Saturday Sharing

Nothing more beautiful than Eagles, I love the way they move, the way they wait to make a move on their prey, and how they care for their young, it is very fascinating to me the life of the eagle, and my life's verse is Isaiah 40:31
"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
It took a long time for me to realize why God had given me this verse, but with the long walk with Jesus I learned, to wait, not to jump in feet first, but to be still and wait on
his leading. If we can be still and listen to the lord he does speak in a still small voice, but we can hear if we are listening, at times we just ignore him, and go about our business, but then other times we do listen and we learn much from his guidance.

Have you ever watched Eagles? Watched the way they care for each other, and the way they care for their young?
When Eagle reached near 40, it’s beak, talon and feathers becomes weak. For new life, agle makes one hard decision. Eagle flies on top of a mountain and sits on nest. Then Eagle strikes its beak against a rock and pull it out. After that it waits for new beak to grow. Then it starts plucking out it’s talons. New talons grow back. Then it plucks its old and thick feathers.
Now the painful process completed and it has to wait for 5 month to recover. After that it can make its fly to sky and can enjoy new birth. Now it can live 30 years more.

Some change needs to survive in difficulty. In miserable condition, we have to change life style. That process may be very painful. Sometimes we have to throw our old habits, memories and our daily routines. We can’t go ahead with all our past burdens. Then we have to free our burdens and sorrows.

Hope you have enjoyed the information about the beautiful Eagle, it is one of my favorites, have a wonderful weekend, be blessed, and be a blessing.

The Hens Have Names
Leah, Lois and Lydia, and my other two are Mary and Martha, so all have Biblical names, and all are doing great, you can see a little of the lifted cage, it stands about 4 foot off the ground, and is completely wired, so nothing can get into this cage, I am so happy that my dear hens are safe and sound now, all are laying eggs too, so I will be able to give many eggs away, makes me happy, that is the main reason I wanted more hens, to have more eggs to share.

We went to town to get some wood at Lowe's, well the car dealer is right next door, our SUV is a 2006, and we were afraid it may start having problems, although it ran perfect and still looked and smelled like new. But any how we looked, and were able to buy  a  new 2011 for less a month than the 2006 was, now how great is that. The interest rate is only 4% which is so good too, they give us a free tank of gas, a free car wash and oil change when needed, we are happy as can be too, it is almost like the one we had but 5 years newer. We got a great deal I think, and it should last us for a very long time, it will probably be the last new one we get, unless we live a very long time and the lord tarries, then we will need another. Here is a photo of our new SUV

Our Azalea bushes are all in bloom now too, and my exotic plant is starting to bloom also, yes Spring is in the air, and I am thrilled, my tomatoes seeds are up about 1 inch now in the pots.
Our little Zoie Michelle is enjoying this Spring weather too.

☺Tasty Tuesday ☺

Chicken Pot Pie

Ingredients

2 cans (9-3/4 ounces each) chunk white chicken, drained
1 can (15-1/4 ounces) lima beans, drained
1 can (15 ounces) sliced carrots, drained
1 can (14-1/2 ounces) sliced potatoes, drained
1 jar (4-1/2 ounces) sliced mushrooms, drained
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
2 packages (15 ounces each) refrigerated pie pastry
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1-1/2 teaspoons rubbed sage
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon butter, melted

Directions

In a large bowl, combine the first 10 ingredients. Line two 9-in. pie plates with bottom crusts. Add filling. Roll out remaining pastry to fit tops of pies; place over filling. Trim, seal and flute edges. Cut slits in pastry; brush with butter.

Cover and freeze one potpie for up to 3 months. Bake the remaining potpie at 375° for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting.

To use frozen potpie: Remove from the freezer 30 minutes before baking. Cover edges of crust loosely with foil; place on a baking sheet.

Bake at 425° for 30 minutes. Reduce heat to 375°; remove foil. Bake 55-60 minutes longer or until golden brown. Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting. Yield: 2 pies (6 servings each).

Now if you want you can use all fresh ingredients, as I do most times, but this one is for the woman who is in a hurry and wants a delicious dinner in a hurry.

