Wednesday's Wisdom
Psalm 23:2-3 "He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside

the still waters." 3."He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths
of righteousness for his name's sake".

When we are exhausted, and all our strength has run out, we are on the edge of
burn out, we need to have our souls restored.  But who can restore our souls?
Only the One who will lead us beside still waters! The Lord is our
Shepherd. He alone can fully bring the nourishment and the
replenishment that we need. Yet why do we sometimes find it so hard
to set aside time to be with him? Could it be that we keep our
lives so busy that we miss out on the one thing that matters most?

God has shown me time and time again, that being with him restores
my soul and heart like no one else can.  He forgives me, and gives me
nourishment and refreshment from places on high, he reinvigorates me
with his very presence and gives power to serve him more effectively.
I am so happy I have such a mighty force to go to, to get restored in time
of troubles, in times when I am weak, oh Lord help me to come to you
first, and not try to do all on my own. We love you and give you all
the praise and honor that is due you, and only you.

How you like a new recipe now? It has been a while since I posted any
good things here. So Enjoy.

Bacon Wrapped Tater Tots
These sound so good!

Heaven help us...LOL!

1/2 bag frozen tater tots, about 40 pieces
1 pound sliced, lean bacon, about 20 slices

Preheat oven to 425.
Cut bacon strips in half making 2 equal size pieces, about 4 inches
each. Place a tater tot on the end of the half-strip of bacon and roll
it around the tot, slightly overlapping by 1/2 inch. Cut off any
excess bacon. Pierce with a toothpick and place bacon wrapped tot on a
baking sheet. Bake until the bacon is crispy, about 15-20 minutes.

ADDED NOTE:
Soak toothpicks in a bowl of water
before sticking into the tots and hot oven.

He is the only One who can restore us. I know I hate when I miss my time with the Lord.

He kept me restored through this week of VBS. Filled with blessings every day, there really is no way to explain to someone who has not experienced it. If you haven't worked a Vacation Bible School, plan to do so next year. We have workers who do shift changes or use vacation time to work with God's children. That will restore our faith and our souls!!
