♥ Marvellous Monday ♥

I had such a wonderful weekend, first the ladies Jubilee was fabulous, such great speaking at the Jubilee, the drive was such fun, and we had sweet fellowship all the way, the speakers were so precious, and had such a sweet Spirit they spoke with such a peace of God on them. It was great, we ate such good food too, them of that church fixed and served us ladies, now tell me isn't that just too sweet. The long trip really bothered my legs, and by evening I was in severe pain, so I went to bed early, and got up early for church on Sunday.  I still was in much pain, and suffered most of the day, but God was so good and he showed me that the pain I go through was nothing compared to what my Saviour went through.
That did make me feel better, knowing that Jesus took my sin upon himself, and went through such agonizing pain, for me.

 Read Isaiah 53, and this verse 5 "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."

This really tells all he did for us, the day we accepted Jesus Christ as our Saviour, he wrote our name down in the lamb's  book of life, God has my name, as he has everyone that has accepted Jesus Christ written down in that book. We sang this song last night at church, and it touched my heart, and really got me thinking on how God knows my name, he knows every hair on my head, and he knows my heart. Look at the words to this song, and let it touch your heart the same way it has touched mine, God sees an importance in names, and he sees an importance in writing things down, Just look at the Chronicles whew all those names, we hurry over them at times, and say, I sure wish God would of named them something easy, but just think, every one of those names is a soul, a soul that Jesus died for, and that God wrote in his lamb's book of life. Now do you think differently about all those funny names, maybe we will not skim over them so fast next time we are reading, and lets think how we would feel if God took our name off that roll, so lets know God has a purpose, that in our little minds we may never figure out, but He is almighty God, an Omnipotent and what he writes really counts, and I am so happy that my name is written down in his book of life.   So here are the words to:

I know My Name Is There

My name is in the book of Life,

Oh, bless the name of Jesus;
I rise above all doubt and strife,
And read my title clear.

Refrain:

I know, I know,
My name is there;
I know, I know,
My name is written there.

My name once stood with sinners lost,
And bore a painful record;
But by His blood the Savior crossed,
And placed it on His roll.

Yet inward trouble often cast,
A shadow o’er my title;
But now with full salvation blest,
Praise God! it’s ever clear.

While others climb through worldly strife
To carve a name of honor,
High up in heaven’s book of Life,
My name is written there.

Did that touch your soul, praise God my name is there, and I know that I know my name is written there, God himself wrote it down, and no one can ever erase it. Thank you for sharing with me today, and seeing the wonderful importance in a name.

God bless you and your efforts to serve him, and have a glorious day.

I'm glad you had such a wonderful weekend. I pray that you can have your surgery soon. I have heard of several people who have had joint replacement surgery who have felt much better immediately inspite of the postoperative pain. I pray that it will be that way for you..............Denise

You know Barbara, I never thought about the names in the book of Chronicles like that either until the preacher said it last night. That was good wasn't it? It got me to thinking about my name being in there too.

Yes amen it sure was good, we had a wonderful sweet service, and I truly enjoyed it. He does bring some things to light that I have not seen before, I love it when that happens, and I learn something new, God sure is good, and ever teaching too, like preacher said too, his word never gets old or stale, it is always refreshing and I find something new each time I read. Hugs and Denise thank you for the encouragement about my surgery, it will be September 20th, so keep me in prayers.

Oh Barbara, Yes~ It is so good to know our name is written down in the Lamb's Book of Life. As for those names in Chronicles ~ well, my husband and I laughed when we were pronouncing those names. We tried them all and knew that we probably slaughter them. But they are important.

My sister-in-law just had a hip replacement and could tell a difference in a few days. She was on her feet in no time with therapy. It's amazing what can be done today. I'm sure you will be just fine. We will be praying for you. I admire your spunk.

Blessings to you!

Barbara, God revealed the importance of names with my fourth child whose name is David - meaning beloved. And he is loved....

I'm so glad to hear you had a wonderful time with the ladies, and that you were able to overcome the pain with your thoughts focused on Christ. He is good.

May the Lord bless you and keep you and Make His face shine upon you.

My warmest regards. HUGS

Barbara...you are a blessing yourself!! I don't think I've ever sung that song...I'll have to see if it is in our hymnal and coax the organist (mom) to play it for us! We scrolled down to see you will be having your surgery this next month...we will keep you and the doctors in our prayers!

It sounds like you had a glorious weekend Barbara!
Those names can sure be tongue-twisters can't they? I always found their meanings interesting but I'm thankful you pointed out how they are all in the Lamb's book of life.
I've been busy and haven't gotten around to visit my friends' blogs much but I'll be praying for your surgery my friend.

I remember the day when I suddenly realized all those names meant God really cared about all those people. Lovely reminder. Hoping and praying your surgery is soon and goes well, and thanking you for reminders of God's goodness.
