 24 on the bus last night,
and 9 more came in the van, so we are having a great gathering
each evening.
It has been a busy time, and may God bless all those faithful
workers that gather each night to help these children learn
about the Saviour, that is why each of us are giving our time,
talents and love to these dear little ones, remember Jesus said
"Matthew 19:14 Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me:
for such is the kingdom of heaven"
Let us never under estimate how much God will bless those who keep his
commandments and give in his name, there are so many verses that prove
this. I hope you all have a very blessed Thursday, I know I am so
thankful to be part of the happenings this week at Peoples Liberty BC.
Be blessed in all you do, and know Jesus loves you, and so do I.

Abiding in His love, Barbara

Thursday, July 7, 2011

I am thankful this Thursday for a church that has a vision, that wants to see souls
saved, and wants to bring boys and girls in to learn about Jesus. Matthewt 19:14
"But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven". So many Churches do not have soul winning programs any more, so I am honored to be part of a church who goes out on visitation and brings in souls for the glory of God, amen and amen. This photo is one of our bus, some of the men are working on the bus, sanding, taping off and painting, it takes lots of hard work, and praise God for men willing to give of their time for this project; it will be blue and white all when finished, now the white is finished, today they will tape the rest off, and tomorow the bus will be painted, (Lord willing and it does not rain) here are a  couple more photos of the bus in the process. Wonderful site to behold, and a wonderfl place to be serving my lord. As it states in Proverbs 29:18  "Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he".
Praise God our people have a  vision, and it is seeing the lost brought to a
saving knowledge of Christ. Here are the other photos:

You can see it is looking good, and should be pretty well finished tomorrow.
I just have so much to be thankful for, my pastor ask me to teach the teen
girls, now I have taught all ages, and for the past 20 years been teaching women,
it has been a long time since I taught young girls, but I am taking the challenge,
and I ask that God give me all I need to teach them, I know I have love, I have his
word, and beyond that he will do the rest, so I trust in him to help us grow
together and become the Godly women our lord wants us to be.
I am thinking on this, I talked to the girls last night after service about going out on visitation with me, and they are all excited, I am so thrilled, perhaps we will build this class by getting them in one by one, amen, no better event than to take them soul winning, maybe spring for a treat of some kind afterwards too, these girls are dear, I am really looking forward to teaching them, and becoming a part of their life. Lord help me to be what YOU would have me to me, so I may teach others, we must first be a good follower before we can ever be a teacher, so may I follow faithfully, and do all that is expected in me, thank you lord, for giving me such a complete and wonderful written hand book to learn from and to live by, thank you for saving me and making me one of your children, I so pray that I may help others on their walk in faith, God's word shall reveal all I need, so thank you lord for this day that I am able to praise you.
Do you dear blogger have a testimony for this wonderful Thursday to be thankful for?
God bless you each and may your day count for the lord Jesus Christ and may he bless you completely. ♥

So much to be thankful for, look at this photo, it is the sun, taken Monday afternoon in Folkston, GA amazing, how bright and red it is, the smoke is affecting the sky and how it appears, this sun, reminds me of that scripture about the moon turning to blood, even though it is not the moon it is just what I picture.
We have had an amazing week, thank you for the prayers for Sunday, my dh preached a powerful sermon, and one boy was saved, it truly blessed our heart to be with our friends from the past, if you missed the other post, we were at the church my husband resigned a few years ago, and it was a real blessings.
Then he was able to preach last night at the church we are attending, it was a blessing too, he had an incredible message from God, and it touched so many hearts. Including mine, made me really take notice, and examine my own heart.
We have had a great week, and looking forward to more days of blessings ahead, I love the lord and how he always blesses our faithfulness, yet it is he in me that makes me do all I want to for him, he sure is awesome, and I sure am thankful for the blessing of salvation, and his hand upon my life all these years, my dh will be 70 in August, and he is still going strong for our Saviour, that is a true blessing to me, knowing him before salvation, and then after, I see the complete change Christ did in his heart and in our life.
Thank you lord, I am happy to be called a Christian, and may I always glorify your name and you in all I do.

