Simple Joys Saturday (click to go to Jan's)
We often think of simplicity as just sitting and relaxing, it can be just walking in a area that is new to us, or in a place of serenity, stillness or quietness. I love the Toccoa Falls it is such a lovely place and just so serene, you can walk and hear the falls and it touches every sense of your being.
A meandering stream flows through the lower part of the 1,000-acre, wooded campus from the base of this spectacular 186 foot high waterfall. The Falls are a popular tourist attraction and campus retreat. There is so much beauty in our wonderful State of Georgia, especially in Northern Georgia, the mountains, the streams, the water falls, these are located in north Georgia in Lumpkin, Banks, Dawson, Union, Fannin, Gilmer, Rabun, Towns, Stephens, Habersham, Murray, White, Walker, Pickens and Dade Counties. Many of the 125 waterfalls shown have maintained trails and observation platforms, while others are difficult to reach. Still others are on private property and not open to the public. Directions are included for the falls on public property. Some of the most beautiful in the world.
Isaiah 32:17 "And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever". Let us close out this post with thinking of things of God, his marvellous creations, the beauty he has given for our eyes to enjoy, let each of enjoy the quietness of his world.

Those Were the Day My Friend
Those were the days, spent sitting in the depot watching the trains go by, what fun, and you
know I live near a little town Called Folkston, GA that still does that, that is what the photos
are above. Folks come from all over the Country to sit and watch our trains go by, it is called
The "Folkston Funnel" is a double track which serves as the main artery for railroad traffic into
and out of Florida.
From the viewing platform in Folkston, visitors can see trains passing on their way to and from
Jacksonville, Florida in the south, and a split north of town where trains go west to Waycross,
Georgia, and north to Savannah.
The platform features lights, ceiling fans, and a scanner to listen in to radio traffic between trains.
Adjacent to the platform are picnic tables, a grill, and a new restroom facility for our guests.
Trains can also be enjoyed from the grounds of the restored Folkston depot, just diagonally
across the tracks from the platform.
A recent visitor from Tampa told of seeing "41 trains or engine movements and units from seven different railroads." And rated our viewing site as "fantastic!"
The trains travelling through Folkston carry automobiles, coal, gravel, phosphate, grain, molten sulphur, and orange juice. Several Amtrak trains pass daily, including the Auto Train.
Most times we go to Folkston we get stopped by one of those trains, now then when you are in
a hurry it is not so fun, lol I watch earnestly, and think...When will they all pass. But is is a good
place to be, and in the South on of the most visited, if you come to the area, it is where Okefenokee Swamp is too, very interesting place, Well guess that is it for this visit, have a great day tomorrow, and God bless you real good.

Wednesday Wonderful Words of Life
A Friend from church has passed on, and today is his funeral, we are going to celebrate the home
going of this man, as Christians we know he is in a better place, and although he will be missed, and his dear wife will have times of great sorrow, we have the assurance that we will meet him again, in heaven with our lord. The scripture we use is this
Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. We know when our eyes close in death, that we will open them in heaven.
So with this I will leave you today to ponder on these word to our favorite song we sing at many funerals through the years, It is soothing, it is peace giving, and it is appropiate for this time. God bless and do pray for the McInvale family.
I CALL IT HOME
SOMEWHERE BEYOND THE GRAVE, THERE IS A LAND
WHERE JESUS WENT TO PREPARE, BY HIS OWN HAND
AND FOR THE SAVED BY GRACE, THERE IS A RESTING PLACE
AND IN A FEW MORE DAYS, IT WILL BE OURS.
CHORUS
SOME CALL IT HEAVEN.. I CALL IT HOME
SOME CALL IT DREAMIN.. LET ME DREAM ON
SOME CALL IT PARADISE.. SOMEWHERE BEYOND THE SKIES
SOME CALL IT HEAVEN.. I CALL IT HOME
SOME SAY THAT YOU CAN'T GO, BACK HOME AGAIN
THINGS WILL NOT EVER BE, AS GOOD AS THEY'VE BEEN
IV'E GOT GOOD NEWS FOR YOU, WHEN HEAVEN COMES INTO TO VIEW
ONE GLIMPSE AND YOU'LL KNOW THE BEST... IS YET TO COME
CHORUS
SOME CALL IT HEAVEN.. I CALL IT HOME
SOME CALL IT DREAMIN.. LET ME DREAM ON
SOME CALL IT PARADISE.. SOMEWHERE BEYOND THE SKIES
SOME CALL IT HEAVEN.. I CALL IT HOME

TASTY TUESDAY
Well it is Tasty Tuesday, and I normally post a good yummy recipe, I may later in this post, but wanted to share my Lily with you it has 3 blooms on that stalk now, with others popping out, so pretty, I am excited to see how many it will end up with, hoping some of the other plants will bloom like this on, but no sign of that happening yet. Here Is the Bloom today.
One of my hens Esther, keeps getting out, and yesteday I found out where she has been going...
She has been going in the shed, where I keep the hay, and laying her eggs in there, here is a photo
of them, just remarkable how chickens find things, and odd places they lay their eggs. I am not sure they will be good, not even sure how old they are, I am really thinking it was this week though.
Okay now for the recipe for Tuesday, it is one of my favorites, and most all folks love this.
Bowtie Pizza
1 1/2 to 2 cups cooked bowtie pasta
2 eggs, beaten
2/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup pasta or pizza sauce
1/2 pound cooked Italian sausage or pepperoni slices
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions: Whisk together eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Add cooked pasta to egg mixture and stir to coat. Pour into pie dish sprayed with Pam or buttered. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Spread pasta sauce over baked pasta, then sprinkle sausage or pepperoni slices on top. Top with cheese. Return to oven for 10 minutes. Let cool, then slice and serve
My friend sent me this today in an email, hope you enjoy, so very much truth in it.
The Weaver
My life is just a weaving
Between my Lord and me.
I cannot choose the colors
He weaves so skillfully.
Sometimes He weaveth sorrow
And I in foolish pride
Forget He sees the upper
And I the underside.
Not 'til the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly
Will God unroll the canvas
And explain the reasons why-
The dark threads are as needful,
In The Weaver's skillful hands
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern He has planned.
