Wonderful Wednesday

Well it has been some week here, Last Saturday my dh preached another funeral, he give an invitation and 10 precious souls were saved, Sunday was a wonderful, and two young boys were saved, then Monday he went and visited a man we been praying for since we first move here in 1997, he asked the man are you ready to get this settled? The man said yes with tears flowing down his face, he was gloriously saved, I am just thrilled at all the souls that have been saved lately.
My husband is healing well, and although his strength is not back full yet God gives him the grace to keep on keeping on, teaching, preaching and being the avid soul winner he always has been, God sure is good, and I ask that you pray for a dear friend of ours, he has Kidney cancer, Johnny Campbell, he is a well know Evangelist too goes by Johnny the Baptist, he had many hard decisions to make, and this sure is not a easy road to travel.
I have been doing pretty good too, working in our garden and teaching the teen girls at church, I have a few online ministries too I work at, getting the word out that is what it is all about, time is running short and we must be a witness wherever we go, the world is getting worse and worse and the only light in it is the light that shines from within God's people.
I am excited about today being prayer meeting night too, we always have prayer before services too, I do enjoy this, I have the bulletins ready with new prayer request too.
So is your Wednesday wonderful, if not look to the lord, he will give you something real special.
Do have a blessed day, and remember Jesus loves you and so do I. ♥

Wonderful Wednesday

Good Morning on this 7th day of March, wow time is flying by,  It is lovely today, warmer and the sun is shining bright,  these days are good. Our garden is doing really good, potatoes are topping, so good, onions are getting bigger daily too, should have some wonderful strawberry's soon, lots on my plants. My watermelons are popping up too, and beets, just too much to talk about. You see this photo of Lilacs, we used to have the bushes all around our house in Michigan, they give off such a wonder smell, the whole yard smelled sweet like them, oh I miss them, I tried raising in Flordia when there but it died, I was very sad too, not sure if here in GA would do good or not, we are pretty much the same climate as where we were in Fl.

Tonight is prayer meeting and I do believe we are good to go tonight, praise the lord, reminds me of a little chorus we sing.  I'll Praise Your Name Lord.

I'll praise your name lord, and sing your song, I'll praise your name lord, my whole life long, I'll praise your name lord, til I get home, I'll praise your name lord and sing you song.

Then usually would sing Let Your Love flow through me.

Let your love flow through me, let your Love flow through me, make me a blessing lord where ever I may be. Keep me pure keep me clean so that you may be seen, let your love, let your love flow through me.

I hope your Wednesday is a good one, and some one will see Jesus in you today.
Be blessed and be a blessing, May God bless you real good.

Purple Passion

Well we had a good day yesterday, we both liked the new doctor, he is very thorough and did complete examines on us both, we spent well over two hours with him between the both of us, me first then Chuck.
He did give Chuck a shot and a strong liquid antibiotic; he give me a good high dose antibiotic too, hope it will kick this out of us both, I feel still bad, no energy, and today it is drizzly outside so always makes me feel even worse, lol been a lazy day for me.

We just ate breakfast and are some what achy feeling. We stopped by the Cancer Care Unit to have them all sign his mask, he is saving it, as a reminder how vulnerable we all are in the flesh, how anything can strike at any time to any of us, no matter how good of health we are in, it may all be lost in a matter of minutes, to keep focused on the lord and know it is all him, all we do must be to please him.
It has really awakened us to how fragile life is, and how we can only live day to day like it is our last.

It has been a long 7 weeks, and has wore on both of us, my immune system is low any how from the RA, and now his is from the radiation treatments, so we must be careful where we go and who we are around, I so wish that those at church that are sick with colds, sore throats would stay home when ill, instead of coming and sharing with us all, most get over a cold in a few days, us with bad immune systems it takes a very long time and can turn in to pneumonia, the pastors need to announce that those who are sick to stay home, to keep a lookout for all the brothers and sisters, not just thinking of ones self. Regularly exhorting us all to extend hospitality towards one another, and to care for the elderly in the church family, and to use common sense and stay away from church when we have colds etc so that those who are vulnerable are not put at risk.

