(Sharing Saturday)

What was your favorite nursery rhyme when you were young, or favorite little diddy. I love this one, and found the photo of it today, so thought I would share with you all, if you have one, please feel free to share yours too. Hugs all my blogger friends.

Itsy Bitsy Spider

The itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout.
Down came the rain, and washed the spider out.
Up came the sun, and dried up all the rain,
and the itsy bitsy spider went up the spout again.

"Itsy Bitsy Spider" (also known as "Incy Wincy Spider" or "Eency Weency Spider") is a popular nursery rhyme that describes the adventures of a spider as it ascends, descends and reascends the downspout or "waterspout" of a gutter system

(or, alternatively, the spout of a teapot). It is usually accompanied by a sequence of gestures that mimic the words of the song. All these old Nursery Rhymes make me think where the minds where of those who created them, lol..Most did not even make sense, but guess that is what kids like, I know I did.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend, I am starting to feel some what better, and will stay out of the rain here. Lots of love for your day.

Well I am on my lap top, and my pictures are limited here, the Scripture here is really a good one, when you have time check it out.

Well I seen my doctor yesterday, seems I have Bronchitis, and strep throat, I knew my throat was sore, but, thought it was from coughing. she prescribed me some strong antibiotics, 875 mg. then cough syrup, they give me this huge bottle, guess she figured I was going to need it. I just ask you to pray with me, that I will get over this very soon, it has been over two weeks now, enough is enough. Yesterday was the first time I had been out since I got ill, we had dinner at a local restaurant even, I enjoyed that very much.

Have a great evening at prayer meeting, I will be praying for all of you, be a blessing to some one.

January has been comfort food for us, with me being sick so much. This past month, we have been in the mood for breakfast bakes, creamy casseroles and classic chicken dishes. Guaranteed, these hearty recipes will remain favorites all winter long. Keep you warm all day long.
you can replace the bacon with breakfast sausage too, makes a good variety.

I have made this for a Bible Study Brunch and was a huge success. The potatoes are a welcomed change from bread and the cottage cheese makes it oh so creamy. Wouldn't change a thing and will definately make again. Hope you enjoy your breakfast...

Frivolous Friday

Though I doubt if we will have much of a snack Super Bowl Sunday we will use these yummy recipes another time, will always be a hit with a gang. I know the Super Bowl is this Sunday, many wait all year for this, it is one Sunday, if I am well enough by then I will be in the house of the lord, not in front of a TV watching men pounding and bouncing off each other over a little football. LOL I like one game a year, that is the game of Florida VS Georgia, it is a good rival game, and our team is the Gators, we are Florida transplants here in Georgia so our team is forever in our heart. So any how, here are a couple quick good recipes for you to use.
Sausage Croissants

1 pounds sausage, cooked*
(any flavor desired - i.e. hot, mild, etc.)

2 cans crescent rolls
16 ounces cream cheese

Press the one can of the crescent rolls together at the seams in a jellyroll pan. Mix cooked sausage with

cream cheese and place on crescent roll dough. Put second layer of crescent rolls pressed together
on top (this is easy if placed on wax paper and pressed together at the seams and then flip it on top of the jellyroll pan). Bake as crescent
roll packaging directs. Cut into small wedges with a pizza cutter.
Flourless Double-Chocolate Pecan Cookies

Ingredients

Makes 12

3 cups confectioners' sugar
3/4 cup Dutch-process cocoa powder (spooned and leveled)
1/2 teaspoon coarse salt
5 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans (or other type of nut)
4 large egg whites, room temperature

Directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a large bowl, whisk together sugar, cocoa, and salt. Stir in chocolate and pecans. Add egg whites and stir just until incorporated (do not overmix).

Drop dough by 1/4 cupfuls, 3 inches apart, onto two parchment-lined rimmed baking sheets. Bake until cookie tops are dry and crackled, about 25 minutes, rotating sheets halfway through. Transfer sheets to wire racks and let cookies cool completely. (To store, keep in an airtight container, up to 3 days.)  If you back on a cookie sheet, they run from the spraying of sheet, best to follow the directions, they are so good.

I received this in an email, I thought it very unique so I am sharing it with you. It also reminds me of this song, lol

Ring-the-bells-of-heaven.mid

Ring the bells of Heaven! There is joy today,

For a soul, returning from the wild!
See, the Father meets him out upon the way,
Welcoming His weary, wandering child.

Glory! Glory! How the angels sing:
Glory! Glory! How the loud harps ring!
’Tis the ransomed army, like a mighty sea,
Pealing forth the anthem of the free.

Ring the bells of Heaven! There is joy today,
For the wanderer now is reconciled;
Yes, a soul is rescued from his sinful way,
And is born anew a ransomed child.

Glory! Glory! How the angels sing:
Glory! Glory! How the loud harps ring!
’Tis the ransomed army, like a mighty sea,
Pealing forth the anthem of the free.

Ring the bells of Heaven! Spread the feast today!
Angels, swell the glad triumphant strain!
Tell the joyful tidings, bear it far away!
For a precious soul is born again.

Glory! Glory! How the angels sing:
Glory! Glory! How the loud harps ring!
’Tis the ransomed army, like a mighty sea,
Pealing forth the anthem of the free.

I have been taking Alka Seltzer Plus and it seems to be breaking up the conjestion in my chest, making it possible to bring up, before it was just laying heavy on my chest.
I have been sick way too long, and with the way I feel is why I have not been around the sites lately, please forgive me, pray for me, and soon as I am able I will be writing more interesting subjects, and posting some good new recipes. Hope your day is a great one.