I fixed this the other day, it is so delicious, here is my recipe.

Georgia Peach Pound Cake

Thankful Thursday

I am thankful that we are doing work for the lord, and that even though I stay tired he keeps me going. Through God's Grace and infinite mercy.

A preacher we met at the graduation Tuesday evening called and asked brother Chuck to come and preach at his church in Waycross last evening, so we did, and it was really a good message on God's marvellous mercy. We did not get home til late again ,it is a hour drive from here. We did enjoy it though. I am thankful he gives us the strength and health to be able to do the things we can do for him, it just amazes me how he works, and how things come out of no where.

The pastor from the church in Woodbine where my husband was pastor for 14 years called and wants him to come preach Father's day, so that is kinda fitting, he is like a father to all those in Woodbine church. I am looking for ward to going, I wish Jennifer was still there we could sing a song, (she and her family were there when we were there and we sang a lot) it wil be nice, and I give God the glory for opening these doors for Chuck, it blesses my heart to see him preach, I am partial, I love his preaching, it has always filled my cup plum full.

Some get old and just sit around, thank God we are not some of them, we are very active, and do all we are able to do for the lord. it blesses my heart, because a year ago I could barely get around, then I had knee replacement surgery and today I can go, I must say I do get more tired now than I used to, but you can always sleep, work for the lord today, we may not be able to tomorrow, we never know what will happen tomorrow, so may we all do all we can for our blessed Saviour today, who give his all for us.
I am so thankful God saved me and keeps me saved and is coming for again one day, and I say, COME QUICKLY LORD, COME QUICKLY. Well hope you all are thankful for today, the breath you breathe and the roof over head, the food you eat, the clothes you wear, yep they all come from God, in his infinite mercy he cares for us in every small detail, figure he takes care of the sparrow, how much more will he care for me, amen, thank you lord for all your blessings on me. Well that is what I have been up to, how about you, what is going on in your life.
Lots of hugs, Blessings Barbara

Thankful Thursday

Wow today is June 2nd already, Thursday again, it seems it was just Thursday yesterday, time is flying, I remember as a kid in a Nursery Rhyme book it showed time flying, (Clocks flying in the air) it seems that way at times too.

It has been a very busy week for us, marvellous Monday I relaxed and made potato salad for dinner, we ate early and then went to a great Revival in Blackshear, GA, it was good, we went out for coffee after and did not get home until almost midnight that night, I am glad I had rested for the better part of the day. Then terrific Tuesday we went out on visitation for the church, left about 2 and returned at 5:30 just in time to get refreshed and head to Folkston, GA for another Revival, it was good, 2 saved and some lives changed, it is geared more for the youth though, and it lasted until after 10 pm that night, sooooooo another late night getting home. Oh but it was all well worth it, my cup is full and running over, so I am drinking from my saucer, ever heard that song? I love it, I used to sing it, I am not sure if I still have the tape or not, been a long time sing I did sing it.

Then yesterday wonderful Wednesday I made up some prayer requests, fixed our meal and headed to church for our prayer meeting, it was a good time spent with loving home folks, my dear husband and I sang, "If that isn't Love" we love that song too, it means so much to us, we could hardly hear the music so may of gotten out of sync at times but sang to God for his glory. We came home last night and finished off the brownie with ice cream on top, and went to bed before 11 first time all week. I am tired.

