Wednesday Words To Live By

In my devotions this morning I was reading here in Psalm 102 the more I read the more I seemed to be wrapped up in the arms of God, it is a prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed, and pouring out his heart to the lord.

It really touched my heart also, to know he hears my prayer, and he is just waiting for me to come to him.
It seems it is when we are all alone he comes to us, and we can pour out our troubles and cleave unto him, there is nothing too large or too small for us to take unto the lord, he is our help in time of need, and I do pray I always run to him first, insead of last like in times past.
Look at these verses now, and see how the lord will speak to you and what he will console you with and about. Be blessed for he will bless them that love him.

1 Hear my prayer, O LORD, and let my cry come unto thee.
2 Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily.
3 For my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned as an hearth.
4 My heart is smitten, and withered like grass; so that I forget to eat my bread.
5 By reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my skin.
6 I am like a pelican of the wilderness: I am like an owl of the desert.
7 I watch, and am as a sparrow alone upon the house top.
8 Mine enemies reproach me all the day; and they that are mad against me are sworn against me.
9 For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping,
10 Because of thine indignation and thy wrath: for thou hast lifted me up, and cast me down.
11 My days are like a shadow that declineth; and I am withered like grass.

I am ending with these verses, if you care to continue reading there is many more verses to bless your soul.

Wednesday Wonderful Word

A real friend is one who will show you how to turn things over to God...and leave them there.  A real friend is one who will pray with  you when you heart aches. A real friend
shows you the path to happiness in God.

Proverbs 18:24 " A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother."

Do you have a real friend? One who is really the biblical version? Count yourself blessed if you do. I know I have some Godly friends, that encourage me, and let me know that God has everything under control. I love the statement "Give some one a smile, They may not have one of their own" that is so deep...Stop and think of the concept of that statement, you see some one stepping on their lip, could be they lost a loved one, or found out they had cancer, or their husband was mean to them, or kids unruly, could be most anything, may we give them a smile freely, and befriend them, let them feel they are not all alone. We have a great friend in Jesus, and we can cast all our cares upon him, for we know he cares for us, so let us extend that same friendship to all those around us. God bless you today my dear friends, I hope God will lead you to some one who needs your faith, your smile and your hug.

We had a glorious time yesterday. The Spiritual food was so satisfying and so was the physical food, lots of preaching and singing, such a good time of fellowship with God's elect. It blessed my heart to be part of such a Godly day, my cup sure got filled, and running over, It was a long day, but well worth the drive.

Ludowici, GA is about 1 1/2 hours from here, it began at 2 pm, 3 preachers preached and we had some singing from the congregation, then at 4:45 we had a break and a snack and drink, then back and another preacher preached, then supper at 5:45; we ate and fellow shipped with lots of other Pastors from all around Georgia. 7 pm the evening service started, special singing, a pastor and his family sang, and then a couple from the hosting church sang, it was a super blessing. Then we had more preaching, a Evangelist, Joe Barker, I had never heard of him, but he give a glorious and uplifting message.

At 9 pm we left for home. I was glad to see my street sign and hit that dirt road, I know I would be home soon. We slept in this morning until 8 good nites rest I had.

Today is pay day, so not sure if we will go shopping today or wait until tomorrow, I have a doctors app tomorrow so may wait. Tonight is Church and I am waiting for that time, I love being in the house of the lord, with his people, nothing better, I could stay daily there, heehee. Well what are your plans for today.

Have you heard of the fires in the Swamp?  It has burned over 92,000 acres, and getting close to some homes in Baker CO FL. The woods were burning up in Ludowici too the air filled with smoke, we need rain, and we need it today, the fires are so out of control. Pray for this area and all the areas that have problems, flooding in Miss and just all over such tragedy.

