Magnificent Monday

We had an awesome day at church Sunday, brother Mike/Youth Director, filled the pulpit and preached a much needed message, how will young Christians ever grow and learn how to live a separated life if they do not hear it from the pulpit?? Wonder why the Christians blend in so well with the world? Ask yourself when is the last time you heard a good message on apparel or men having short hair, or no body piercings or not to destroy your body with tattoo's??? Yeah that is all part of living a separated life, being Christ like, I cannot imagine Christ with tats all over his body, or with rings in his body, friend, let us come out from among them, 2Co 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,:. THUS SAITH THE LORD...

Good day, the weather is as changeable as a woman, lol (*giggles*)after almost 80 it was 60 yesterday, and today about that too, we had two awesome messages yesterday, and all about the same thing, separation as a Christian, can the world tell you apart from the world? Can they look at you and see the way you are that you have something different? Good questions to ask our self, I know it really got me thinking, how some times I really need to work on my attitude, and wonder if Christ would react the way I do at times, more than likely he would not.
Today, I have a strange pain in my stomach, on the way to church yesterday I had a bad cramping in the muscle of my side/stomach area, it hurt so bad and I could not work it out, had to stop the car get out and walk around a tad, now today it is hurt in that same spot. I mean if it is not one thing it is another, this old age is not so fun, I am wondering if the Magnesium I am taking now is effecting those muscles, think?

I keep thinking on these scriptures and just cannot get it out of my head..

1Jo 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
This is a promise with a condition, sometimes we forget that with some promises there are conditions, the if we keep his commandments and do things pleasing in his sight...We must be pleasing to him, or we can just forget all these promises, we cannot live the way WE want and expect God to bless us, we often wonder why things are not coming to past, well maybe we need to check our motives out, and see if it is pure and honorable in the sight of God. Just my thoughts here, and maybe now the verses will stop. ;
Be blessed sisters you are a blessing to me.

My heavens it is the 10th of January already, been on the go so much, been sick, and starting to feel better today, just got my hair washed and showered and kicking it back the rest of this day, looking forward to church tomorrow. We had a soul saved last Sunday so praying more will be saved tomorrow, it is so good to be able to go worship freely and openly still, it may not always be that way.

My husband had the MRI and we are waiting for the hospital to call with times for Pre-Opt stuff, then the surgery, will be in a couple weeks I imagine, waiting is always the hard part. Keep him in your prayers please.

I fixed an awesome dinner last night, and the first I could actually taste in a while, with this cold of over 2 weeks, went from my chest to my head, backwards, right. None the less it was yummy, Scalloped Potatoes and center Cut pork chops in it, then had fresh turnip greens from the garden, and of course Apple sauce, pork is not good to me without apple sauce.

What was some favorite verses you have read lately? Please share them with us, also are you reading through the bible this year? I have read through it several times, but just wanting to pick and choose now and really study as God lays something on my heart. I love Isaiah and study it intensely.

Well it did not take long to bring you up to day, so until next time, be blessed and be a blessing.

Put all your eggs in one basket, then give the basket to God.

Have a blessed Friday

We spent a wonderful New Years Day with the folks at Peoples Baptist Church, it was a really good service and brother Chuck even got to preach for a while, I felt right at home, and my cup was filled.

Yesterday...January 2nd, 2014 hummmmmm I know I have to go get my medication the doctor called into the pharmacy, it seems my RA is acting up again, and is flaring, so he called in a prescription, I also need to get some dog food, these dogs are sure eating a lot these days, they have ordered a new computer for our car too, ugh..yeah a 2012 Jeep and the computer went out on it, shows we have engine trouble all the time, not sure about this automobile at all, wonder what it will do down the road, I shudder to think, guess soon as we can we will trade it in on a newer model. I am happy the warranty is still coving bumper to bumper.

Today January 3rd...Chuck has an appointment Tuesday with his back surgeon, I covet your prayers for him, and that same day will take the car in for its new computer, praying it has no problems before then. I am still stuffed up, but some what better, I am going to make some Chocolate Chip Cookies, I just have to have some cookies around, I got the nick name cookie monster when I was younger, well I still am.
It dropped into the low 30's here last night, I know compared to the Northern parts of the country that is warm, but not here in the damp SE Georgia area, very cold and very damp. Not staying though I love that about this area, it gets  cold then gets warm, that is why I stay sick I think too.

Both my dogs are cozy as can be inside, cute as can be. Zoie Michelle, and Goldie Lee

How about some scripture to start this year off with..Today's scripture: James 2:23 "And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God."

It would be so nice if we could go to the beaches and everyone looked like this, what ever happened to modesty? Okay I hope you have a very blessed day.

HAPPY NEW YEAR FRIENDS

I was in bed by 10 pm just too tired to stay up until midnight, I knew the new year would come in if I was up or not.
I am up now, cinnamon rolls in the oven sipping my freshly brewed coffee.
Now I have beans on and planing, lima beans over rice, with mustard greens and cornbread, yummy, sounds really good to me.

So what will you do this first day of the new year?
We will attend church tonight, and praise the lord for another year to serve him.

Yes Christmas 2013 is a thing of the past now, and nothing left here but memories, looking forward to this new year, and seeing what God makes me marvel at this year. His abundant love and patience just overwhelms me at times, I am so thankful for such a loving Saviour. Have a very blessed New Year.

