Wednesday's Wisdom
Psalm 23:2-3 "He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside

the still waters." 3."He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths
of righteousness for his name's sake".

When we are exhausted, and all our strength has run out, we are on the edge of
burn out, we need to have our souls restored.  But who can restore our souls?
Only the One who will lead us beside still waters! The Lord is our
Shepherd. He alone can fully bring the nourishment and the
replenishment that we need. Yet why do we sometimes find it so hard
to set aside time to be with him? Could it be that we keep our
lives so busy that we miss out on the one thing that matters most?

God has shown me time and time again, that being with him restores
my soul and heart like no one else can.  He forgives me, and gives me
nourishment and refreshment from places on high, he reinvigorates me
with his very presence and gives power to serve him more effectively.
I am so happy I have such a mighty force to go to, to get restored in time
of troubles, in times when I am weak, oh Lord help me to come to you
first, and not try to do all on my own. We love you and give you all
the praise and honor that is due you, and only you.

How you like a new recipe now? It has been a while since I posted any
good things here. So Enjoy.

Bacon Wrapped Tater Tots
These sound so good!

Heaven help us...LOL!

1/2 bag frozen tater tots, about 40 pieces
1 pound sliced, lean bacon, about 20 slices

Preheat oven to 425.
Cut bacon strips in half making 2 equal size pieces, about 4 inches
each. Place a tater tot on the end of the half-strip of bacon and roll
it around the tot, slightly overlapping by 1/2 inch. Cut off any
excess bacon. Pierce with a toothpick and place bacon wrapped tot on a
baking sheet. Bake until the bacon is crispy, about 15-20 minutes.

ADDED NOTE:
Soak toothpicks in a bowl of water
before sticking into the tots and hot oven.

(Saturday Serving The Lord)

Good after noon, what a great day we had, we went visiting for over
3 hours, I am kinda sad because we did not see any one saved, but we
sure planted lots of the Word.
We covered about 7 different roads, and I do not know how many people
we visited, give tracts and give them the gospel, praise God for his hand
of mercy on us. No dogs attacked, no one was real rude or ugly, it was a
good time of visiting, and sharing the Gospel with others.

We are off to Waycross, Georgia again tomorrow; my dear husband is
preaching and I do pray that others will join in too, it is a very small church,
and the pastor is on vacation, we are filling in last week, this week, and
next week. I miss teaching my teen girls too, will be happy when we get
back to our own church. But when married to a preacher I never know when
we will be in our church or in another one, he gets to preach in lots of
places, and I am happy, for he would be miserable if he did not preach. So
pray for us, and pray that some one will be saved tomorrow.

I have this song to share with you, it is one of my favorites, and really
tells how I do feel, and I truly want to always have a servants heart.
God bless you my friends, and thank you for stopping by and posting as
so many of you do, Have a very blessed Saturday. Hugs

A Servants Heart

Chorus
I want a servants heart
And I will gladly bear the markings
Of one held captive yet free
Not my will but thine
For Lord in your own time
Only you can make a servants heart

He compels me to go
But I would rather stay
He sent me a valley
Once again today
My self determined will
Keeps tearing me apart
But when the works completed
I'll have a servants heart

More and more Lord I see
There's a work I must do
Father may you find me faithful
Trusting only you
Take all that I have been
There, your will to start
And then I'll serve no other master
with this servants heart

Think It Does Not Matter Republician
Or Democrat?? Read and Weep..

History Lesson on Your Social Security Card

Just in case some of you young whippersnappers (& some older ones) didn't know this.
It's easy to check out, if you don't believe it. Be sure and show it to your family
And friends. They need a little history lesson on what's what and it doesn't matter
Whether you are Democrat or Republican. Facts are Facts.

Social Security Cards up until the 1980sexpressly stated the number and
Card were not to be used for identification purposes. Since nearly everyone in the
United States now has a number, it became convenient to use it anyway and the
Message, NOT FOR IDENTIFICATION, was removed.

Our Social Security
Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social
Security (FICA) Program. He promised:

1.) That participation in the Program would be
Completely voluntary,
No longer Voluntary
2.) That the participants would only have to pay
1% of the first $1,400 of their annual

Incomes into the Program,
Now 7.65%
On the first $90,000

3.) That the money the participants elected to put
Into the Program would be deductible from
Their income for tax purposes each year,

No longer tax deductible
4.) That the money the participants put into the
Independent 'Trust Fund' rather than into the
General operating fund, and therefore,would
Only be used to fund the Social Security
Retirement Program, and no other
Government program, and,
Under Johnson the money was moved to
The General Fund and Spent

5.) That the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed

As income.
Under Clinton & Gore
Up to 85% of your Social Security can be Taxed
Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are
Now receiving a Social Security check every month --
And then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of
The money we paid to the Federal government to 'put
Away -- you may be interested in the following:
------------ --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- ----

Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the
Independent 'Trust Fund' and put it into the
General fund so that Congress could spend it?
A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the democratically
Controlled House and Senate.
------------ --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --
Q: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax
Deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?
A: The Democratic Party.
------------ --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- -----

Q: Which Political Party started taxing Social
Security annuities?
A: The Democratic Party, with Al Gorecasting the
tie-breaking' deciding vote as President of the
Senate, while he was Vice President of the US
------------ --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- -

Q: Which Political Party decided to start
Giving annuity payments to immigrants?