♥Hope you have a great day, give some one a smile, they may not have one...♥

The Calm After The Storm

Last Nights Sky after the storm passed. It reminds me of the song. Til The Storm Passes Over:

FROM THE DARK OF THE MIDNIGHT HAVE I OFT HID MY FACE
WHILE THE STORM ROLLS ABOVE ME AND THERE'S NO HIDING PLACE
NEATH THE CRASH OF THE THUNDER , PRECIOUS LORD HEAR MY CRY
KEEP ME SAFE TIL THE STORM PASSES BY

TIL THE STORM PASSES OVER AND THE THUNDER SOUNDS NO MORE
TIL THE CLOUDS ROLL FOREVER FROM THE SKY, HOLD ME FAST LET ME STAND IN THE HOLLOW OF YOUR HAND , KEEP ME SAFE TIL THE STORM PASSES BY

MANY TIMES SATAN WHISPERS THERE IS NO USE TO TRY FOR THERES NOT END OF SORROW THERES NO HOPE IN THE BY AND BY
BUT I KNOW THAT THOU ART WITH ME AND TOMORROW I'LL RISE
WHERE THE STORM NEVER DARKENS THE SKY

WHEN THE LONG NIGHT HAS ENDED AND THE STORM COMES NO MORE
MAY I DWELL IN THY PRESENCE ON THAT BRIGHT PEACEFUL SHORE
IN THAT LAND WHERE NO STORM EVER COMES LORD MAY I
DWELL WITH THEE TILL THE STORM PASSES BY.

The Scripture I found is Ps 107:29  "He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still."  He calms the sea, he calms the storms he calms me.

Now after the rain and storm you see the beauty it has left, everything is so very
green now, and simply gorgeous. The road out front of our house, and the
beautiful wild flowers God has placed in our area for us to enjoy.

Song of Solomon 2:12 "The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land;"

Well that is time spent here today, may God bless you with all the beauty that surrounds you daily, stop and smell the flowers along the way, it makes the way seem easier and lots more fun.

Wednesday Wonderful Words

Well Spring is in the air, and God's loveliness is all around us.
We see his new growth, and new beginnings, Spring is my
favorite season. You know God loved Spring too, he mentioned it in 22 verses in the Bible, even though some of those verses were not the season, but made in speech.

Ecc 3:1 "To everything there is season; and a time to every purpose under heaven"

This verse says it all, everything there is a season, I have found that so true in life, so many things we read in the
holy word of God, we see in every day living, I have lived
many years, and many seasons and have seem very much of this wonderful world God created. I live to tell and share with others what God has allowed in my life, how he helped me to grow into the woman I am today, how he is
forever there and helping us in our daily chores. I found
many years ago that with some prayer our days will go so much better, than if we just rush into things, stop and pray
ask our heavenly Father to help you with the tasks at hand,
you will find how easy things go then on.

I seen that little photo it just pictured this time of year, for some reason Spring depicts bunnies and chicks, and I am
thinking it is the newness of the season. Animals even know the season, all young are born in the Spring, and then have a while to grow and get strong before the Winter comes.

I say I am in the Deep Winter of my years, I feel very young
but in all reality it is Winter for me, at least late Fall, lol but I will be forever Young at heart. There used to be an old song called Young at Heart, it was a wonderful old song, and had such meaning to it. Sung by Frank Sinatra

Young At Heart

Fairy tales can come true, it can happen to you

If you’re young at heart
For it’s hard, you will find, to be narrow of mind
If you’re young at heart

You can go to extremes with impossible schemes
You can laugh when your dreams fall apart at the seams
And life gets more exciting with each passing day
And love is either in your heart or on it’s way
Don’t you know that it’s worth every treasure on earth
To be young at heart

For as rich as you are it’s much better by far
To be young at heart

And if you should survive to 105
Look at all you’ll derive out of being alive
Then here is the best part
You have a head start
If you are among the very young at heart

And if you should survive to 105
Look at all you’ll derive out of being alive
Then here is the best part
You have a head start
If you are among the very young at heart

So remember to sing unto the lord, and enjoy your wonderful season of Spring,
the lord hath made just for us to enjoy.. Be blessed,
and be a blessing.

♥Wednesday Wonderful Words♥

Acts 4:12 "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved".

While many False Prophets have been offered, only the True Jesus Christ, only begotten son of God, saves. While we often live for many lords, only one Lord give liberty and sets us free from sin and death. While many ways are claimed bring us close to God, Jesus says that he is the only way.John 14:6 :Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me". So we are driven to one ultimate question: do we believe salvation is in Jesus alone, or do we not? It's our choice. But what we decide about Jesus is really deciding about everything. Is Jesus your Lord? Is Jesus the name above all names in your life? Is Jesus your Savior? If not, then please accept him today, for the Bible says: "Salvation is found in no one else."

