Saturday Collage

The project we finished last evening, getting our bags
filled for the kids Sunday, we will have a little Christmas program for them, then give
out these little bags of goodies,
I know they will love it.

The wonderful love of my life ready to bite into some corn, we hand picked it last Spring, and it is still delicious, just remove from the Freezer and wal-la we have fresh corn on the cob.

What is in a name?
Isa 9:6 "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace".

There is so very much in a name if that name is Jesus. We could add and add to those list of names for Jesus also, he is my beloved, he is my everlasting, he is my Saviour and He is my best friend. Have a very blessed Saturday.

I hope y'all are having a great month! It's hard to believe Christmas is just one week away.

THE U IN JESUS

Before U were thought of or time had begun,
God stuck U in the name of His Son..
And each time U pray, you'll see it's true,
You can't spell out JesUs and not include U.

You're a pretty big part of His wonderful name,
For U, He was born; that's why He came.
And His great love for U is the reason He died.
It even takes U to spell crUcified.

Isn't it thrilling and splendidly grand
He rose from the dead, with U in His plan?
The stones split away, the gold trUmpet blew,
And this word resUrrection is spelled with a U.

When JesUs left earth at His Upward ascension,
He felt there was one thing He just had to mention.
"Go into the world and tell them it's true
That I love them all - Just like I love U."

So many great people are spelled with a U,
Don't they have a right to know JesUs too?
It all depends now on what U will do,
He'd like them to know,
But it all starts with U.

A friend sent this to me today, and I really liked it so thought I would share with my wonderful blogger friends.
Here we are just 10 days from Christmas, and am all finished with my shopping here. That is a rarity for sure, I did all mine online this year, it was fun and easy.

It is still really cold here, low of 19° this morning, but it is suppose to warm up after tomorrow. I made home made fudge with walnuts in it today, and the cookie dough for Christmas cookies, I will make them tomorrow.
I use the old Hershey Chocolate recipe for my fudge, and a really old recipe for roll out Christmas cookies, I know they will be good, and I already sampled the fudge, lol, yep..

Luke 2:1  And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.

2 (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)

3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.

4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)

5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.

6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.

7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

8  And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.

16 And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.

17 And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.

18 And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.

19 But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.

20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.