AND MY FAVORITE:
A: That's right!
Jimmy Carter and the Democratic Party.
Immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65,
Began to receive Social Security payments! The
Democratic Party gave these payments to them,
Even though they never paid a dime into it!
------------ -- ------------ --------- ----- ------------ --------- ---------

Then, after violating the original contract (FICA),
The Democrats turn around and tell you that the Republicans want
To take your Social Security away!
And the worst part about it is uninformed citizens believe it!
If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of
Awareness will be planted and maybe changes will
Evolve.
But it's worth a try.
How many people can YOU tell about this?

God Is So Good

I am reminiscing this morning, and thinking of this past week, how much work and love went into the VBS, and could not help but think back when we were first saved, and worked in the bus ministry, there were so very many blessings, and then my husband was called to preach, and he claimed this verse in 1976, long before it ever became a verse that everyone knew.  He seen how God worked in the bus ministry, and how he added every week, we eventually we hit 100 riders, and had to split the bus route up. That was a sad day, but then we realized what God had in store for us.  wow I published and lost the whole post, my my not sure what happened, I been working on this for an hour too, sorry if you are reading this now, I am trying to finish it now too. Bear with me please.

Wow now to remember all I had written, guess maybe God did not want that published, or Satan is really attacking because someone would be blessed.

God truly blessed through the years, and when my dear husband claimed the verse in 1 Chronicles 4:10 "And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep [me] from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested".
He really did not know the impact God would make in his life, He indeed enlarged our coast, God has blessed us so many times, and with each move it has been hard, we would learn to love those we were with, then God would move us to another location,  we have been from Miami to Denver, to Virginia to New York back to Florida, some places my husband was Bus Director in his youth, then God called him to pastor, and and to evangelize, God give him the ability, the power, the money and strength to go from state to state and preach the gospel, then he planted us in Georgia, where he was pastor for 14 years, the past few years since he resigned his church has been a whirl wind, he preaches sometimes 3 times a week, and God is using him in many areas, it is a blessing to be part of this life God has chiseled out for us, I never dreamed when young we would of seen and did so much. We have never went hungry or had our bills not paid, God has always been a constant in our life, we may tire in the work, but certainly never tire of the work, this is what God almighty called us to do, we were willing to go, we were willing to live for him, and he surely has blessed our life. I could not had any more if were a money making rich girl, I am blessed and rich in the family of God, and heir with Jesus Christ, and Kings kid, it just does not get any better than that. I have written this today because God had someone who needed it, I certainly pray it has encouraged some one, and that you can see by my testimony that God makes promises and he always keeps them. He will never leave you or forsake you, he is the best father any one could ever have. I hope he blesses you today, and that you will give him your all, and trust me you will never be sorry.

Why Do We Have VBS

Look at the life of Samuel, and you will understand why salvation at an early age matters. We finished up our VBS last evening, we had some saved, and others
that still need to be dealt with, it has given us a good foot to the bus ministry, and
followup visits.
"And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of
his words fall to the ground". 1 Samuel 3:19

Samuel began his ministry at such a young age and was so
important in bridging the generations between the period of the
Judges and the period of the Kings. During that whole time, God was
with him and empowered his ministry, making his words true and
effective. Let's pray that God does the same with his spokespeople
today. May God use his servants effectively all their lives and not
let any of their words fall to the ground.

Thankful Thursday
We had a good crowd nightly, last night the most

The two boys looking here got saved

Children in Chapel

Older kids gathering for preaching service

This has been such an exciting week, now today it is
beginning to wind down, we have had 3 saved, and perhaps
even more, only heaven will reveal all the seeds that were
planted this week.
Keep us all in your prayers as we feed, teach and love these
dear children, I think we brought in 24 on the bus last night,
and 9 more came in the van, so we are having a great gathering
each evening.
It has been a busy time, and may God bless all those faithful
workers that gather each night to help these children learn
about the Saviour, that is why each of us are giving our time,
talents and love to these dear little ones, remember Jesus said
"Matthew 19:14 Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me:
for such is the kingdom of heaven"
Let us never under estimate how much God will bless those who keep his
commandments and give in his name, there are so many verses that prove
this. I hope you all have a very blessed Thursday, I know I am so
thankful to be part of the happenings this week at Peoples Liberty BC.
Be blessed in all you do, and know Jesus loves you, and so do I.

Abiding in His love, Barbara

The Lord is MY Shepherd From Psalms 23

Possession - The Lord is my shepherd

Provision - I shall not want

Position - He maketh me to lie down

Privilege - In green pastures

Preservation - He restoreth my soul

Progress - He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness

Peace - I will fear no evil

Presence - Thou art with me

Preparation - Thou preparest a table before me

Plenty - My cup runneth over

Pursuit - Goodness and mercy shall follow me

Prospect - I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever

Isn't it wonderful to see all the things our lord Jesus does
and is to us. He keeps us in all things and protects us
from the evil of this world, I never could repay him for
the most wonderful gift he ever give man kind, salvation.
Being God manifested in the flesh, and walked as man
draped in flesh he paid every debt I ever owed, the only
one who ever walked this earth without sinning, he was
here to please the father, in all things, we as Christians were
left after salvation to please the father too, in all things, we
do fall short many times, but then our great Shepherd comes
and picks us up and sends us on our way to obey, and
fullfill the commands of our lord. Have a such an obedient
Shepherd makes me want to serve and obey God even
more, to be more like Jesus daily. Have a very Blessed Day.
Pleasing the Shepherd, Obeying God,
In His loving care, Barbara ♥