We had a great Sunday, hubby preached in Jacksonville, FL and today he is preaching the Chapel service at the school, God is using him, and that is his prayer, one thing he fears, is that God will set him on the shelf, he could not stand that, he loves preaching, and teaching, and serving God in any way possible. I sure love that man, he has been such a faithful servant for so very many years.

I do pray you all have a wonderful day, that God will pour out his blessings upon you, and that you will in turn bless some one else.

We got our green beans, and onions planted, and I planted my cherry tomatoes that I will keep on the back porch on the sunny morning side, hope it all goes well, and wanting to get down to Starke, FL to pick strawberries this month too, hope we can, I love to freeze them, I have lots of blueberries still from last Spring we picked in the freezer, I just made blueberry muffins Saturday.

Wednesday Wonderful Words

Growth!

I've always heard that anything that's alive will exhibit growth!
Ladies, are you growing in the Lord?
Are you even trying to grow in the Lord?
Are you spending time in the Word regularly?
How is your prayer life?

Do you commune with your Saviour?

Listen to the very last words ever written by Simon Peter, the best known Disciple of our Lord.
"But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen." 2nd Peter 3:18

Now that main verb ... "grow" ... is set in the imperative mood, expressing a command!
It basically means "to increase!"
God is not requesting us to grow.
He expects it!
He even commands it!
Are you growing?

This is such a good study on growth, it came from a Godly lady that has gone home to be with the lord, but the word still remains, effective, and effectuel. I love God's word how about you, are you growing in grace, in faith, in obedience to our lord Jesus Christ, may we all grow more, and be more aware of what our lord expects from us. God bless you this Wednesday, and I do pray that this message will be taken to heart, and applied by us all, have a wonderful prayer meeting tonight, and let us all worship God in Spirit and truth.

Be blessed and be a blessings, Barbara

Wednesday, January 26, 2011

I received this in an email, I thought it very unique so I am sharing it with you. It also reminds me of this song, lol

Ring-the-bells-of-heaven.mid

Ring the bells of Heaven! There is joy today,

For a soul, returning from the wild!
See, the Father meets him out upon the way,
Welcoming His weary, wandering child.

Glory! Glory! How the angels sing:
Glory! Glory! How the loud harps ring!
’Tis the ransomed army, like a mighty sea,
Pealing forth the anthem of the free.

Ring the bells of Heaven! There is joy today,
For the wanderer now is reconciled;
Yes, a soul is rescued from his sinful way,
And is born anew a ransomed child.

Glory! Glory! How the angels sing:
Glory! Glory! How the loud harps ring!
’Tis the ransomed army, like a mighty sea,
Pealing forth the anthem of the free.

Ring the bells of Heaven! Spread the feast today!
Angels, swell the glad triumphant strain!
Tell the joyful tidings, bear it far away!
For a precious soul is born again.

Glory! Glory! How the angels sing:
Glory! Glory! How the loud harps ring!
’Tis the ransomed army, like a mighty sea,
Pealing forth the anthem of the free.

I have been taking Alka Seltzer Plus and it seems to be breaking up the conjestion in my chest, making it possible to bring up, before it was just laying heavy on my chest.
I have been sick way too long, and with the way I feel is why I have not been around the sites lately, please forgive me, pray for me, and soon as I am able I will be writing more interesting subjects, and posting some good new recipes. Hope your day is a great one.

Wonderful Wednesday Words

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
John 14:1-3

He's coming back! As much as the world likes to remember Jesus' first coming during the Christmas season, we need to remind them that his Second Coming will be even greater. We want to be prepared, and our lives dedicated to his glory and hearts full of expectation at his coming.

He tells us in Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

He warns us in many of the scriptures to watch and pray, and be ready, we must tell those around us to be ready, and how to be ready, not just saying well you better get saved and be ready is  enough, they do not understand what we mean.

Be plain and explain to them how they can be saved, and what will happen if they do not accept Christ as Saviour, it is our duty as a Christian to tell everyone we meet.
Let us be bold and have a fervent desire this new year to make sure all those around us are safe in the fold. I hope you will join me in the effort.