Today, thankful Thursday, well one thing I am thankful for is the energy and strength to do all we have did this week, that is a fact. God has given us the will and renewed our strength as we "Mount up with wings as Eagles, walk and not be weary, to run and not faint. Amen his ways are not our ways, but his ways are proven and best. He saved me in 1974 for anyone who never heard my testimony, and called my husband into the ministry in 1980. Our first ministry was in Miami, FL yep...Husband was called to be the Bus Director at a church there, it was interesting to say the lest, we did learn some Spanish and could communicate some, lol we had a wonderful bus ministry there, seen lots of souls saved. We have been in about all the ministries you can think of, and then God called us to Woodbine, GA to a little Country church there, wow, we had never even heard of this town, but we answered the call and drove back and forth from Jacksonville, FL to Woodbine, GA for over a year, then God burdened our heart to sell our home in FL and move to GA, Whewwwwwwww. That was a real leap of faith too, we sold our home in 3 weeks, and were headed to Woodbine in 4 weeks, no place to go, so we stayed in some rooms at the church, and shsssss don't let this get around, but used the Baptism for our personal shower, giggles, now that was a first, and hope last too. Well to cut this story short, we lived there for a couple of months, until we developed the land we bought, and ordered a home to put on the land, lol then come moving day, it rained all day, and my mattress got wet, so it sat in the kitchen of my new home for 3 days drying, oh what a mess, but God brought us through, and that is another reason to be thankful, in the messes of our life, God brings us through. I am going to stop here, but I could tell story after story of days like that, and how God came on the scene and made all things  right. I have lots to be thankful for, and I know you do too, hope you enjoyed my little jottings today, hope you continue to read and comment on my blog, I have grown to love each of you.
Be blessed and be a blessing, Barbara ♥

Thankful Thursday

Tell me what are you thankful for today?

I mean really truly thankful, that something has been accomplished in your life that you know only God could of done.

I love the time to talk about being thankful, we all have a list long as my arm.

Some times we complain and grumble but all in all I am so thankful for every day he gives me. His provision daily for my needs, so many are out of work, and going without, and we never know from day to day what this day shall bring, but we do know who controls the day, who gives us another day, and who will meet our need for that day.

I am so thankful that I know a God who is so compassionate with his children, who is long suffering with us, and who loves us so much.

My husband preached last night on go out QUICKLY into the highways and hedges and compel them to come in, that his house may be filled. It was a uplifting and very stirring message. We went on visitation Tuesday and talked to about 30 people, who most say they are going to heaven, and are sure, they have accepted Christ as Saviour, but, do not go to church any where, that just does not make sense to me. So of course we invited them to come to church and to be blessed of God.

We tell so many folks and yet they never darken the doors of any church. Sad, and I am thankful that we do have a willing heart to love the lord, to serve the lord, and especially to tell others about him, and to attend ever service with joy and excitement. I love going to church, and I know that is not of the flesh, the old flesh would rather stay home, so it is the lord in me making me happy and excited about being with my brothers and sisters in Christ.

I hope your day will be filled with lots of blessings, and know each of you are a blessing to me, God bless you, and be a blessing.

Thursday, March 10, 2011

Well I am thankful I am able to be here, and not in a hospital some where. So many are ill and in the hospital or down in bed. I praise God for being okay now.

I thank God for my salvation, always, and forever. I have never been the same, and I will forever be thankful for the lord saving my soul.

I thank God for my wonderful family, my 5 healthy children and 11 healthy grandchildren, and now 8 great grandchildren, wow God has been good to me, and to all of our family.

Psalm 127:5 "Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them": they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

I am happy, and our quiver is plum full, praise God for his goodness upon us, and for his daily provision for us, thank you my father in heaven, and keep a hand upon us all, draw us to your side, and keep us strong and planted in the lord. Thank you Jesus for making it all possible. This all reminds me of this song:

(Thank you Lord for Saving my Soul)

Some thank the Lord for friends and home

For mercies sure and sweet
But I would praise Him for his grace
In prayer I would repeat

Refrain:
Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul
Thank you, Lord, for making me whole
Thank you, Lord, for giving to me
Thy great salvation so rich and free

Some thank Him for the flow’rs that grow
Some for the stars that shine
My heart is filled with joy and praise
Because I know He’s mine

I trust in Him from day to day
I prove His saving grace
I’ll sing this song of praise to Him
Until I see His face

♥ Thankful Thursday ♥

Looking at this old photo, I am thankful for electricity today, back when this photo was taken they lived with oil lamps for lighting, not just a switch to turn on, or a night light for getting up in the night, but an ole stinky oil lamp. Now I do have several for when we loose power, filled with the lamp oil and ready for use always.

