I am thankful this Thursday for a church that has a vision, that wants to see souls
saved, and wants to bring boys and girls in to learn about Jesus. Matthewt 19:14
"But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven". So many Churches do not have soul winning programs any more, so I am honored to be part of a church who goes out on visitation and brings in souls for the glory of God, amen and amen. This photo is one of our bus, some of the men are working on the bus, sanding, taping off and painting, it takes lots of hard work, and praise God for men willing to give of their time for this project; it will be blue and white all when finished, now the white is finished, today they will tape the rest off, and tomorow the bus will be painted, (Lord willing and it does not rain) here are a  couple more photos of the bus in the process. Wonderful site to behold, and a wonderfl place to be serving my lord. As it states in Proverbs 29:18  "Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he".
Praise God our people have a  vision, and it is seeing the lost brought to a
saving knowledge of Christ. Here are the other photos:

You can see it is looking good, and should be pretty well finished tomorrow.
I just have so much to be thankful for, my pastor ask me to teach the teen
girls, now I have taught all ages, and for the past 20 years been teaching women,
it has been a long time since I taught young girls, but I am taking the challenge,
and I ask that God give me all I need to teach them, I know I have love, I have his
word, and beyond that he will do the rest, so I trust in him to help us grow
together and become the Godly women our lord wants us to be.
I am thinking on this, I talked to the girls last night after service about going out on visitation with me, and they are all excited, I am so thrilled, perhaps we will build this class by getting them in one by one, amen, no better event than to take them soul winning, maybe spring for a treat of some kind afterwards too, these girls are dear, I am really looking forward to teaching them, and becoming a part of their life. Lord help me to be what YOU would have me to me, so I may teach others, we must first be a good follower before we can ever be a teacher, so may I follow faithfully, and do all that is expected in me, thank you lord, for giving me such a complete and wonderful written hand book to learn from and to live by, thank you for saving me and making me one of your children, I so pray that I may help others on their walk in faith, God's word shall reveal all I need, so thank you lord for this day that I am able to praise you.
Do you dear blogger have a testimony for this wonderful Thursday to be thankful for?
God bless you each and may your day count for the lord Jesus Christ and may he bless you completely. ♥

Prayer

Luke 18:9-15 Very first prayer God hears..

9 And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:
10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
15 And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them.

What is Prayer ~ Simply talking to God. ~

Prayer had an important place in the life and the teachings of Jesus. He was a man of prayer, praying frequently in private and in public, and occasionally spending whole nights in communion with His heavenly Father. He often spoke to His disciples on the subject of prayer, urging perseverance, faith and large expectation, and He gave them a model of devotion in the Lord’s prayer.   We find it in Matthew 6:5-15

5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Prayer Has a big effect on your life, when you are praying and seeking to be close to God, it shows in all you do. Prayer keeps us in sweet communion with our heavenly Father, by reading our Bible and praying we stay close to the lord, if you stay in constant prayer and reading his holy word, you will not stray far, I have never heard any one falling away from God when they are in much prayer and study.

PLEDGE TO THE AMERICAN FLAG
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

PLEDGE TO THE CHRISTIAN FLAG
I pledge allegiance to the Christian Flag and to the Savior for whose Kingdom it stands. One Savior, crucified, risen, and coming again with life and liberty to all who believe.

PLEDGE TO THE BIBLE
I pledge allegiance to the Bible, God's Holy Word, I will make it a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path and will hide its words in my heart that I might not sin against God.

PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE LAMB
I pledge allegiance to the Lamb with all my strength, with all I am. I will seek to honor His commands I pledge allegiance to the Lamb.

THE AMERICAN'S CREED By William Tyler Page
I believe in the United States of America as a government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a Republic; a sovereign Nation of many sovereign States; a perfect Union, one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes. I therefore believe it is my duty to my Country to love it; to support its constitution; to obey its laws; to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

These are all so very important to remember, most know the one for the flag, but never remembered the others, with love an heart I say God bless America, and may she turn back to God and put him first, in all things. If we do as God commands in
2 Chronicles 7:14 "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
This is the only way America will survive, and if all God's people will turn to him, and stop looking for help in all other things it will work, America will be a Christian nation once again, I say again, God bless you and this very special day, and may God bless America, and may she stand strong as we know her.

Wednesday Words To Live By

In my devotions this morning I was reading here in Psalm 102 the more I read the more I seemed to be wrapped up in the arms of God, it is a prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed, and pouring out his heart to the lord.

It really touched my heart also, to know he hears my prayer, and he is just waiting for me to come to him.
It seems it is when we are all alone he comes to us, and we can pour out our troubles and cleave unto him, there is nothing too large or too small for us to take unto the lord, he is our help in time of need, and I do pray I always run to him first, insead of last like in times past.
Look at these verses now, and see how the lord will speak to you and what he will console you with and about. Be blessed for he will bless them that love him.

1 Hear my prayer, O LORD, and let my cry come unto thee.
2 Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily.
3 For my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned as an hearth.
4 My heart is smitten, and withered like grass; so that I forget to eat my bread.
5 By reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my skin.
6 I am like a pelican of the wilderness: I am like an owl of the desert.
7 I watch, and am as a sparrow alone upon the house top.
8 Mine enemies reproach me all the day; and they that are mad against me are sworn against me.
9 For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping,
10 Because of thine indignation and thy wrath: for thou hast lifted me up, and cast me down.
11 My days are like a shadow that declineth; and I am withered like grass.

I am ending with these verses, if you care to continue reading there is many more verses to bless your soul.

What a Glorious Day
It is hard to believe we only have 3 days left in the month of June,
where is the time going so fast, month after month, soon it
will be Christmas again. We have had a wonderful week it has
rained every after noon for 5 days now, I no longer smell the
smoke from the fires, I am praying all the rain has put them out.

