Sharing It Saturday


I had a great day with a dear friend yesterday, friends are so very important to us, and I am so blessed to have so many that I love and love me. We even ate some our wonderful Cauliflower, it was so good much better and sweeter than that you buy in the store.


I am sharing today some photos we too last night of that beautiful moon, wow, God sure has created some awesome things, then given us the eyes to enjoy them, I am so very blessed and so thankful that God love me, and he shares his kingdom with me, sharing with you today some of my photos that bring a smile to me.

Wonderful Wednesday

It has been a wonderful week, many things going on, we had a great service Sunday, and then Monday I went and had a routine blood drawn, I am on some medications that need to have tests every 3 months.
It has been all good for years, and gets to be bothersome at times, being I have to be fasting.


I have been getting a study together for our Mother's Day Banquet, they have asked me to speak, and I am very nervous, but then I always am, being in the lime light is not for me, I like doing behind the scenes, I guess from being a Pastor's wife for so many years, I always was behind him, and in most cases, except for a few exceptions, I do teach the teen girls at church ,and used to teach our ladies SS class when husband was pastor.   So keep me in your prayers, I thought I had the lesson the lord wanted then he scrambled it all and I knew it was not what he wanted me to teach on. So started again, on being beautiful for Thee. I pray that is it and as I study more things come to mind.


My middle daughter gave me this rose plant about 7 years ago for a Mother's day gift, I love smell of this gorgeous red rose, and now I have several all over our yard, this one usually gives a few blossoms a year but always gorgeous in the process. 


Our weather here is very warm and going into the 90's later on this week, our garden is doing great, and we are picking green beans and potatoes, he got an early start, and soon my Cauliflower will be ready for picking too. Here are a couple photos of our garden, both front and back, we have two small ones instead of one large one, easier to plant and keep up.

So that is our wonderful garden and if it does well we will have

Well the appointment with our oncologist went great, good news, he has healed very well the doc said, said he has done so much better than most patients, Chuck said AMEN thats my God...He asked if his voice comes and goes or is hoarse, nope, he still preaches strong and sings and all he ever did, the hand of God touched him no doubt in my mind. He still tires easy but is even getting stronger, praise God for his marvelous grace. Thank you all for praying so fervently for him.
God is still using him, He has led 12 folks to the lord in this past two weeks, praise God, and he will be preaching at our old church in Woodbine, GA tomorrow, Sunday, so anyone in that area come on and hear some good preaching.
I am doing pretty good, my arm is giving me a fit, not sure what it be but it hurts, will need to go get it checked out soon, part of getting older, just always something popping up.

Wonderful Wednesday 
















Well it has been some week here, Last Saturday my dh preached another funeral, he give an invitation and 10 precious souls were saved, Sunday was a wonderful, and two young boys were saved, then Monday he went and visited a man we been praying for since we first move here in 1997, he asked the man are you ready to get this settled? The man said yes with tears flowing down his face, he was gloriously saved, I am just thrilled at all the souls that have been saved lately.
My husband is healing well, and although his strength is not back full yet God gives him the grace to keep on keeping on, teaching, preaching and being the avid soul winner he always has been, God sure is good, and I ask that you pray for a dear friend of ours, he has Kidney cancer, Johnny Campbell, he is a well know Evangelist too goes by Johnny the Baptist, he had many hard decisions to make, and this sure is not a easy road to travel.
I have been doing pretty good too, working in our garden and teaching the teen girls at church, I have a few online ministries too I work at, getting the word out that is what it is all about, time is running short and we must be a witness wherever we go, the world is getting worse and worse and the only light in it is the light that shines from within God's people.
I am excited about today being prayer meeting night too, we always have prayer before services too, I do enjoy this, I have the bulletins ready with new prayer request too.

Sharing It Saturday, and WOW how inventive was this wonderful woman called Mother...


Stay at Home Mom is a generic term for a Research Associate in the field of Child 
Development and Human Relations:


A woman, renewing her driver's license at the County Clerk's office was asked by the woman recorder to state her occupation.


She hesitated, uncertain how to classify herself. "What I mean is," explained the recorder, "do you have a job or are you just a...?"
... 
"Of course I have a job," snapped the woman.


"I'm a Mom."


"We don't list 'Mom' as an occupation, "housewife covers it," said the recorder emphatically.


I forgot all about her story until one day..I found myself in the same situation, this time at our own Town Hall. The Clerk was obviously a career woman, poised, efficient and possessed of a high sounding title like, "Official Interrogator" or "Town Registrar." "What is your occupation?" she probed.