Here we never know about power, It would go out at various times, even in good weather, really frustrating, although I must say it is much better these days than when we first moved here, (15 years ago) they must of did some improvements. So I am definitely thankful for our electric power. Nothing like coming into a dark house at night and flipping a switch for instant light. We live in the woods and in the Country it is very dark at night. We leave our running lights on the back porch on, so when we come home after dark we can see to put the key in the door, lol it looks like the Love Boat, (anyone remember that show?) all lit up, you can see it through the woods coming down our road. I often wonder what some may think when they see these light through the woods, the ones who do not know us.

I am thankful that I am feeling better these days, I was sick for so long, and now it feels good to feel good. I just am praising God for his mercy on me, and healing my illness.

I am mostly thankful for my salvation, that I can live a good and honest life through Jesus Christ my lord, that he keeps me, and one day I will meet him face to face. Oh glory what a day that will be. This makes me think of this little verse we learned a long time ago. ▼
Let your Love flow through me,
Let your Love flow through me,
Make me a blessing Lord,
Where ever I may be;
Keep me pure, Keep me clean,
So as you may be seen,
Let your Love, Let your Love flow through me.

Okay now tell me, what are you thankful for ladies?
We all have so very much to thank the dear Lord for.

Have a Very Blessed Day, and Be a Blessing.

Thankful Thursday

Well I am so thankful I am finally feeling better, my strength is returning, and my coughing has almost stopped; praise the name of the Lord, my throat is no longer sore either, so I do believe I am getting well, after a long battle with this, 3 weeks and so many tough days, today I am so thankful that I am able to do the things I need to get done here, doing laundry, and picking up around here.

I felt good enough yesterday to make this scrumptous pie
Coconut cream, and I got the recipe from Sandra at Keeping it Simple, it is great girl, and my dh loved it too, this is my favorite, and although it takes quite a bit of work it is well worth it. here is a photo I took before we cut it, then today after some has been eaten, also I made Tommy dodds out of the extra dough I had left over.

Thankful Thursday

How many remember these? I wore them in9th grade, with bobby socks and all, black watch plaid skirt, oh me I was styling for sure.
I am thankful I lived in easier times, and have seen so many things had been invented. I suppose my generation has seen more inventions than any other generation in history.  To me that is a blessing, God has allowed me to see all the things these eyes have seen.

I remember standing out in my front yard and all of a sudden the whole house was shaking, and such a terrible sound I had never heard, we found out later a Jet had flew over, and it broke the sound barrier. Now isn't that something to remember.  lol

Never in my young life did I think there would be an automatic dish washer around, just put all them plates in that machine, and it cleaned them better than I did, yes I sure have seen some inventions, like me sitting here in my living room tying this on a computer, wow now that is a great invention. I do love my laptop, I am getting used to it now, and truly enjoying it.

I had a great day today, seen my doctor, (I am doing good) then we ate lunch at Shoney's, looked at some new Suv's then did our monthly grocery shopping, whew, a very full day, now I am warm and cozy catching up on the blogging world. Hope you all have a great evening, and God bless you real good.

Thankful Thursday

This has been a wonderful week, full of blessings and surprises. My dear husband retired from the City a few years ago, and we received a letter yesterday saying they owed him some money, from back pay he never received when he retired, giggles now how cool is that, right around this time of year. God just keep blessing and we just keep taking and thanking him. I have so very much to be thankful for. I have an appointment with my surgeon today, and I am going to see if he can drain that cyst of do something that can relieve the pain and pressure it is causing, so pray with me that he can do that.
I have a good Recipe here below I am sharing with you, looks easy to make and will be good for the holidays, maybe I will share a couple. You have a very blessed day, and keep thanking HIM.

Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add the eggs 1 at a time. Then beat in the buttermilk, vinegar, vanilla and red food coloring. Once combined, add the dry ingredients to wet. Mix until thoroughly combined.

Onto a parchment lined sheet tray, drop batter using an ice cream scoop, forming 2-inch round circles.

Bake for 10 minutes, until baked through. Cookies should be cake-like and light. Allow to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely.

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:
In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, butter, and vanilla together until smooth. Add the sugar and on low speed, beat until incorporated. Increase the speed to high and mix until very light and fluffy.
Spread the cream cheese frosting between 2 cooled cookies and roll the edges in finely chopped pecans, if desired.