 Money bags

This year, July has 5 Fridays,  5 Saturdays  and 5 Sundays. This happens
once every 823 years. This is called money bags.
This year we're going to experience four unusual dates.
1/1/11,  1/11/11,  11/1/11,  11/11/11 and that's not all...

Take the last two digits of the year in which you were born - now add
the age you will be this year,

The results will be 111 for everyone in whole world. This is the year of
the Money!!!
I wonder if any more money will be available..or will there me less money,
it just says money, but not how much or how less. Just some fun things
to think on.
God created these times, he holds all the answers, so if we have any
questions let us go to the lord in prayer, he will give us all the solutions
we will ever need.
One thing is certain, if you believe on the lord Jesus Christ, you will be
saved, and you will have a place in heaven for all eternity, just read the

Good Sunday Morning

1 Peter 5:4

"And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a
crown of glory that fadeth not away".

It is a blessing to be led by godly, loving shepherds. But as much as we love them and show them respect, they will receive even greater appreciation in heaven! May be humble in the sight of God and may we submit to those who have authority over us, let us leave all our cares with the lord, he is the one who really cares, and who can make us what we want to be for him.

I love 1 Peter and we can glean so very much from it. May we live in peace and love as the one who lives in us, God bless you, have a wonderful lord's day, sing his praises and lift the name of Jesus high..

So much to be thankful for, look at this photo, it is the sun, taken Monday afternoon in Folkston, GA amazing, how bright and red it is, the smoke is affecting the sky and how it appears, this sun, reminds me of that scripture about the moon turning to blood, even though it is not the moon it is just what I picture.
We have had an amazing week, thank you for the prayers for Sunday, my dh preached a powerful sermon, and one boy was saved, it truly blessed our heart to be with our friends from the past, if you missed the other post, we were at the church my husband resigned a few years ago, and it was a real blessings.
Then he was able to preach last night at the church we are attending, it was a blessing too, he had an incredible message from God, and it touched so many hearts. Including mine, made me really take notice, and examine my own heart.
We have had a great week, and looking forward to more days of blessings ahead, I love the lord and how he always blesses our faithfulness, yet it is he in me that makes me do all I want to for him, he sure is awesome, and I sure am thankful for the blessing of salvation, and his hand upon my life all these years, my dh will be 70 in August, and he is still going strong for our Saviour, that is a true blessing to me, knowing him before salvation, and then after, I see the complete change Christ did in his heart and in our life.
Thank you lord, I am happy to be called a Christian, and may I always glorify your name and you in all I do.

I fixed this the other day, it is so delicious, here is my recipe.

I love Being a Woman for the Lord

We spent a long and busy day putting up tomatoes yesterday, but my freezer is full and will last until next year at picking time. It is a wonderful feeling to be able to take care of your family and know your hands have provided food for them all winter, reminds me of the Proverbs woman, if we wonder how we should act and be as Christian women, well Proverbs 31:10-31 tells it all, lets look on it for a few minutes and really let the lord speak to our heart through these scriptures.

10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
13 She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
14 She is like the merchants’ ships; she bringeth her food from afar.
15 She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.

16 She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.
19 She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
20 She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
22 She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.
23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
24 She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.
25 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

We see all that makes up a Godly woman who cares for her family, loves them, and how she has a tender heart toward them, and how she cares for them to; making sure they are comfortable and well fed, that their clothes are clean and fresh, that their home if neat and livable, her husband and children do notice how hard she works, they love her and call her blessed, that is the finest compliment any woman can receive that her children call her blessed. That her husband praises her, amen, is this your hearts desire.

Smokey Saturday In Charlton County Georgia

We Went to Manor Georgia yesterday, and picked tomatoes,
as you can see some are not ripe enough to freeze, so we
are letting ripen really well before freezing them, they are
so much better when overly ripe even.

The smoke was really bad all the way there up; on US 1, and then back all the way too, on HWY 82, but the funniest thing was we could not even smell the smoke when out picking tomatoes, Yep God is so good to us, so if you live in that area go get you tomatoes, the cost is only $6.00 for a 5 gallon bucket full, really good tasting tomatoes too, their watermelons are $2.00 I could not resist getting one of them, and some egg plant, also some Green Peppers I do love fresh green peppers.
I make sandwiches out of them, a slab of pepper and slice of cheese and oh my it is
good.
Our tomatoes are on the porch for now, hoping they will be ripe enough Monday to put up. We will not do them tomorrow, remember to keep my dear husband in prayer tomorrow too, he is preaching at our church he resigned from a few years ago. So that is my smokey Saturday for now, oh year I have a Wonderful pound cake in the oven, I am going to load it with strawberries for dessert tonight, going to fix  steak fry and rice, oh me, is it supper time yet?? Be blessed, be a blessings, and hope your Father's Day is a very blessed one too, love your daddies while you can.
Lots of hugs and Prayers, Barbara

Giving Honor To my Daddy

Ex 20:12 "Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee".

We see God repeats this in the new testament too. He makes mention in Matthew and Mark and this one here.

Eph 6:2 Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)

We see it is important for us to honor our fathers, I loved my daddy dearly, and I still miss him, he went to be with Jesus in 1987 and it seems like such a short time ago. If you still have your dad love him, let him know you love him, and add to this post something nice about him. I was adopted so my dad chose me, and always made me feel very special. God truly blessed me with wonderful loving parents, I can never thank them enough for the care, and love and guidance they give to me. I am sharing this collage I made up of him with you for this Father's Day. Daddy I love you, and miss you ♥

Have a very blessed Day, and Happy Father's Day to any Dads that may be reading this too, God bless you and know what an honor it is to be a father. God bless you.