I pray and hope you have a wonderful Wednesday, and a great time of prayer and fellowship tonight at church. God bless you.

In his Love, Barbara

Wednesday Wonderful Words

May the Lord God bless thee and keep thee, the scripture today is out of Daniel, hope you enjoy our short study.

14 ¶ Then Daniel answered with counsel and wisdom to Arioch the captain of the king’s guard, which was gone forth to slay the wise men of Babylon:

15 He answered and said to Arioch the king’s captain, Why is the decree so hasty from the king? Then Arioch made the thing known to Daniel.

16 Then Daniel went in, and desired of the king that he would give him time, and that he would shew the king the interpretation.

17 Then Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions:

18 That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret; that Daniel and his fellows should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.

19 Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven.

20 Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:

21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: (Verse on Photo)

22 He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.

23 I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king’s matter.

What an awesome Testimony Daniel had for the lord, he never backed down from any one of importance, even the king, he could of had him killed but instead asked for him to interpret what the things had meant, that was the hand of God upon Daniel, now, is the hand of God upon you, do you stand up for what you know is right and pleasing to the lord? Or do you back down when some one of influence is around, get quiet, and not be heard as a voice for the lord.
May we always be strong in the lord, as Timothy said always ready to give an account,  2Ti 4:2  Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. May we always be ready to tell some one just the Bible says, we speak for our lord and it is important to know what we are talking about. May we all commit to be more vigilant and forthcoming with the word of God, to be more intent on the things of the lord, to be about our father's business in daily things, and may we worship the lord God Almighty, in Spirit and truth.

Wonderful Wispering Wednesday

Do we sit still long enough to hear that still small voice speaking to us, remember when Samuel was sleeping and the lord called unto him, he thought it is was Eli calling him, but it was God in his still small voice, and when God talked to Elijah he knew it was the lord, and he listened,

And the lord called... occurs in 140 verses in the KJV of the Bible, how many times have you heard that still small voice and really listened to what he was saying? I love these verses in Kings, and Elijah was a true man of God, but he was a man, he had his bad moments too, he whined and cried just as we do at times, but God supplied his every need. Look at these verses and stop and ask God, what are you trying to say to me lord?

1Kings 19:12 "And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a  a still small voice.

1Ki 19:13 And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?

1Kings 19:14 "And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: because the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away."

1King 19:15 "And the LORD said unto him, Go, return on thy way to the wilderness of Damascus: and when thou comest, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria:"

I would love to say I always hear my lord calling my name, but some times my mind is on other things, and I hurry through prayer and go about what I am doing, oh me, shame on me, that I should ever have anything more important than talking to the lord. I ask you Lord to forgive me right now before I go on, I am sorry, I do not always listen, thank you for being such a loving and caring God that you forgive.

I so remember that day he called my name, and I said like Isaiah Here I am lord, and he touched me in a way that I have never been the same again, I ran long and hard not to hear that voice of God, but I got tired, and stopped, and I listened to what he had to say, he said come unto me, I will give you rest, and he has, he said he would never leave or forsake me, he said he went to prepare a place for me, that place is in heaven, and when I die I know I will go to be with him, and every day of my life for the last 36 years he has been talking to me, leading me, giving me direction. Oh thank you lord for that still small voice you speak to me in, no one else hears, it is for me alone, our sweet love talks, thank you lord for keeping with me, when others may of let me down, you were always there, and I know you always will be there through the end. Like what you have promised me.

Psalm 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

Psa 23:2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

Psa 23:3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Psa 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Psa 23:5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Psa 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

I leave you with these thoughts, God is always there, listen to his still small voice, he loves you and wants to talk to you today. Let him whisper sweet peace to you, have a glorious Wednesday. Hugs ♥ Blessings

Wednesday Wonderful Words

I love Wednesdays, it is the middle of the week, and the day we go to church to get our heart lift for the rest of the week, we gather and pray for all our needs, it is a good time of fellowship and just a good day, even the name sounds happy, puts a song in my heart, and pep in my step, how about you?  Do you feel happy today?
Is it the bright spot in your week. I think of the Prophet Jeremiah what he said in Chapter 3 and verse 2 and 3;

"2. Thus saith the LORD the maker thereof, the LORD that formed it, to establish it; the LORD is his name;

3. Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."

