God Just Keeps on Giving and Giving

Well another day, another weekend is upon us, we went out in the boat again yesterday, we caught 15 Brim, good size ones too;
and guess what? Give up? I caught the fishing pole Chuck lost in the River Monday, yeah, now only God can do something like that,
I cast my line in the water, well it went to close to the boat so I was reeling in, when I brought up a line, I was trying to get it off my line when Chuck said, no, try and bring it in, it may be my pole, me of little faith said, I am sure, and WOW when I reeled it in his pole was attached to it, the hook and line still on it, but the fish had got away, we were amazed and said the lord had to do this, he must of wanted you to have that pole and reel. LOL Thought you would enjoy that little blessing. Stranger things have happened, been a while though.

Today we hit a few yard sales, we been looking for a cordless phone, we priced them at Wal Mart and they were from 28 to 50
dollars, the ones with answering machines on them; well today we
found one just like we been looking at and it was 3 dollars not 40.
Praise God the man said if it did not work to bring it back and he would give us our money back, well we brought it home and plugged it in, and great news, it works good, I have it all set up now, I hate the cord ones, our other cordless died, and so we had the cord one hooked up, love the cordless. We got a few other things too, was a good trip and good day.

Well it is a fabulous Friday, and I am back home, tired, but ate and now going to cook some lima beans and rice for supper, make some good ole corn bread too, yummy, is it supper yet, lol hope you all have a very blessed weekend, and know Jesus loves you and so do I.

We had a very good and restful Monday, Chuck went down to the river for a couple hours, and caught several nice Brim, so that is our dinner tonight, he fillets them so it will be pure eating, no picking the bones out. Here is a photo of these pretty fish.

Makes me want to go and catch a few myself, this is Brim season now, and we can stock our freezer while they are biting.

It is so relaxing and fun out fishing, no sounds and just sweet smells of the wild Jasmine and Honeysuckle all around us. Nice, serene and so peaceful, like not much noise where we live anyhow, but on the water is even better.
Chuck got up to stretch and before he could grab his pole a fish pulled it in the water, took off with it, he has about 40 of them, so no great loss, and he still had 2 others to continue fishing with, but it must of been a big fish strong enough to get it out of the boat that fast. Now that was the big one that got away, LOL ♥

A Great Sunday, and a Better Monday

Happy Monday, praise God we made it to both services yesterday, what a blessing to be in the house of God with all our family around us. The messages were great, dh even got to teach the men's SS class, and though small I was able to be with the teen girls again.

My lesson was from Titus 2, being a set apart woman for God, and I tied it  in with Burn your bridges to Egypt.
I so enjoyed teaching again, and being with the youth, the bus is bringing many many children in now, that sure is a blessing to watch each service, some have become so faithful to come.

We had to go to Brunswich one day last week, and along I 95 there was a huge tree, at the top a very big nest, with two eagle heads popping out, what a site to see, how excited I was, and wish I had had my camera with us. UGH, but I will go back and try and get a good photo of them, it was dear to my heart, being Isa 40:31 is my life long verse God give to me over 40 years ago.

Have a very blessed and peaceful Monday, I am blogging and
having a very restful day. ♥

Sharing Saturday

Remember to set your clocks forward before you go to bed Saturday night.

Thursday we had a fun day with friends, had dinner and played some fun game too.

We had a great day yesterday, we tried out that new motor, went down the river about 4 miles, and fished a little too, just trying out to make sure it worked good, amen, it did. Came home at darkish and I fixed breaded pork chops and sweet potatoes, and asparagus, it was good, and then we relaxed for a while. Today we went to get our new glasses, yeahhhhh, they called when we were gone yesterday to say they are ready.  I love mine. guess what color, any one that knows me well will know.

Chuck has a memorial to do later, the folks are family of folks that were in our church, and they always call him when one of theirs dye. This is really a sad situation, this man 43 years old, was burned to death when a Meth lab exploded, yeah, oh me, what a terrible death that must of been, and far as I know (from the way he lived) he was not saved., they just seem to listen and will not hear, or act upon what they know to be true, pray for these folks, Chuck is really burdened for their souls.

This man is the dad of the boy I led to the lord when we were in Woodbine, James, then had the honor of leading his little girl to the lord during VBS, her name is Savannah, the mom to James and wife of dying man is Maria, she is James mom. The whole family needs the lord. Family name is Lloyd.

I plan on studying my lesson for tomorrow while he is gone, and make some cookies, or something sweet, I have this sweet tooth and just will not stay hidden, lol got to feed the sugar monster ya know.
So I pray you all have a wonderful weekend, and may God bless you real good.

Wonderful Wednesday

Good Morning on this 7th day of March, wow time is flying by,  It is lovely today, warmer and the sun is shining bright,  these days are good. Our garden is doing really good, potatoes are topping, so good, onions are getting bigger daily too, should have some wonderful strawberry's soon, lots on my plants. My watermelons are popping up too, and beets, just too much to talk about. You see this photo of Lilacs, we used to have the bushes all around our house in Michigan, they give off such a wonder smell, the whole yard smelled sweet like them, oh I miss them, I tried raising in Flordia when there but it died, I was very sad too, not sure if here in GA would do good or not, we are pretty much the same climate as where we were in Fl.

Tonight is prayer meeting and I do believe we are good to go tonight, praise the lord, reminds me of a little chorus we sing.  I'll Praise Your Name Lord.

I'll praise your name lord, and sing your song, I'll praise your name lord, my whole life long, I'll praise your name lord, til I get home, I'll praise your name lord and sing you song.

