Touched By the Master

The Master was searching for a vessel to use;

On the shelf there were many - which one would He choose?
Take me, cried the gold one, I'm shiny and bright,
I'm of great value and I do things just right.
My beauty and luster will outshine the rest
And for someone like You, Master, gold would be the best!

The Master passed on with no word at all;
He looked at a silver urn, narrow and tall;
I'll serve You, dear Master, I'll pour out Your wine
And I'll be at Your table whenever You dine,
My lines are so graceful, my carvings so true,
And my silver will always compliment You.

Unheeding the Master passed on to the brass,
It was widemouthed and shallow, and polished like glass.
Here! Here! cried the vessel, I know I will do,
Place me on Your table for all men to view.

Look at me, called the goblet of crystal so clear,
My transparency shows my contents so dear,
Though fragile am I, I will serve You with pride,
And I'm sure I'll be happy in Your house to abide.

The Master came next to a vessel of wood,
Polished and carved, it solidly stood.
You may use me, dear Master, the wooden bowl said,
But I'd rather You used me for fruit, not for bread!

Then the Master looked down and saw a vessel of clay.
Empty and broken it helplessly lay.
No hope had the vessel that the Master might choose,
To cleanse and make whole, to fill and to use.

Ah! This is the vessel I've been hoping to find,
I will mend and use it and make it all Mine.
I need not the vessel with pride of its self;
Nor the one who is narrow to sit on the shelf;
Nor the one who is big mouthed and shallow and loud;
Nor one who displays his contents so proud;
Not the one who thinks he can do all things just right;
But this plain earthy vessel filled with My power and might.

Then gently He lifted the vessel of clay.
Mended and cleansed it and filled it that day.
Spoke to it kindly. "There's work you must do,
Just pour out to others as I pour into you."

By Beulah V. Cornwall

When I read this I could not help but think of me, the young woman so
confused, so proud, so lost..Then the master found me, he picked me
up and said you sure are a dirty mess, and bound for hell where all
lost sinners go.
Then he said I have the answer to all your problems, just invite me into
your heart and life, and I will show you how you can become bright, and
shiny, and full of life.
Yes the Master picked me up, cleaned me up, shined me so I shown as
light itself. He cleaned out my mouth, he put a new robe of righteousness
upon me., and called me his beautiful child. Now that change is something
only the master of creation could do. He put my feet in high places, and he
put love in my heart, to serve him and others, what a difference the master
made in my life, just like the old rugged pitcher, rough, and stained, and ugly,
the master cleaned it up, sanded the rough edges off, removed the stains and
made a beautiful servant for him. What a wonderful thing to be found by the
master. I hope you have a great Saturday, and sing his praises for he has
done in your life.

Pray in the Spirit
Ephesians 6:18 "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit,
and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints."
Paul is asking believers to pray consciously recognizing that the Spirit given
them when they came to Christ (Eph. 1:13) gives them direct access to God
to pray what is on their heart,and to intercede for knowledge, power, and
boldness for others. Put in cornbread English, the Spirit who lives inside us,
empowers our prayers, interceding directly to the heart of God, enabling our
prayers to have powerful results! So wonderful to go to the Father first hand,
and know he hears me. Praise his name, and praise his ways, they are the right
ways.
We are studying prayer in our SS class, and I am finding more and more
verses to study on, I am excited about the class, and pray with me for the girls
and that we can build a godly class in all ways, that new girls will join in, and
that we all will grow in grace. Thanks for all your support here, I so appreciate
the words of encouragement you give, love to each one of you. ♥

See No Evil, Speak No Evil, Hear No Evil

We spent the day down at the waterfront in St Marys, GA, with friends, it had been a while since we had seen each other, they used to be members of our church in Woodbine, GA when my husband was Pastor there. Such a joy to meet up with old
friends and have such a special time in the lord.

We are all kinda crazy and have lots of fun when we are together, the lord seen fit to move them down to Florida, and they are a blessing to those down there now, but every so often they get up our way. Godly friends are so important, and while we were being silly we had this photo taken, but silliness aside, so much truth in what you see in this picture. It is a fact, we need to see no evil, you say well I never go any where where evil is, lol do not kid yourself, if you have a TV you are bringing evil right into your own home, the commercials are evil, they are exposing more and more personal things each day, it makes me sick to see them advertising Bra's what ever happen to modesty? What kind of woman will stand in front of a camera in her bra and let others see her.
Luke 11:34  The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.
Mark 9:47  And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:
(See No Evil).

Speak no Evil, what kind of communication comes out of your mouth? Is it bringing glory to God, or is it something the world is saying, or off the wall, having a double meaning, so many times I hear women talking, and wonder why are they discussing this sort of thing. Lots of times it is not bad or not cussing, but is surely is not bringing glory to God, are yo talking about another? Or are you saying geese, that kind of slang to me is just as bad as cussing, you must think the cuss words before you can say the slang for them. So lets s be careful what comes out of our mouth, let it always be something to uplift others, to bring glory to the one we serve, Jesus. Let not evil communication be found in your mouth. Matthew 5:37  But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
1Peter 3:10  For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:
Let us learn from James 3:1-10 to keep our mouth under control, in all things.
(Speak No Evil)

Let ask now what do we hear? What is being pumped into our minds through our ears? I know some places we go into the music is so loud you cannot hear yourself think, if the music has a upbeat to it, before long you are tapping your toes or nodding your head, stay away from places like that, Goodwill in our town is like that, we stopped going there just because of the loud, rock music they play.
Remember the kids song oh be careful little ears what you hear, there's a father up above and he's looking down in love...Yes he sees everything you are doing, everything you may think you are doing in secret, our Father sees, he is watching 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, he does not go on vacation, he does not sleep, he is watching over us even when we are sleeping, to us that are doing good, that is a blessing to know we are cared for and watched over constantly, but to those who are doing wrong, it makes them look around and feel uncomfortable. We need to make sure what comes out of our mouth, that it will be pleasing to the Fathers ear, let us not use vain words, let us protect our ears, that we do not hear evil about others, or we do not hear any thing that would not be pleasing to God.
Luke 11:28  But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it. (Hear No Evil)
May we live to the lord, may we speak, hear, and see as unto to him, may all things that come out of our mouth bring honor and glory to our lord Jesus Christ. It is not about us, or what we can do or cannot do, we are all sinners saved by grace, may we act like Christ, and wear the name of Christian proudly, and always bring honor to him. God bless you and thank you for reading my ramblings today, it was on my heart when I seen this photo, had to write it down or bust, have a great day.