Wow, all we have to do is call upon the lord and he will show us all kinds of things that we cannot even imagine, have you prayed for something that only you and God knew about? Then he answered your prayer and magnified what you ask for. Amen, yep that is my God, he gives and gives and never stops giving, from the time of creation throughout eternity he gives, God is such an awesome God, the only one, it sure blesses my heart to be able to call him Father.
In such a vast universe of billions of stars, think of the power of God who made them and knows each of their names. Think of all he knows that we don't. Think of all he has seen that we have not seen, think of all that he has written and is not in our history books. Think of all he has done and can do. Add to this that he asks us to talk to him about the things of our heart and our needs, then you understand the great space of his grace and our very limited knowledge of our minds.
He created us for fellowship with him, we are not forced to love him, we are not forced to talk to him, it is our honor to come before a holy God and tell him the things that are on our heart, whew, Well glory getting me lifted high in the Spirit already this morning. Yes just like Jeremiah penned through the power of the Holy Spirit, he will answer thee, and shew they great and mighty things which thou knowest not.

I leave you today with these thoughts, found in Matthew, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:"

This song keeps going through my head too, when I seen that photo of the morning sun peeping through the clouds.

(I come to the Garden Alone)

I come to the garden alone

While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses.

Refrain

And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.

He speaks, and the sound of His voice,
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing,
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing.

Refrain

I’d stay in the garden with Him
Though the night around me be falling,
But He bids me go; through the voice of woe
His voice to me is calling.

Refrain

Have a wonderfully blessed Wednesday.

Wednesday's Wonderful Word

"Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid." Matthew 5:14

Most of the world today is filled with darkness, and most of the talk today is viewed by darkness in how the people live. But when people live for Christ, we see that vast difference in the world, how they dress, how they act, how they talk. Because our light shines in this darkness, others take notice. Are others seeing your light shine? Will they be drawn to the Father by that light? Or will they simply say, oh they live just like us, why would I want to be a Christian. God forbid, may we let the world see God's grace and love shine though our daily lives, may we reach them for Christ while there is yet time.  I always say I want to live the same when I am home as I do when I am at church, some times I do look pretty ratty, my hair a mess, and old stained and holey clothes on, but there is still something different in me, I still shine, If I ever loose that shine and that willingness to be Christ like, I hope he just says come on home, your no good to me here any more. I think many Christians have been called home early because of this very reason. When we get so much like the world around us, we just have no heavenly use, we do not have any affect on those around us, and there is no reason for God to leave us here. I must say there are times when I feel so heavy and laden, and just wish he would come get me, then he gives me a touch of his love, his strength, his power, and I have the will to face another day.  I have Rheumatoid Arthritis; the Doctor told me with in 5 years I would probably be in a wheel chair, well I sure do not want that to happen, and I do not want to dwell on that fact of being ill, I want you to see the Spirit in me,  going forward and being active, there are days I cannot hardly move, and my legs will not go much, but I refuse to lay down and quit. 1Corinthians 16:13 "Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong."  God has left me here for a reason, I must carry out his commission and when he says lay down girl, your work is finished, then I will lay day. But, until then I will keep going, through his strength, knowing he will give me what I need to do his will.  Have a very blessed Wednesday, and a wonderful prayer meeting tonight, pray one for another, and keep each of our bloggers in your prayers too.  Let your light shine bright where ever you go. Follow the foot steps of Jesus.

Wednesday Wonderful Words of Life

A Friend from church has passed on, and today is his funeral, we are going to celebrate the home
going of this man, as Christians we know he is in a better place, and although he will be missed, and his dear wife will have times of great sorrow, we have the assurance that we will meet him again, in heaven with our lord. The scripture we use is this
Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.  We know when our eyes close in death, that we will open them in heaven.
So with this I will leave you today to ponder on these word to our favorite song we sing at many funerals through the years, It is soothing, it is peace giving, and it is appropiate for this time. God bless and do pray for the McInvale family.

