Happy New Year, I hope you all survived the Christmas rush, and the new year is upon you, ready or not...  We are and have been sick for the new year, I was not ready for this, guess it is the flu, being it has so many aspects, and already ran past the cold time. Keep us in your prayers please, hoping this will pass sooner than later this time.

Well do you want to share how your Christmas went? great, I will too. It was different, nothing earth shattering, but a really good time spent with friends and family, and God has been so good to us, and our family is such a blessing. We ate far too much, and traveled many miles to see our children, it used to be they all came here, so what happened...At any rate  we made our rounds from St Marys Georgia to Jacksonville, Florida, had a good time with all.

So it is a new year with new beginnings, and may we leave the past behind, and move on to today, we cannot undo anything we did last year, but we have control of today.. Use it wisely, let Christ lead you daily, and use his pattern for your life. He has it all written in the Bible, how to live each day, how to grow in Christ, even how to live well with others. Let us all grow into what Jesus wants us to be, so when others look at us, they see him. On that note I will leave you today, with a very Happy New Year and a God bless you real good.

OKAY HERE IT IS

Strange eh,  a white bloom on a pink plant... Thought I would share with you, I have never seen this, but I have it, and think it is pretty cool.

We had an awesome Christmas, so many blessings that I cannot even remember them all, we went to several churches too and that was special seeing our friends from all over this time of year.

Are you doing anything special for New Years Eve?  I wanted to find a watch night service, but did not find one in our area, I know some in Jacksonville, but that is too far to travel new years eve, too many drunks on the roads, and not wanting to start the new year off in any mishaps.

So that about does it for now. I pray all who read will have a very blessed new year, and put Christ first and for most in you life all year. May God bless you real good.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

I just want to say, Good Morning and  hope you have a very Merry Christmas..
This is my Christmas Cactus, It is over 20 years old, blooms this time every year,
simply gorgeous;I have took some of its leaves when they break off and have two other plants growing now, I noticed one of them has a white bloom coming out on it, (WHAT) yeah,
not sure what that is about but waiting until it is in full bloom then I will take a picture.

So tell me are you ready for the big day? We do not do much for Christmas since the kids all live in other states, but will go to my one daughters Christmas day, her and her family will be there, we will
take some of the bake goods I have been baking too.

The days are flying by, and seems there is not enough time in one day to get all done. Hope you all have a very blessed Christmas Holiday, and that everyone stays safe, and praise the lord for whom all blessing come from.

Lazy Monday, just kicking it back today, it was a busy day yesterday, Chuck preached at our church last night, such a blessing, I always love hearing him preach, touches my heart every time.. He preached last Sunday in a church in Blackshear, both services, such a great time of preaching, food and fellowship.  I was thinking how blessed I am, since I turned my life over to Christ I feel secure that any problem that arises he will help me with it...Let me tell you there is no problem too big for my God to handle, we have had many testings through the years and I know from experience God takes over when you let him, he will get you through whatever you are going through, whether it be a health problem, death of a loved one, financial need, just anything that arises in our life, he will be there to help you through. So pick up your cross and carry it proudly for the lord, Yep, try it you'll like it.

Have a very blessed Day, be happy in the Lord, rejoice and again he said rejoice...Philippians 4:4 "Rejoice in the lord always: and again I say, Rejoice".

(HAPPY THANKSGIVING)

Nothing like the month of November to remind us of all God has blessed us with, through out the year; Let us keep our minds on him, not the turkey, or the pies but what our blessed Saviour has done for us. He loved us to death, his death on that old rugged cross, he laid down his life for me, and for you. May we take a few minutes every day just to thank him.

Psalm 100:4-5 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures all generation. Blessings!

My heart just sings as I put all these verses of thanksgiving on my Face Book page, join with me and post your favorite verses of thanksgiving too, let us see how many we can get before Thanksgiving day, November is a month that we seem to focus more on being thankful, more than any other month, although we should be giving God our praise and thanks daily. So do post your verse in this post too, thank you and May God bless you and may we all be thankful for the very air we breath in.

I pray each of you have a wonderfully blessed Thanksgiving,  Do not eat too much.

It is amazing how fast the time is going, Thanksgiving will be here in just a week or so.
We are having family in for Thanksgiving, we bought a 23 pound Turkey the other day, I do the major of the cooking, and the kids bring sides, drinks and desserts, I am making an Watergate Salad though, think I will add t to my Love and a bite of Brownie page.

My husband is preaching a funeral today, the husband of one of our ladies in Woodbine Church, Chuck led him to the lord a few years ago, and after a year of illness he passed on, but praise God we will see him again. Keep the Allen Crews family in your prayers.

Guess What??? Give up, well lookie here. We already have our Christmas tree up, did not intend for it, but got a new pre-lit tree and wanted to make sure it worked. Pretty eh...

WelI am running late, need to go and get dressed, be blessed, and keep us in your prayers please.

It has turned cold in Georgia...I really love it though, good football weather. Loved the Florida Georgia game, Florida won, we have been Gator fans for ever, and happy to see them win over Georgia this year. My dear husband celebrating the win, giggles...

He really enjoyed this game...My great grandsons play foot ball too, they done good this year.

You can see I have my Christmas tree up already too, behind Chuck. It is early but we bought it new and put it up to see if it worked, it looked so pretty we decided to leave it up, still have to put the icicles on it..But it will be up for Thanksgiving, we have the kids come here. Lots to look forward to.

Going to be a busy month, but thank God I am able to do all that needs to be done. I praise the lord for allowing me the health to keep going.