Then usually would sing Let Your Love flow through me.

Let your love flow through me, let your Love flow through me, make me a blessing lord where ever I may be. Keep me pure keep me clean so that you may be seen, let your love, let your love flow through me.

I hope your Wednesday is a good one, and some one will see Jesus in you today.
Be blessed and be a blessing, May God bless you real good.

Well I am back, and I just could not stay away, it got over whelming for a while when we were out daily, but things have calmed down in the Harris household, my dear husband is almost well again, and I am feeling fair to meddling. I made some of these cookies last night, and just had to share them with you, my wonderful bloggers, not sure if any one missed me or not, but I surely did miss you..Hope you enjoy making these, they are fun, and easy, I watched Paula Deen show the other day and she was making them for her picnic lunch with family, make a perfect dessert with a scoop of ice cream on them too, or just dunk like a donut in morning coffee. God bless Y'all real good.  ♥

God is love: 1 John 4:8 "He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love." That is some strong words here, and we see so many schisms in the church, that is not love, and that is not of God, we see here if we love, we are of God, where is your heart, search deep, find a place and time you accepted Christ and asked him into your heart. That is the very first step to find true love. May we have a testimony of love, and love all who come into our path way. The world must see love in the Christian or they will never see Jesus.

Have a blessed day and God is love, so let us love one another as Christ loved the church.

Well I am so bad about blogging these days, I think I have gotten out of the habit.
I am trying hard to get back into it, but seems life is busy even when we do not plan on things, seems like every day there is some where to go or something pressing to do. I love blogging when I have time, and here it is the month of  February, the month of love...Well so many things I love, will not put them today in this post, I rather bring you up to date with my life. All of my husbands treatments are over,
he is eating again, and I made his favorite breakfast today, the sausage roll with eggs on top, he ate every bit too, and have plenty for the next couple of days for him, he needs to eat well to regain his strength, this radiation treatments have really taken a
toll on him, it zapped his energy level to almost nothing, and he lost 10 pounds too, heis not over weight or a big man so he needs to put back on some of this weight. His coloring is coming back, and he is not coughing like he was, still some but, not like it was before, yes praise the lord he is on the mend, and perhaps things will get back to
normal soon.
We have had Revival all week at our church, we have made some of the meetings, but not all, he is very good and has his family with him that sings and plays instruments, it is quite refreshing and I have truly enjoyed the messages. Here is the link if you want to check him out. http://www.mcgilliardministries.com/   We have had 4 precious souls saved this week also, one a middle age man, and that was such a blessing, you know statistics say anyone over 20 usually do not get saved, but praise God he loves everyone and call all, if that were the case my dh and I would of not been saved, he was 33 and I was 31 past the age of statistics, God touches all hearts and draws them to himself no matter what age, my only regret is that I was not younger, and married a saved man, and raised our children from birth in a godly home, other than that, I am so happy we did
get saved and lived for Christ ever since, I have never been sorry that I accepted Christ  as Saviour, and I plan on living for him until my last breath. Amen and amen.

Well I am tired, I was sick too, but feeling pretty good again, just get tired too easy, hope you all have a very blessed day, and know my thoughts and prayers are with you all, I do love blogging and all my blogger friends. Have a wonderful weekend, tell some about Jesus today, lots of hugs sent your way.

I am so very thankful for my salvation, and for the wonderful book our lord gives to help us everyday, in all ways, for any trouble that
may come into our life. I hear folks talking about how bad America is, and it is, but we as Christians have let our Country go to the dogs, we say one woman got prayer taken out of school, no all the Christians stood by and did nothing and they took prayer out of school, then out of government, wonder when they will come for our bibles, and try and brainwash us to get rid of his word, but his word is forever, it will stand and has stood against the Devil and his group for thousands of years. Want change in  your County, God tells us how, plain and simple, If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14

We have the tools, are we willing to use them, now what are you thankful for.

It is a gorgeous day here in Georgia, a tad cool but not in need of a jacket. Blue skies where you can see the handiwork of our creator indeed.
Today is one week since the last radiation treatments, so I would think it would be healing up, even bad sun burn heals in a week.
That reminds me when we first moved to Florida, we being from Michigan had no idea of the sun in Florida. We all went down to the beach and spent the day, OH ME...big mistake, us lily white yankees on a hot beach for the day meant a burned and blistered bunch for sure. That must be how his throat inside is, burned and blistered, he did eat well last night but takes a long time and chewing very fine before swallowing.

But the healing is not as quick as being sunburned, he is still very sore, and having a hard time with mucus.
I had no idea it would be so long before he started feeling better, I am told it can take up to 5 weeks, yes we both need patience, when used to being so active and not being able to go like we did is hard. But I know I stayed home today from church, it is raining and with my cold I do not need to get sick and pass it on to him. We both struggle with getting everything that comes along, and with the RU program and bus ministry it would be impossible to keep those folks home when sick. Better to just stay away until he rebuilds his immune system.
He is swallowing Aloe Gel, mixing it with grape jelly , that helps with his sore throat. His throat is not dry, praise God, it is down in his vocal area that is hurting, beside his voice box.

I do not think God keeps us from getting disease to many verses say the opposite, beware of the wiles of the devil, and it rains on the just and the unjust, we are human and anything a lost person can get so can we, God only helps us get through what we have.
So we will see when it all ends, and I really appreciate all your prayers for us, and the encouraging words you write. God bless you all.