I CALL IT HOME

SOMEWHERE BEYOND THE GRAVE, THERE IS A LAND
WHERE JESUS WENT TO PREPARE, BY HIS OWN HAND
AND FOR THE SAVED BY GRACE, THERE IS A RESTING PLACE
AND IN A FEW MORE DAYS, IT WILL BE OURS.

CHORUS
SOME CALL IT HEAVEN.. I CALL IT HOME
SOME CALL IT DREAMIN.. LET ME DREAM ON
SOME CALL IT PARADISE.. SOMEWHERE BEYOND THE SKIES
SOME CALL IT HEAVEN.. I CALL IT HOME

SOME SAY THAT YOU CAN'T GO, BACK HOME AGAIN
THINGS WILL NOT EVER BE, AS GOOD AS THEY'VE BEEN
IV'E GOT GOOD NEWS FOR YOU, WHEN HEAVEN COMES INTO TO VIEW
ONE GLIMPSE AND YOU'LL KNOW THE BEST... IS YET TO COME

CHORUS

SOME CALL IT HEAVEN.. I CALL IT HOME
SOME CALL IT DREAMIN.. LET ME DREAM ON
SOME CALL IT PARADISE.. SOMEWHERE BEYOND THE SKIES
SOME CALL IT HEAVEN.. I CALL IT HOME

Now let me ask you, are you singing, is your Spirit soaring, like God mentions in his holy word, you know the word sing is mentioned 119 times from Exodus 15:1 to Revelation 15:3   I think God thought it very important to sing, and to lift our voice to him, I never thought much about it before, but that is an important command from our lord, like in Psalm 30:4 "Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness." all of these are telling us to sing unto the lord, lift our voices in song, and in praise.,  he really felt it important to state it so many times, so my sweet friends lets sing unto him, and let us give praise and honor and glory to him forever and ever, lots of love my friends, and have a glorious Wednesday, and prayer meeting tonight.

♥Happy Fourth of July, Early, and Wednesday Words♥

When My girls were young and in a Christian School, they were in the Choir, they sang this song
and I loved it then, I love it now, and I hope you will love it too, also below the song is some
information about the Statue of Liberty, I hope you enjoy this blog today, it is my way of giving
tribute to my blessed America, and to let all know God is able to bring her back to him, if we
will just be faithful to God our self.

♥The Statue Of Liberty♥

In New York Harbor stands a lady

With a torch raised to the sky
And all who see her knows she stand for
Liberty for you and me

I’m so glad to be called an American
To be named with the brave and the free
I will honor our flag and our trust in God
And the Statue of Liberty

On lonely Golgotha stood a cross
With my Lord raised to the sky
And all who kneel there live forever
As all the saints can testify

I’m so glad to be called a Christian
To be named with the ransomed and whole
As the Statue liberates the citizen
So the cross liberates the soul

Oh the cross is my Statue of Liberty
It was there that my soul was set free
Unashamed I’ll proclaim that a rugged cross
Is my Statue of Liberty

Unashamed I’ll proclaim that a rugged cross
Is my Statue of Liberty

*The facts about the Statue of Liberty*

We [the US and France] have architect and sculptor Frederick Auguste Batholdi to thank for this beautiful lady in more ways then one. The original ‘life size’ cast of the Statue of Liberty stands amongst the beautiful flower gardens and fountains of Paris Luxembourg Gardens [which is home to the French Senate] in Paris. On her pedestal she’s approximately 15 feet high and absolutely ‘magnifique’ among the flowers and trees. This was architect/sculptor Batholdi’s miniature mold for the American Statue of Liberty.
Another, yet larger Statue of Liberty is approximately 35 feet in height on her base, and stands upon a tiny island called Swan Ally, Paris [Allée des Cygnes] in the Seine near the Grenelle Bridge. This exact Statue of Liberty replica monument was offered to the French by the American residents of Paris as a remembrance to commemorate the Centennial of the French Revolution. It was inaugurated on November 15, 1889 and was placed so that it faced the Eiffel Tower [so not to have it’s back to the Élysée Palace].

