The Lord is MY Shepherd From Psalms 23

Possession - The Lord is my shepherd

Provision - I shall not want

Position - He maketh me to lie down

Privilege - In green pastures

Preservation - He restoreth my soul

Progress - He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness

Peace - I will fear no evil

Presence - Thou art with me

Preparation - Thou preparest a table before me

Plenty - My cup runneth over

Pursuit - Goodness and mercy shall follow me

Prospect - I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever

Isn't it wonderful to see all the things our lord Jesus does
and is to us. He keeps us in all things and protects us
from the evil of this world, I never could repay him for
the most wonderful gift he ever give man kind, salvation.
Being God manifested in the flesh, and walked as man
draped in flesh he paid every debt I ever owed, the only
one who ever walked this earth without sinning, he was
here to please the father, in all things, we as Christians were
left after salvation to please the father too, in all things, we
do fall short many times, but then our great Shepherd comes
and picks us up and sends us on our way to obey, and
fullfill the commands of our lord. Have a such an obedient
Shepherd makes me want to serve and obey God even
more, to be more like Jesus daily. Have a very Blessed Day.
Pleasing the Shepherd, Obeying God,
In His loving care, Barbara ♥

Wonderful Monday...

Well hope your weekend was a good as mine, we had a fabulous day
with our church family, the word of God preached plain and simple
for all to hear and understand, we had a good SS class, and we all
are leaning how important prayer is in the life of a Christian.

Today I am going to post a good old fashioned bread I made last
week, its texture and amout of air is just perfect. You ready get your
get your pad to write it down. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
Then I put some homemade Strawberry jam on top, oh talk about good.

Barbara's Old Time White Bread
2 cups milk
1 pkg active dry yeast, or 1 cake compressed yeast
1/4 cup warm water (110 degrees)
2 Tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons shortening
2 1/2 tespoons salt
6 cups all purpose flour

Scald milk, soften yeast in warm water, let stand 5 min.
Pour scalded milk over sugar, shortening and salt, in a bowl.
When luke warm blend in one cup of flour
Stir yeast and beat well.
Add 3 cups of flour, continuing until smooth.
(I use my Kitchen aid bread beaters, works wonderful)
Beat in remaining flour until you have a soft dough.
Turn unto lightly floured surface, let rest 5 minutes.
Knead until smooth and elastic, place dough in a greased
bowl; turn to bring greased surface to top and cover.
Let stand in warm place until dough has dobled in size,
Punch down, let rise again until almost doubled in size.
Turn unto floured surface, Divide dough in half. Let rest
5 - 10 minutes, shape into loaves, place in 2 greased loaf pans.
Cover and let rise until doubled, about an hour.
Bake at 400 degrees, 50 minutes.
