God Blessing in spite of the storms...

Where to start, been a week since I updated, and so much has happened since then, I am still praising the lord, and thanking him for keeping his hand upon us. We had water come all the way up to the carport, but none in the house, thank you lord, some did get in my dh little blue car, and started coming in his shed, but no real damage, with water you never know, it has an unstoppable power that rages through where ever it may, some may loose faith, but I know God allows things to happen to us also, just like the lost world, it rains on the just and the unjust, one of my verses I remember now, and took it very serious this past week.  Mt 5:45  That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
Some times we just need to be reminded of this statement, even when we are in the will of God, doing his work we still may go through some things that are not very good, though very profitable to our spiritual being, this has been one of these times. Take a minute and pray for all those who have been so devastated with the flooding, the fires, and the earthquakes, to name a few, seem God is pouring his wrath out on America, how many of us are looking up and listening and then heeding his ways? I for one am, and know many who read this blog do too, we much not take a day for granted, but live like it is our last, doing all we can to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We had a wonderful week so far, the church we been attending had services Tuesday evening, we went and were blessed by the wonderful and special singing, and preaching. Now yesterday being a holiday, I fixed a macaroni salad, hot dogs, and fresh tomatoes from our garden, although the water destroyed much of our garden we did have a few tomatoes left. Then last night went to a local church having services, and was blessed yet again, God word is true and does what it says, fills us with complete joy, and gladness, such simple verses can really touch your heart, and bring in joy ever lasting.

Today, staying inside, too hot to do much outside, still in the high 90's here, and the humidity is way high too, best place for old folks like us is inside. We may venture out later to pick up a few things needed, but not for long, I hope your Thursday is a good as mine, and you can say along with me, Praise God for his goodness and mercy upon me. Have a blessed day, and know Jesus loves you.

Wow I feel Like Noah

We have been hit hard by Tropical Storm Debby, we live in low lands and it has rained here since Sunday. Needless to say all I see is water, the only dry parcel in my yard is where the house is sitting, it was built up to set up. Here are some photos of the yard and surrounding road or should I say water ways. These were taken yesterday, and it has rained again all night so the water is deeper now too. Keep us in prayer please.

Where you see the grass there is now all water, no grass to be seen, except the septic tank hill.

Well here are today's photos, much worse water is deeper.

Sorry I have Been MIA

We have been super busy around here, with revivals and friends and such, just not much time left for the computer, I have some beautiful photos of our tomatoes, and some beautiful wild flowers that God has given to us to enjoy, my husband loves snapping pictures when ever he sees something pretty, so I am going to share them with you today.
We are good, and we are getting strength back daily. I give God all the glory for everything that is done in our life.

Ponder On This One...

YOU TOOK MY PARKING SPACE AT CHURCH

This should wake us up, change our ways, and touch our heart

One day, a man went to visit a church, He got there early, parked his car and got out. Another car pulled up near the driver got out and said, " I always park there! You took my place!"

The visitor went inside for Sunday School, found an empty seat and sat down. A young lady from the church approached him and stated, "That's my seat! You took my place!" The visitor was somewhat distressed by this rude welcome, but said nothing.

After Sunday School, the visitor went into the sanctuary and sat down. Another member walked up to him and said, " That's where I always sit! You took my place!" The visitor was even more troubled by this treatment, but still he said nothing.

Later as the congregation was praying for Christ to dwell among them, the visitor stood up, and his appearance began to change. Horrible scars became visible on his hands and on his sandaled feet. Someone from the congregation noticed him and called out, "What happened to you?" The visitor replied, as his hat became a crown of thorns, and a tear fell from his eye, "I took your place."

Lets really think on this, it is sad some Christians are so shallow they allow this to happen. Every church seems to have one though. Have a blessed weekend, and try to be a blessing to those around you..

Ps 118:24  This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.  Amen!

Ps 122:1  A Song of degrees of David. I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.

I am looking forward to going to the house of the lord this morning, and worshiping our dear lord and Saviour, he sure is worthy of our worship, our love, our devotion, and our constant fellowship with him, let the redeemed of the lord say so...Have a blessed day.

Some of our beautiful wild flowers that God has
planted all around our property, I plant flowers and
lots of them die or do not do good, but when God
plants them they grow and are beautiful...

Wonderful Wednesday

It has been a wonderful week, many things going on, we had a great service Sunday, and then Monday I went and had a routine blood drawn, I am on some medications that need to have tests every 3 months.
It has been all good for years, and gets to be bothersome at times, being I have to be fasting.

I have been getting a study together for our Mother's Day Banquet, they have asked me to speak, and I am very nervous, but then I always am, being in the lime light is not for me, I like doing behind the scenes, I guess from being a Pastor's wife for so many years, I always was behind him, and in most cases, except for a few exceptions, I do teach the teen girls at church ,and used to teach our ladies SS class when husband was pastor.   So keep me in your prayers, I thought I had the lesson the lord wanted then he scrambled it all and I knew it was not what he wanted me to teach on. So started again, on being beautiful for Thee. I pray that is it and as I study more things come to mind.

My middle daughter gave me this rose plant about 7 years ago for a Mother's day gift, I love smell of this gorgeous red rose, and now I have several all over our yard, this one usually gives a few blossoms a year but always gorgeous in the process.

Our weather here is very warm and going into the 90's later on this week, our garden is doing great, and we are picking green beans and potatoes, he got an early start, and soon my Cauliflower will be ready for picking too. Here are a couple photos of our garden, both front and back, we have two small ones instead of one large one, easier to plant and keep up.
Back Yard garden, bell peppers, sweet potatoes, tomatoes,
green beans, strawberry's, and peanuts.

Front Yard, squash, cukes, corn, potatoes, carrots, onions
Cauliflower, green beans.

So that is our wonderful garden and if it does well we will have
lots of veggies this year to put in our freezer. So hope you
have a wonderful Wednesday, and God bless each of you.

Well the appointment with our oncologist went great, good news, he has healed very well the doc said, said he has done so much better than most patients, Chuck said AMEN thats my God...He asked if his voice comes and goes or is hoarse, nope, he still preaches strong and sings and all he ever did, the hand of God touched him no doubt in my mind. He still tires easy but is even getting stronger, praise God for his marvelous grace. Thank you all for praying so fervently for him.

God is still using him, He has led 12 folks to the lord in this past two weeks, praise God, and he will be preaching at our old church in Woodbine, GA tomorrow, Sunday, so anyone in that area come on and hear some good preaching.

I am doing pretty good, my arm is giving me a fit, not sure what it be but it hurts, will need to go get it checked out soon, part of getting older, just always something popping up.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend, I pray that many souls will be saved tomorrow, and that your preacher will preach with boldness and clarity of speech. Be blessed and be a blessing.Photobucket