Gardens, Paris However, it’s creator Bartholdi was most upset that it did not face the New York location of the Statue of Liberty. But with persistence, as was his nature, Batholdi finally achieved getting the statue turned to face America at the time of the World's Fair in Paris in 1889. What does the tablet say on the statue of liberty, that the Swan Alley Statue of Liberty holds? It is inscribed with the dates IV Juillet 1776 et XIV Julliet 1789 [the dates of the US and French revolutions].

Now then, there is America’s Statue of Liberty, on Liberty Island in New York Harbor, and the most majestic Lady Liberty [as she is affectionately called] of them all. She's over 151 feet tall [on her base she’s more than 305 feet tall] and she’s truly magnificent! The statue was a gift to America from the French in honor of the Centennial of American independence. It is one of the most universal symbols of political freedom and democracy. The statues title is ‘Liberty Enlightening the World’ [but it is known to Americans as ‘The Statue of Liberty’].

The Statue of Liberty annual budget amounted to $13,261,000 for fiscal 2004.

Construction of the statue began in 1875 in France, and was completed in June 1884. A design patent, for the statue was issued, by the United States Patent Office, on February 18, 1879. The statue was dismantled and shipped to New York, arriving on June 19, 1885. The statue then took four months to rebuild. On Lady Liberty’s tablet is inscribed “July 4, 1776 in Roman numerals, Day of America's Independence from Britain: July 4, 1776”, and inscribed upon the base for the statue is an excerpt from Emma Lazarus poem "The New Colossus" which reads as follows [excerpt]:

The following partial excerpt from the poem that was written to help raise funds for the Statue of Liberty pedestal:

Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-lost to me

Emma Lazarus, "The New Colossus," 1883

Now that our memories are refreshed about the Statue of Liberty
[and her sister statues], we can only hope that everyone, on both sides of the Atlantic,
remembers what she stands for - Friendship, Freedom and Peace between our two countries,
and symbols for the rest of the world! We've given each other these symbols for these
specific reasons!

God bless you all, stay safe, and have a very blessed 4th of July, and may God bless America.

Wednesday Wonderful Word

I have thought and thought about what to write today, and I have always heard write what you know. So I do not know much, but I do know what God has did for me. So I have decided to share one of those times today.

I know once I give my all to him things have never been the same, so I will be using this scripture:

Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Some times we forget where everything comes from. I think back to the day when I realized that God provides ALL things, he may use others to give it to me, but all in all it comes from my heavenly Father.

I was an only child, and pretty well got everything I ever wanted, I thought my mom and dad provided these things, oh I was so wrong. Then I married young (17) and my husband cared for me, so again I thought he supplied all my needs. But you know no human being can supply our every need, they have many needs of their own, they too struggle with the same things we do, and although God uses our loved ones to provide, it is still coming from our heavenly Father. He supplies all our needs, lest we ever forget that, from the egg on our plate in the morning, to the water we shower with at night, his hand has provided all these things.

My husband hurt his back in a car accident back in the late 80's, and had to have back surgery. He was laid up for several weeks, and then several weeks after the surgery, oh me what will we do, that was my first response, how will we manage. So many things coming into to my head, my husband was our soul money maker, and now he is laying in a hospital bed, oh me what will we do...On and on and on I went, finally I could not go on any longer, I sat on my dining room floor and cried out to the lord, HELP...I realized no way could we do this on our own, and he gently showed me it was him all along providing my needs. I came face to face with the facts of life that night, God was my soul provider, he used Chuck and other folks to get it to me, but in the end it was always him. He went on and provided in this hard time, my grown children jumped in and helped all they could, our church brought food and just amazingly we did not get behind in any thing, I felt like the woman whose oil just keep going on and on and always more in the cabinet. Oh I proved my God, and he did what he promised in Philippians, from that day forward I put my trust in him, others may supply some needs, but I know in my heart it all came from my loving heavenly father, that made me that promise in Philippians, his word never fails, and you can take his word for every circumstance in your life, it is easy, just come to the end of your rope, then jump, I know God will catch you, he did me. Praise God for his mercy and his grace on this family. What he did for us he will do for you, he promised he would never leave or forsake us, take him at his word, trust him, he does not lie.

Well I have bared my heart here, I hope you can relate and it will help you in a time of trouble, God bless you and know God is able, no matter what your circumstance may be. 1Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