What made me say it? I do not know. The words simply popped out.


"I'm a Research Associate in the field of Child Development and Human Relations."


The clerk paused, ball-point pen frozen in midair and looked up as though she had not heard right. I repeated the title slowly emphasizing the most significant words. Then I stared with wonder as my pronouncement was written in bold, black ink on the official questionnaire.


"Might I ask," said the clerk with new interest, "just what you do in your field?"


Coolly, without any trace of fluster in my voice, I heard myself reply, "I have a continuing program of research, (what mother doesn't) in the laboratory and in the field, (normally I would have said indoors and out). I'm working for my Masters, (the whole darned family) and already have four credits (all daughters). Of course, the job is one of the most demanding in the humanities, (any mother care to disagree?) and I often work 14 hours a day, (24 is more like it). But the job is more challenging than most run-of-the-mill careers and the rewards are more of a satisfaction rather than just money."


There was an increasing note of respect in the clerk's voice as she completed the form, stood up and personally ushered me to the door.


As I drove into our driveway, buoyed up by my glamorous new career, I was greeted by my lab assistants -- ages 13, 7, and 3. Upstairs I could hear our new experimental model, (a 6 month old baby) in the child development program, testing out a new vocal pattern. I felt I had scored a beat on bureaucracy! And I had gone on the official records as someone more distinguished and indispensable to mankind than "just another Mom."
Motherhood! What a glorious career! Especially when there's a title on the door.


Does this make grandmothers "Senior Research Associates in the field of Child Development and Human Relations" and great grandmothers Executive Senior Research Associates"? I think so!!! I also think it makes Aunts "Associate Research Assistants.

~Wonderful Weekend~

So tell me how was your weekend?? 


We actually felt normal all weekend, horray praise God. 


Saturday I baked and cooked wonderful BBQ ribs they were so yummy too, just as they were done, some friends we had not seen in a while come by, so we were delighted we had dinner ready for them to join us, had a great time of fellowship. 
Oh yeah no Sauerkraut, had FF, carrots, and cukes with onion and vinegar, good meal and such a good time. 


Yesterday was great, I taught SS Jr girls and Teen girls we had a nice class, and all were so attentive, praise God I love it when they really listen, ,my dear husband was able to teach the men's class again too, and had a wonderful surprise he preached last night, was so good, about unity in the church, our church is very good about everyone working together, but some actually have brawls in the church, not good at all, everyone has some kind of heated moment but not constant bickering back and to, God is certainly not in the middle of that. It was his first time since his surgery too to preach, amen... 


So we had a good, tiring, and wonderful weekend; God's hand hath provided. No better way to start out a new week, than to be in the house of God doing what he called you to do. Please pray for some sick in our church, they need a healing hand upon them, several have some really serious problems too, pray if it be the will of God to heal them, he will, thank you a head of time, hope you all had a great weekend too, today is day of rest, after being sick for a while it feels good to feel good, amen.

He Is Not Here He Is Risen

My Blessings to each of you dear ladies that come and visit  my blog, we have a bond of fellowship online.
You all make this possible, I have many dear women online, and I thank God for each of you. I pray you have a wonderful Resurrection Day, have much love with church family, family and friends, God bless you.  

I was thinking about the various sounds I hear each morning when I step outside.
The birds chirping, the rooster up the road crowing, leaves being stirred by the squirrels and armadillos, so many sounds.

I often wonder what the sounds might have been on the day of Christ's Crucifixion.
I believe I can hear weeping, nails being hammered into the wood, and bodies of the three crosses. There was some shouting from men who were gambling and yelling over who would get Christ's robe as they threw the dice.
As the men sat in a circle around a fire, you could hear its crackling. A dog might of been barking, and maybe even a cat went howling through the city.
At Last, as Jesus gave up, and drew his last breath, you could hear him cry out, in a very loud voice, "Father Forgive them, they know not what they do!"
As Easter approaches let us all recall what happened  on the day Christ was crucified and then arouse three days later.
Were there sounds you could hear to associate you to that time in history?
Could you hear as well as see the stones being moved away from his grave? Could you hear Martha and Mary crying? How about Peter getting all upset over there being nothing in the tomb?
This special occasion has many sounds you didn't hear on any other day at that time of the season. As we get to Easter Sunrise Service, look into the sky as the sun begins to come over the trees. What do you hear? What do you see?
Again a very happy Easter to you, may the resurrection of Jesus be as real to you today and when you first heard  what he did for you. Now tell others, and be blessed.