I pray you have a wonderful Thanksgiving day, and that you will give thanks daily for all God has given you. Be blessed, and do be a Blessing.

Psalm 69:30  I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with Thanksgiving.

WOW what an awesome Sunday we had, whew I am still excited..We had a young couple come forward, they had been separated and been through counseling and now back together and want to serve God again, it was so good seeing this.. We had 60 folks saved through the fair ministry through the church, and we will begin to visit them and see if we can get them baptized and joining the church, just such wonderful reports, I am so happy to be part of this.

Okay now for my notes on the Pastor's sermon today.
Drinking from the well John 4:27-39
Being a soul winner, give others that same living water you have. (Jesus)
Tell everyone about the one who has eternal life, fulfill God's will, he went to the cross for our sins, we are to carry on the work that Christ started, let us serve happily and finish the race we started when being saved.  We are all called to take the Gospel to a lost and dying world.

The Harvest will not wait (just ask the farmers) today is the day of salvation, now is the accepted time; will you take the gospel that was the heart of Jesus out today. Will you hear God say well done thy good and faithful servant.
Don't just hear the Gospel take the Gospel to the world around you. If we do not tell them who will? Certainly not the world around us.It is our responsibility to do this, it is the Great Commission Christ himself give to us..

I tell you it really touched both of us, we do not go near enough any more, we say it is too far, it cost too much gas, well I think my God will meet our need if we do his will.

So that about does it for now, we have had some awesome weather here in Coastal Georgia, and I am loving it, cool at night and warm in the day, wow seems just too good of weather.  Now I hope you have a great  rest of week. See you again soon.

It has been wonderful here, finally cool, really  good fishing weather, we went and caught about 25 small ones. It was a good day, had lots of fun me and my hubby.

So many are going through illness, and pain, and they seem to be slipping away from God, instead of drawing near to him. Here are some thoughts today to help if you are going through hard times, or if your faith is fading.

When God saved us, he saved our soul, the soul is what will go to heaven when you die. The flesh never gets saved, it is the same old flesh we had before salvation, unruly, and being made to be put under control. What ever we feed the most will be most dominate, if we are not praying, reading our bible, being a witness, we become weak in the Spirit, you see that is the only way the soul becomes strong and can fight the Devil;  praying is us talking to God, reading the Bible is God talking to us, witnessing is us speaking for God. It seems when we are only feeding the flesh, that is when Satan can have a hay day with us, the only way to live an undefeated life is to make Jesus lord over all, he has the power to come against Satan, we are weak in the flesh but strong through Jesus Christ. He is the only way, John 3:16 all of John 3 is a great chapter to refer to, to ponder upon and claim the victory over the Devil. All this is said in much love and concern for those who are having a hard time keeping their eyes on Christ.

I am sharing this with you, Psalm 51 it is my go to chapter, some times we get busy with life and doing for others, and get a way from God, Like David I have to run back to him, and I have read this chapter so many times the pages in my bible are thin, it has helped me greatly time after time, just crying out unto the lord pleading with him to forgive me, to restore the joy of his salvation. Do you remember the joy you had when you first accepted Jesus as your Saviour? Get back there and plead with the lord, try this , read, reread then claim and make it your special chapter. Trust me I have used it, and it brings you close to the lord.

Psalm 51:12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

2Co 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

My Plight These Days

Brenda was almost halfway to the top of the tremendous granite cliff. She was standing on a ledge where she was taking a breather during this, her first rock climb. As she rested there, the safety rope snapped against her eye and knocked out her contact lens. 'Great', she thought. 'Here I am on a rock ledge, hundreds of feet from the bottom and hundreds of feet to the top of this cliff, and now my sight is blurry.' She looked and looked, hoping that somehow it had landed on the ledge. But it just wasn't there.

She felt the panic rising in her, so she began praying. She prayed for calm, and she prayed that she may find her contact lens.

When she got to the top, a friend examined her eye and her clothing for the lens, but it was not to be found. Although she was calm now that she was at the top, she was saddened because she could not clearly see across the range of mountains. She thought of the bible verse 'The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth.'

She thought, 'Lord, You can see all these mountains. You know every stone and leaf, and You know exactly where my contact lens is. Please help me.'

Later, when they had hiked down the trail to the bottom of the cliff they met another party of climbers just starting up the face of the cliff. One of them shouted out, 'Hey, you guys! Anybody lose a contact lens?'

Well, that would be startling enough, but you know why the climber saw it? An ant was moving slowly across a twig on the face of the rock, carrying it!
The story doesn't end there. Brenda's father is a cartoonist. When she told him the incredible story of the ant, the prayer, and the contact lens, he drew a cartoon of an ant lugging that contact lens with the caption, 'Lord, I don't know why You want me to carry this thing. I can't eat it, and it's awfully heavy. But if this is what You want me to do, I'll carry it for You.'
I think it would do all of us some good to say, 'God, I don't know why You want me to carry this load. I can see no good in it and it's awfully heavy. But, if You want me to carry it, I will.'
God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called.
Yes, I do love GOD. He is my source of existence and my Savior. He keeps me functioning each and every day Without Him, I am nothing, but with Him... I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. (Phil. 4:13)
If you love GOD and are not ashamed of all the marvelous things He has done for you, send this to as many people you know. I am not sure where I got this, but, It is an amazing story of how great our God is, we limit him, but in all reality he has no limitations. Praise the holy name of God...Hope you liked this as I did.
Too it reminds me of Hinds Feet for High Places, a great book by Hannah Hurnard. Have a great day.