My dear husband has spent the best part of Friday and Saturday afternoon re-doing our hen house. He has enclosed the entire building structure in rabbit wire, then put it all up on 3.5 high 2x4 legs, braced them, that should keep all the critters out from them, I so pray. A brother in our church brought me 3 more hens last evening, gorgeous ladies, 2 Red Island Reds, and 1 Black silk, she is beautiful, jet black and so shiney, I have not ever even seen a black chicken let alone own one, I am thrilled, the are kinda of stand offish right now, letting the ones that I had prior eat first and all, hope they get to feel at home soon, I will check on them in a bit and perhaps give them something special (some dried bread) they love that, well they pretty well love everything. So I do pray that they will be happy, give lots of eggs, and stay well.

Our church services were very good Sunday, the Spirit of God surely ruled, we had one saved also, praise God. Hope you all had a good weekend also.

Have a very blessed week, and know I keep you in my prayers.

Saturday Praise

We are told all thru Scripture to "Praise" God. In the mornings and evenings and between.

We are to Praise Him in all situations, thru all trials and earthly battles and temptations. We are to Praise Him for who He is and What He has done.. If we do this, PEACE will be ours. I could praise him for ever, there are so many verses in his word that talk about praising the lord, so let us this Saturday the 12th day of March 2011 PRAISE his with all Mind, heart, and tongue.

Ps 7:17 I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.

Ps 21:13 Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.

Ps 22:26 The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.
Ps 28:7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

Well I am thankful I am able to be here, and not in a hospital some where. So many are ill and in the hospital or down in bed. I praise God for being okay now.

I thank God for my salvation, always, and forever. I have never been the same, and I will forever be thankful for the lord saving my soul.

I thank God for my wonderful family, my 5 healthy children and 11 healthy grandchildren, and now 8 great grandchildren, wow God has been good to me, and to all of our family.

Psalm 127:5 "Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them": they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

I am happy, and our quiver is plum full, praise God for his goodness upon us, and for his daily provision for us, thank you my father in heaven, and keep a hand upon us all, draw us to your side, and keep us strong and planted in the lord. Thank you Jesus for making it all possible. This all reminds me of this song:

(Thank you Lord for Saving my Soul)

Some thank the Lord for friends and home

For mercies sure and sweet
But I would praise Him for his grace
In prayer I would repeat

Refrain:
Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul
Thank you, Lord, for making me whole
Thank you, Lord, for giving to me
Thy great salvation so rich and free

Some thank Him for the flow’rs that grow
Some for the stars that shine
My heart is filled with joy and praise
Because I know He’s mine

I trust in Him from day to day
I prove His saving grace
I’ll sing this song of praise to Him
Until I see His face

Do visit Smiling Sally to see what others have been up to!
Join with me, and see our Blue Monday photos..I was looking through my cupboards and found these few treasures I can post for Blue Monday, so hope you enjoy them, and maybe you will join us in posting some blue Monday things also.

This is an old Soup Pot, and a Platter my husband found in some junk he picked up in a Grapple truck, so Icleaned it up and kept it, I really love it, and after loosing all my antiques in the fire it was special to have something older again, not sure how old it is, or if it is even that old, the bottom has some funny writting on it.

So tell me, are you having a great Blue Monday?  If not look up, is Jesus still on the throne? Well then it sure is a Wonderful day isn't it, no matter how bad things get in this world, God is able to care for us, and we have his written promises to console us in a time of need, now lets stop and take a deep breath, and let God talk to you, then ask him for his help in all you do today, in all you must face today, and with all you will attempt to do for him, his grace is sufficient indeed, proven, tested, and banked on..

Hugs my dear friends, have a blessed day.

This Is the Day the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.

I hope your day is filled with lots of blessings, and that you are a blessing to our lord, like in Psalm 103:2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

Psalm 34:1 A Psalm of David, when he changed his behaviour before Abimelech; who drove him away, and he departed. "I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth".

May we lift holy hands and sing praises unto the lord God almighty, he is our strong tower and our rock. I am so happy to be in the house of God today, seems like a long time since I been in church, it was Wed, but seems longer, we have been all over, went over 150 miles traveling yesterday to find some hens, did not, but found a lady who has them, I will go Monday and get 3 more, and she has the wonderful Rhode Island Reds too, just like my Esther I lost, so God did bless.
Have a blessed day my friend ♥