Busy Weekend

We had an unusual Christmas Eve and Christmas, but really good and made some new memories. Chuck had his MRI yesterday and had my blood drawn for my doctor the 11th. Stopped by my daughters and it was good to spend some time with her, I sure do not see my family enough. My son Jim having the PET scan today at 10 am so I ask you to keep that in prayer. Pray for us as we will be traveling Sunday to Blackshear where Chuck will preach all services. I appreciate all the prayers you all have prayed for me and my family, it sure makes a difference, I could not live from day to day without my lord taking such good care of me, even in the times of storm he is there, he is my help, he is my shield, he is my strength, thank you lord for being my friend, constant companion and lord of my life.

Just got home from the Vet, Zoie was itching bad and has an ear infection, she got her allergy shot and some stuff put in her ears, it is suppose to adhere to the ear and heal, not to be washed out for two weeks, hope it helps, she sure been scratching her ears.

Getting things ready to go for the day tomorrow, will not be on at all, will be an awesome day and I am always thrilled to hear my sweet beloved preach, we will sing too, and I am coughing some, had a nose bleed earlier, so pray for me too, always something here it seems.

So have a very blessed day, and wonderful day of worship.

Wishing You A Merry Christmas

MARY'S SONG

(Luke 1:45-55)
45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.
46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,
47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
48 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
49 For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.
50 And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation.
51 He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.
52 He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree.
53 He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away.
54 He hath holpen his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy;
55 As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever.

As I wish you all a very Merry Christmas, I just want to take time and tell each of my friends how important Jesus is, He is the reason for the season, he is the best gift you will ever receive. John 3:16 " for God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him, should not perish but have everlasting life",Make this Christmas the one you will always remember, accept him now.

A lot Going On

We had a good time yesterday baking cookies, and decorating them, just me and my honey, but it was a good time, we are going tonight to Saint Simon Island, looking at all the gorgeous Christmas lights.
Lots has been going on here too, please keep my eldest son Jim in your prayers, He has been sick quite a lot lately and they did a CAT scan because of all the problems he has, and they found a mass the size of a quarter on his lung, it is too close to the heart to do a biopse so they are going to do some kind of test that they injest something into the veins and if any cancer appears it will light up.
Please pray for God's will to be done, he has a lot of responsibility and is very needed, thank you ahead of time. He has an appointment Dec 27th for a PET scan, we will know more then.
Also my husband has decided to have a much needed back surgery, he will have an MRI Dec 26th, please keep him in your prayers too.

From the Levian collection at Jared Jewery Store I got an early Christmas present from my beloved..It is just breath taking, the chocolate diamonds. Never dreamed I would get a gorgeous ring as this one, and the photo does it no justice at all.  It is really breath taking, what a man he is always looking for ways to make me happy, I am not much of a jewelry person, but those Chocolate diamonds really spark my interest.

I hope you have a very Merry Christmas, may God bless you real good, and may we worship the King of Kings and Lord of Lords together for another year, let us sing his praises where ever we go. Be a blessing, and be blessed.

Too Long Away

Well hello my friends, it has been such a long time, we seem to stay busy, but I really want to get back into blogging again, I do love it, and I sure miss all my blogger friends.

I am just catching up here, sipping my Blonde light Star Bucks coffee that was sent by Stevie, my grand daughter, she knows we like it, so when she gets an abundance (they get two bags a week free to take home) she thinks of her Nana and sends some on.
It is very peaceful here today, not so cold, and just a sunny nice day in Georgia, love this type of day, when I was young I did not, it would of been so boring, but now, it is my kind of day.
What are you all doing today?
Whatever it is, have a very good one.

How has God blessed your day?
What are your plans today?
Who can we pray for today?
Church services for Christmas, what day?

Just a few minutes and I have to leave, so will wind this up for now, hope you have a wonderful Saturday and Sunday,  hope to be here more often.

~JUST IN TIME FOR FALL~

Cream of Celery Soup with Bacon

4 strips bacon
1 tablespoon butter
5 cups (loosely packed) chopped celery, stalks and tops
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh thyme
1 medium baking potato, peeled and cubed
2 cups vegetable or chicken stock
2 cups whole milk
salt and pepper

Lay the bacon in the bottom of a large stock pot or dutch oven. Cook over low heat for about 15 or 20 minutes, until crisp (cooking time will depend on how thick your bacon is). Remove and set aside on paper towels.
Add butter to the pot, increase the heat slightly, and add celery, onion, garlic, and thyme. Season well with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are soft, about 15 minutes.
Add the potato, stock, and milk to the pot and bring the mixture to a simmer. Cover and cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to keep the milk from forming a film, until potato is very soft.

Purée the soup with an immersion blender or by transferring it to a food processor or blender. Season to taste with salt (we added at least 2 or 3 more teaspoons) and pepper (about 1 teaspoon). Serve with cooked bacon crumbled on top.
makes 7 cups

Psalm 100:1    Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
2  Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
3  Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4  Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
5  For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

We just can never get enough of the beauty God has created for us. This sun coming up over Lake Seminole was breath taking, I just stand in awesome wonder of how majestic the things God created are. Yes indeed the Lord is good, and his mercy is everlasting...
We spent a few day at this lake fishing, and just relaxing, so much has happened in our lives in a short time, we needed to be away from the hustle and bustle of this life and relax and spend time with God away from all else, such a great place we had to do that too.
We both are doing well today...No problems but body parts not working well, but with age this comes, but also with age comes wisdom, from God, to see him as he is, and to make sure we worship in Spirit and truth. I do not blog much these days, but every now and then have the urge, that is why I have not deleted my blog, and the other blog when I find a good recipe I like to share with you other blogger's. So keep me in prayer, and know I am well and happy, and loving the lord.