Pork Tenderloin

This is so delicious, I thought for today I would post it for you to try, I love pork, even though I know it is not good for me, anything pork is good to me. Hope you try this and let me know how you like it. I think perhaps Tuesday I will try it again, for company coming then, pray I get to feeling better, I have had this bad cold, started as a head cold now in my chest, I am coughing a lot too, I rubbed down with Vick last evening before bed, and used the wax paper we used to when I was young, felt so funny, I was a real crinkle with every move.
So here is the Pork Tenderloin Recipe for you.

Ingredients

1 (1 1/2 pound) fat-trimmed pork tenderloin
salt and pepper to taste
all-purpose flour for dusting
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 (8 ounce) bottle Russian-style salad dressing
3/4 cup honey
1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix

Directions

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2.Trim any excess fat from pork and pat dry with a paper towel. Season with salt and pepper. Dust with flour, shaking off any excess.
3.In a large skillet, heat 1 to 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Sear the pork in the oil, rotating to brown evenly all sides. Transfer to a baking dish just large enough to fit the tenderloin.
4.In a bowl, stir together the Russian-style salad dressing, honey, and onion soup mix. Pour evenly over the tenderloin, rolling the meat to coat on all sides. Cover with aluminum foil.
5.Bake, covered, in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, basting with glaze every 10 minutes. Remove foil and continue baking another 30 minutes, or until pork is no longer pink in the center.

From My House To Yours

Isn't it funny how our lives intertwine, most of us have
never met, yet we know each other, we look forward to seeing what each other have to say, in our every day life, even though we do not what all that life holds.
God has joined believers all over the world, that we reach out to each other, and even though never meet, we have a kinship, that was made possible though the blood of Christ, he made us family, and all that is in his family are our family. So sister to sister, and brother to brother, we unite as Christians, spreading the rich word of the Gospel to all around, we have so much in common most of us lead the same life, and some old, some young, some rich, some poor, we still unite as sisters coming together to read what we feel is important.
I ask that you pray for our son Jim, he is the same one that was so sick a year ago, and received Jesus Christ as his saviour then. He passed out at work the other day, and after some testing and X Rays, they have found a nodule on his lung, it is 17mm and has grown from 3mm 3 months ago, not sure why something was not done when they first fount it, but now it is about 1/2inch, and sure needs some tending to. So I ask that you pray with me over this, and that the lord will hear, and may his will be done. I really appreciate it.
It is warming here, in the 50's now, and cleared finally after two full days of rain, I am ready for some sunshine now. I hope you have a great evening at prayer meeting, and if you would add my son, Jim Harris to your list.
Thank each of you, and know you are in my prayers.

Today The Simple Woman's Daybook

Outside my window... I see it is foggy and drizzling.

I am thinking... That this is going to be a very quiet and peaceful day.

I am thankful for...For the nice comfortable home I have.

From the kitchen... The smell of coffee is making me feel very warm and cozy.

I am wearing... My jammies and robe and slippers
I am creating... gifts for valentines day

I am going...to check for eggs in bit, when I finish here

I am reading...Phillip Kellers, The 23rd Psalm, it is a wonderful book, I recommend reading it if you get the chance.

I am hoping... That my dear husband has a very good day with the ministry work.

I am hearing... Nothing but the hum of my computer.

Around the house... I will get lots of cleaning done today, being alone here gives me much ambition.

One of my favorite things... Is to hear good preaching.

A few plans for the rest of the week....Tomorrow will be an early dinner, and church for prayer meeting. Thursday will be another running day, and Friday back to Jacksonville, FL.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

Thought for the Day...A Better and an Enduring Substance

"For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise."
(Hebrews 10:36)
As Christians, we have certain heavenly possessions, and this knowledge helps us put our earthly possessions and welfare in proper perspective.

True Contentment...Comes from knowing Jesus Christ as personal saviour, he will give you the only true contentment in your life, the world cannot give contentment, only some one without sin or baggage can give us contentment. Like the book of Philippians says, in 4:11  "Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content."

I hope you enjoyed what I have shared here today, I have followed Simple Woman's Daybook from Jan Dante

Sharing It Saturday
I have not shared a good recipe in a while, with Christmas over and most stuffed and sick of goodies and sweets I stayed away from it, but, today I am sharing a great recipe from the Hershey them self, it is no doubt the best chocolate around, I have tried others but none like Hershey. Hope you enjoy this recipe I have chosen. They are easy, they are tasty and my memories of them are great.
They had every petit four imaginable on the cruise we went on, the whole table was fill with them, now most did not taste as good as they looked, but this recipe is the best, and they will be the hit of any party or shower.
Brownie Petit Fours

Ingredients

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, melted
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped walnuts(optional)
2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) HERSHEY'S Mini Chips Semi-Sweet Chocolate
3 tablespoons shortening(do not use butter, margarine, spread or oil)
Sprinkles or decorator's icing(optional)

Directions

1.Heat oven to 350°F. Line 9-inch square baking pan with foil; grease foil.
2.Stir together butter, sugar and vanilla in bowl. Add eggs; beat well with spoon. Stir together flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; gradually add to egg mixture, beating until well blended. Stir in walnuts, if desired. Spread batter evenly in prepared pan.
3.Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until brownie begins to pull away from sides of pan. Cool completely in pan on wire rack; refrigerate about 2 hours.
4.Using edges of foil, lift brownie out of pan. Peel off foil; cut into 1-1/4 inch squares and allow to warm up to room temperature.
5.Line tray with wax paper. Melt small chocolate chips and shortening in small heavy saucepan over very low heat. Dip each brownie square into melted chocolate, covering completely. (Return to heat if chocolate cools and is hard to coat.) Gently tap on side of pan to allow extra chocolate to drip off. Place on prepared tray. Allow chocolate to set at room temperature or refrigerate until set (about 30 minutes); decorate as desired. Drizzle frosting over them,
(Sprinkles should be added just before chocolate sets.) About 3 dozen petit fours.