Well I am tired, so will go rest more, I have rambled on long enough too, love you all, and be blessed, be a blessing to those around you, you have been such an encouraging me in prayer.  We may not have tomorrow. So let us love each other today, and love those around us with all we have within us. (That is Christ that lives in all believers)

Blessed by his love, Barbara  ♥

Wonderful Wednesday

Well today is the second day of November, a month in which we turn our eyes upon Jesus, and give thanks for all he has done throughout the year, I love this time of year, not just the turning of the leaves, or the cool temperatures but the fact that many are remembering how much God has did for them. May we never forget
and never cease to give him all the glory and praise for
what he has did for us. I love that there are so very many scriptures that sing praises to our lord. Isaiah 42:8 "I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images". Our Lord is a jealous God, and will not  share his glory with any one, if we try and take any glory from him we shall see the anger of the lord. Let us sing his praises

all this month and see how many various verses we can find that sing his praise, and gives thanks to the lord.

As we all stay busy, I know we do get around to the computer as much as before, I am sorry, I do not post very much, I have just finished up several more salvation bracelets I will let the girls give them to the Missionaries tonight, Sunday will be a full day, and with much going on here for preparation for Thanksgiving and having a house full, seems not much time left, and the older I get the slower I become too, giggles, I did get my laundry finished yesterday, we went down to the Island and it was way too cold to even spend any time there, so NO fish.
I have made up song books for our Junior church, card stock on front and back with a huge logo of singing kids on front, we have about 15 songs and going to teach them each one, I remember the kids songs I learned as a child, one stick with me especially because I used to sing it to my daddy, and point my finger at him, when it came to are you ready when Jesus comes. He was not at the time, and I knew it.
"Two shall be together grinding at the mill, two shall be together sleeping peace be still, one shall be taken the other left behind, will you be ready when Jesus comes". it is biblical too, I found it one day in my reading and got very excited to see it in the Bible. I hope you have a wonderful month of November and

your home is filled with lots of good smelling food, spices, and a family that loves and appreciates all you do for them. God bless you my blogging friends.

Wonderful Wednesday

It has been a while since I posted, and I have been meaning almost
daily to come in and update, I am feeling better, and my dh
neck is able to function again, it was a long week of illness for us
both, and I am happy it is over. Now I ask for prayer for my
husband again. He seen the doctor yesterday, and he has a legion
on his throat, he will go in for a biopsy on the 14th of Oct, so if
you would please keep him in prayer, and that it will be just torn
muscle from preaching all these years, but always praying God's
magnificent will be done also. Thank you a head of time.

Well besides that we are doing well, and staying very busy doing
the work that God has called us to. I had bought some beef ribs
last shopping trip, and wanted to make short ribs and rice like my
mom used to make, well I did not have a clue, so asked my sister
she had never made them either, and I tried to find a recipe, well
I could not find a recipe that seemed like I wanted either, so I just
went ahead and made them the way I thought they should be, well
they were out of this world, and my husband just loved them, I will
be making them again soon, so here is what I did, and the recipe
to make them yourself.

1 pound of Beef Short Ribs
2 Tablespoons Canola Oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1 medium Onion
4 Beef bullion Cubes
5 cups of water
and 1 cup of rice

Now I put about two tablespoons of Canola oil in  pot
and browned and seared the beef on all sides, salted to
taste, then I  added the onion, and let it tender, when it
was ready Iadded the 5 cups of water, then when boiling
I added bullion cubes. It simmered for about 2 hours, I took
out the meat, poured off the water,(saving) and then added back
two cups of the broth and the 1 cup of rice, added
the beef back to mixture, and let it cook down til the rice
was done. WAHLAH it was scrumptious, best meal
ever, I had french bread with it, and some slaw, my dh
just raved about it. SO I have a new dish to serve often.
I hope try it, and make it for your family, they will love
it I am sure.
I have enough broth to make some noodles too. Sorry
I did not take any photos of them.
Hope you all have a wonderful week, and I hope to be
on the computer more now. God bless you real good.

Have a Wonderful Day, Barbara
